These are the lines said by the party members during the end of LISA. I didn't see a video about this so I decided to make one myself, I feel that this really adds to the characters of the party members as (for most at least) it shows their motivation for joining you in the first place.

What's interesting is that, for the most part, the party members you get early on care more for you than the ones you meet later on.
Shocklord would be the sole exception in the matter.

except they spend a lot of time fighting together in a side quest
Rage does want Buddy, but he also loves Brad. He's honest with him, but that doesn't mean he's proud of it. My first run, Rage nearly broke my heart when he said that. For some reason, I especially like Queen Roger's. "I hope we're not making a mistake." He seems like the most genuine of the later members, like he truly wants to do good for the world but doesn't know if this is the right way.
Only 2 people say that they dont want to fight with you, but terry doesnt fight with him aswell since he helped terry the whole way, sacrificing his items for him, and saving him from bandits if youre unlucky, sacrificing your arm if youre unlucky and at the end, terry fights amazingly after all that and at the end, he cant hold himself and he just cries

Hell , I wrote a 1500 word english essay where Carp was basicly a main character (well more of a antagonist) , nobody knew about that and even though I easilly wrote the best essay in the whole class nobody said shit and I didn't even get a fake pat on the back , suffice to say Carp was my favourite character

@@moshe5446 he's fairly good with skills that have high stun and rooster apocalypse that is costly but strong multi target. Main drawback is overall high SP consumption but he's good with Nern or colacola colas to replenish SP and DoT skills or items such as dirty water, fire bombs, or Olan's poison arrows
He was just watching every decision Brad made, putted everything together on what he witnessed throughout their journey and on the end of all say what it was the best for everyone. However Brad's numbing rage made him feel nothing about those words and let the Joy carry him on to Rooster and the other members demise...
I really like Buffalo's quote. It's by far the most sensible out of all of them. He doesn't assume Brad's intentions or has any ulterior motives and he seems genuinely sincere in his remorse that it had to come to this.

Jackie J Yeah, I agree. He genuinely believes Buddy is the last hope for humanity and won't hesitate to fight, but that dialogue shows that for what little time he knew him, he respected Brad and considered him a friend.

No, Terry sometimes fights back, very weakly in flails, which is still sad. But Shocklord never attacks once, he cries the whole fight.
I can see why people find the strongest bond with Terry, and I felt that too, but Shocklord hit me hard. Arm-Shock for life.
Like he said, he barely knows Brad, so he wouldn't be that sad over this choice.
At least he isn't an asshole like RT or Fly.

I had carp terry and shocklord everyone mostly cried and carp did a 10 dmg slash, and terry did like a 2 dmg flail but that was it, this was the only game that actually made me tear up

And then I was forced to destroy them.
They didn’t fight back, for the most part. I felt awful.
Olan and Nern, honestly a damn fine power house grouping, coupled with Birdie and Brad’s fire attacks (withdrawal or not) makes for some high hitters

Just the way he says “he can see it in his eyes” really just shows he cared about Brad’s addiction, and was one of the very few companions if not not the only to know that Brad had potential but had it screwed over by his addiction for joy.

i had the exact party composition (ajeet, birdie, yazan) so none of them explicitly stated they were here to stop me. i thought they were actually here to help me, based on birdie, and that brad just went joy crazy and killed them all.
You can also have Tiger Man, Buckets and Carp just say "brad." between all three.

Queen Roger was a good dude, I wonder if he cries when fighting you, because certain temmates will cry when fighting against you due to past experiences, and some like Crisp LaDaddy or Buckets won't shed a tear. You've made bondds with some, time to find out who.

Despite what he says beforehand, I believe Rage will spend some turns crying.
I think Rage only says what he says in order to help Brad not feel bad about killing them. It's funny how many ways you can hide friendship in hatred.

My favorite parting line is probably Queen Roger's, tbh. He strikes me as a more introspective fella than he lets on, moreso than one would expect of him, running a brothel at the end of the world. You really do get the impression that he understands the world is fucked either way; even if they do get ahold of Buddy and use her to repopulate, one girl alone can't fix everything, and it's more than likely the world is still gonna go to shit and humanity will die off regardless. He still has to hope, has to try, because maybe, maybe, it will make things better... But he also knows the amount of carnage and trauma that's resulted from this hunt for the girl, and feels deep in his gut that it isn't going to be worth the cost.

"For the first time in my life I'm speechless" is my favorite. Taking a random, silly joke when getting Nern and turning it into him being so disappointed in me. Not just Brad, but Me. It's unfortunate that the team members don't have any character besides getting them and these lines, but they still felt like my best friends in those fights. Fuck man.
In any other game, this would have been the part where your friends appear out of nowhere to help you fight against overwhelming waves of foes. This is not any other game; this is Monokuma's dream game and Brad is going to have to earn that ending.

In this section, your party members really fight you, they go all out, use healing items and support each other. Hell maybe all of the party members you've recruited fight you. That'd be, what, 31 at most? good luck.

Oh hell yeah, this sounds painful and fun, maybe they'd even say things in the battle, talking to each other, trying to get through to Brad and reacting when they and others die. Hell, maybe they'd even have sprite changes as they get more hurt as the fight progresses.
I always wanted to play a rpg with this, your own party, the people you been walking all along go out and try to kills you not because of evil magic but because of you, you lost sight and gone completely mad, they need to stop you and the whole fight is literally only you versus your full leveled party trying their best efforts, using effects, guard strats, items, everything to end you, hardest fight, gosh i want a fight like that

My team was the first 3 I met. Terry, Nern, and Olan. The dialoug and battle of these three members was pretty rough..
When I saw the cutscene for the first time I thought "Hooray,now the fight against Rando's army won't be so hard"

Ajeet at 1:31 said it perfectly........but. Im......Fuck, i have the same feeling at the end of this game as i did in the Last of us. I REALLY REALLY dont saving the world at the cost of your own happiness is the best decision, because (besides Rando) everyone WAS out to just use her, just like with Ellie it was never about actually caring about them it was about satisfying their own agendas. Which is why i feel once again I think the Villain protagonist aka Brad was right in when he was trying to do, just like Joel was in the last of us.
Now was Brads methods of trying to protect her right? By secluding her inside and not letting her see the world for what it was right, no i dont think so but in the end everything he did all the sacrifices he went through was all for a genuine cause and i respect him the same level I respect Commander Shepard from Mass Effect. You deserved better Brad and Buddy, you two truely did; what a fantastic fucking game it was......
Even then, regardless of what others intentions are... you can't repopulate humanity with just 1 girl.

The most emotionally hard moment in the game, as for me. That time Bo was in my party. It was physically painful for me to kill this nice genial bard when all he did was playing familiar melodies, did not want to fight, cried himself and made Brad cry with his music. One of the most beloved comrades in this game... My heart was crushed into pieces. THANK GOD that besides Bo, there were no Terry, Carp, Shocklord or Queen in thу party, otherwise I would have been morally destroyed a little more than completely.

@Theusernameless Brad is turning into a joy mutant at that time, and you know you cannot trust whatever he sees. The only true confirmable thing is that rando's army was heavily injured and rando himself was hurt.
I say this because if everyone dies, you fight their shadows, and that same blood pile still appears. Probably just a rpgmaker quirk admittedly though in how the story scripting runs.

Aw, these sting so badly :( my party was Birdie, Rage, and Queen Roger, and it was heartbreaking going into a battle where all three of them started to cry. (Also it really speaks to the quality of the game that all of these comments have different parties and favourites, it seems - if you’re dedicated enough, you can run anyone just based on liking them enough. More RPGs should aspire to that.)

I had Terry and Nern, and the game says that they were hesitating and even cried when fighting Brad. I was heartbroken by it. But Jack didn't, god damm it Jack.

Rage does cry throughout the fight, implying that he was bluffing/provoking Brad to fight him seriously or that despite his selfish nature, he did feel some respect towards Brad.

What kills me about this is not a one of these guys is smart enough to realize that one girl is not going to make a lick of difference as far as humanity is concerned. You can't save a species with one female and a pile of males. That's not enough new people, not enough genetic diversity. In short, Buddy doesn't matter. Brad knows enough to know that at the very least, she's going to be the last woman get used up by men.
Alex Arft ? There is enough genetic diversity because there is a large enough pool of males to breed from. There wouldn't be enough genetic diversity if males were a limited resource as well. The problem is that buddy has to give birth to females and she only has a limited amount of tries. Then there are medical complications that could arise.
But there actually is more than enough genetic diversity... Also, the woman with the most amount of child births ranks in at 69 children. So, let's say 15 children for Buddy. If at least some of those are female, then humanity could actually be saved.
But all of those people that are born are all going to make a bunch of imbreds...
So hear me out, if Buddy manages to give birth to 20 females or so, all of those have sex and manage to give birth to a bunch of girls and a bunch of guys, the guys cant reproduce since if they do they would create inbreds that fuck everything up, and most of the people that were born before the "White Flash" would probs be old as fuck and infertile, but if they still manage to have sex and make babies, then Congrads, those are the last not inbred people that are going to exist.
Since all of the people that existed before the flash are old and infertile now Buddys descendants are going to have to have sex with eachother, but guess what.

Yep, you guessed right (maybe i dont fucking know), they all share buddys DNA, which makes their babies inbreds, and the human race is doomed.
(This can however be changed if buddy isnt really the last female on earth, but only in Olathe and her descendants manage to find other women and they create enough babies to recreate the human race.)
There are other girls out there. Austin said all games are canonical so lisa the lustful is also canonical. So, including buddy there are at least 10 girls out there. Enough to save a few 100 variations of the human gene pool. It's gonna be hard but buddy and those who get to procreate have a chance at redeeming olathe.
Of course it makes all the difference. Even if two people who share both parents (closest genetic makeup) have a kid, the kid isn't guaranteed to have complications that arise out of inbreeding, and even those that DO, aren't guaranteed to die, or become infertile as a result of it.
A bunch of inbreds in the first few generations sure as hell beats allowing humanity to go extinct. Lack of genetic diversity, doesn't reduce the possibility of re-population to 0. With 0 women, however, humanity is 100% doomed.

It’s very possible that these are just hallucinations as randos army do not react to brad killing his friends and because there should be no way for them to get there
Meaning this is Brads subconscious telling him to stop which makes this worse
It is canon that no companion survives, also, in the event that, for some reason, you get them all killed (via joy mutants) you fight a shade of them.

My team was Terry, Birdie and Nern and when I started fighting, they were crying and they barely even hit me! At that point, I WANTED them to hurt me, to give me SOME reason to fight them. Man, this is the only game that makes you want to surround yourself with assholes just so you won't feel bad while killing them
carp, terry, and shocklord was my team.. turns out they were all the ones who were attatched to me. When I killed them, oh boy.
Carp’s is so sad
Having to fight Shocklord and seeing his reaction to the fight was seriously the most heart wrenching moment to me in the game. He doesn't even attack you in the fight.

Got to this part with Shocklord, Terry and Olan. That was fucked up.
My first party was RT, Mad Dog and Birdie.
Not a very emotional group but that oil spit turns olathe into a fucking inferno
I saved Terrys life at every opportunity, and barely made it past some areas because of the lack of items, but we pulled through and despite him not being the best for combat (I never got him to the level where he gets beefy) he was always #2 in my party just on principal. I like to roleplay when I play games like this and my Brad would have kept Terry by his side.
When Brad proved he was too lost to do anything but hurt the people around him, I didn't feel betrayed by Terry. I saw him as a hero stepping up to stop his closest friend from selfishly dooming all of humanity. Even if the other party members didnt gang up to stop Brad, I believe that Terry still would have tried. Just like Rando, Terry owes Brad everything, but the fate of the son is to surpass the father, the pupil to the master, and the hero to the villain.
Pretty much Terry is a raging chad with a massive hog

I had Nern, Birdie and Shocklord
Nern is like a father, half depressed and half disappointed of the current situation, yet still tries his very best to remain in character.
Birdie was a man who lost his entire family and recurred to drink alcohol until he no longer could, but a kind man offered him to come with him, making him his only friend and possibly the only important thing to him. And he must have had to kill him.
Shocklord respected and admired Brad like he never did anyone else before. He was not only a friend, but also a master to him.
The battle was pretty much like this:
"Shocklord doesn't wanna do this..."
"Birdie started crying..."
"Nern shoots Brad!"
"Nern starts to cry..."
"Shocklord attacks Brad! But it failed."
"Birdie is crying..."
"Shocklord is crying..."
"Nern shoots Brad! But it failed."
"Birdie doesn't wanna do this..."

considering my final party was Ajeet, Buff Van Dyke and it ended on Fardy's "Its time to die Brad", i got a really powerful ending since quite a lot of these are self centered
it sorta ruins it that... a 10 year old likely wont survive birth, especially since olathe seems to have no medice or equipments avaliable like what will they do if she has a misscarriage or starts bleeding to death and the baby is male?
it might be safe to assume that Rando would sort of keep her safe till she is off age and being a Warlord he might know someone with some medical experience and equipment
Oof, sad thing is that if you play Joyful and get one of the endings where she gives birth, the baby is a fuckin' male. Not saying she couldn't have more but yeah.
@@MilkPlus1962 There is a silver lining in Lisa: The Hopeful, who dingaling said was canon. There apparently is more than one woman who survived, and there is apparently more in hiding somewhere. This implies the flash perhaps didn't kill the women, but just stole them away.
Personal opinion: The flash didn't cause the apocalypse. It caused Olathe to die out, but only olathe. The rest of the world is fine. We'll never 100% know though since Dingaling isn't going to make any more games in this universe.

I had Terry, Mad Dog, and Birdy in my party when I first beat LISA. I've never cried at a game before then. And my game never cried back.
I'm glad I had Olan, Beastborn and Shocklord. "Sorry, but you can't do this... She is our future. I'm going to miss drinking with you..." "Goodbye, human..." "I don't like this... guys this ain't right. Brad, I don't want to hurt you! Stand down, please..." It made for a really emotional first run.
I almost quit because I had the main party but switched Olan with shocklord. What Shocklord said deadass made me start crying.
Ajeet is probably the smartest one in olathe. He really never says anything stupid.

This hits just as hard as seeing it a few years ago. While the climax itself may be a little weird, it's hard to say anything in the game quite matches facing your own "party".
Nern's "for the first time in my life I'm speechless" honestly almost made me cry.
Especially considering the fact that I wanted to disband or preferably kill him after that bullshit long story.
I draw the line at any game having you kill your own party members
It pains me every time when I see one of the companions say he doesn't want to kill Brad even though I've never had most of them as part of my main party

TBH, I cant help but feel like this all could've been avoided if Brad joined Rando instead. The ideal plan is he'd keep her a secret until she's old enough to have complex opinions and can advocate for herself, then joins up with Rando for the extra safety. If he joined when she was a baby, it's likely someone would've done unspeakable things to her and they never would've known.
The saddest part is when members that can't even speak English does so for the first time

in my first run i recruit every possible character in the game , end up with nern, birdie and RT (spit strategy) (joyless) i felt very sad an sorry when i was forced to kill everyone... nern cried most of the time and Birdie cried all the time...
but i have to say, the rando battle wasn't emotionally easy at all...
I'm just imagining what if somebody's first time seeing this was was with buckets, tiger man and carp. Complete silence and the only words that come out of any of their mouths would just be carp faintly saying your name

I had Terry Nern and Olan, and I decided if anything bad happens, I won't reset over it. Olan left the party so I replaced hi. With Harvey Alibastor and Nern got kidnapped in area 3 so he died. I replaced Nern with fly.
this game is EVIL, i had the silly fish guys and nern on my team and god am i glad i didn't have shocklord. i genuinely would've cried.
