The A4 also works perfectly with the DJI wrist remote which captures GPS data and automatically puts it in the video file in the camera. The A4 camera, mic 2, and wrist remote connect automatically after pairing them the first time. After powering up all three units, they automatically connect and then all three start and stop with a press of the remote. Best of all, it works every time! Love your channel!
What do you say to those of us that don't have the OA3 and is considering a purchase? So far, I didn't see enough spec differences in the 4 over the 3 to justify the purchase price.
I had an osmo action 3 i am glad i returned and waited and bought the osmo action 4 i done my thirst sérios recording a couple weeks ago when i went to london...the foitage looks amazing all i have to do his edit and put it all togerher as a single vídeo... thankyou for all the help apriciated wish you well

But then I just took a peek at your work and realized you really don't need to know about better equipment. Pencil and parchment would be more than sufficient to create your "masterpieces". 🤌
Sold my Action 1 for 150 and got the A4 for $300, pretty happy so far, the quality and stabilization is so good, the magnetic mount is super convenience :)

The connection between the mic and the Action 4 is such a huge thing. You mentioned in another comment that you have a motorbike. I'd be interested to know how you would approach having 2 cameras (one on the helmet and one on the handlebars facing you) and 2 mics (one inside your helmet and one elsewhere to capture engine sounds) to record motovlogs and if the remote would be helpful in that scenario. I think motovlogging is an area that DJI are creeping ahead in recently.

But I still have one important doubt: when I hit the fast record button, does the external mic start as well....or I must turn on the mic separately? (I suppose the mic 2 has some kind of auto power off). I'm planning to use this setup in my trail running races but I don't want to turn two things and check if everything is connected every time...
The mic won’t turn on automatically with the camera if the mic is off, but if it’s on it will automatically connect when you hit record on the camera from the camera being off.
I have the 3 and really enjoy using it. I've owned it since Feb 2023 and have not had a single issue. But I am considering getting the 5 if it has a 1 inch sensor. I might upgrade my Mics as well since I have the DJI Mic 1.

I just got the Pocket 3 and wonder if I would have been better off with the Action 4. I love the convenience of my Action 3. The Pocket 3 makes a great picture, but I find it just a bit clunky.

At this point, probably makes sense to just wait for the Action 5. I'm sure it will get some big updrades after 2 gens of basically the same camera.

The battery life alone makes the DJI worth the price. I can capture nearly 1 whole enduro event on one battery.

Yes, but you’ll need a receiver plugged in via USB-C.

Only DJI Mic 2 transmitter via Bluetooth, any other mic needs an RX.
