There also needs to be an account of the gyroscopic precession that occurs when the blades are rotating at an angle - thus producing a torque due to angular momentum.
Finally got to know the physics behind a drone . What most people do is that they just assemble the parts of a drone and think they are done but that's very superficial and there are only a few who endeavour to know the physics behind a drone.
I have just learnt the system control for only two weeks, about the very start of the semester, and my brain has already broken down several times. This is HARD.
Very well explained in a simple fashion. This topic is so important and in my experience hard to learn and apply at a high level. Respect to those who deal in control systems, like those freak of knowledge SpaceX bois.
The diagonally opposite pairs of rotors rotate in the same direction. 1 2 O 4 3 Assume these are four rotors. If *1,3 turn clockwise* then *2,4 **_have to_** turn anticlockwise* to avoid having the whole drone spinning about "O". This is due to the inertial of the rotor's motion affecting the whole drone. Now, if you speed up the first pair, you'll observe the whole drone turning clockwise, since the whole frame experiences greater force(torque, strictly speaking) in the clockwise direction about "O". Similarly, increasing the speed of 2,4 (or alternatively decreasing 1,3, though that may result in a slight loss of lift) should give you anticlockwise yaw.
always like to see your videos. your explanation is very good. but i hope in the future you want to add the subtitles/cc in your videos. thank you very much
Quadcopters usually have 2 motors that spin clockwise diagonally opposite and 2 motors that spin counter-clockwise, otherwise they would not be able to easily maintain stable flight. The pitch of the blades is variant on which way they spin as well.
This is great but I recommend you to make videos for less mature audience as you will get more views for that as majority of the audience of you channel are students in schools

I too !!!!
Thank you for appreciating me!

Why. Why do these comments exist. I could be a mass murderer or a rapist. You still appreciate me huh?
Eric Laval thank you. Have a good day!

awsome intro to control and laplace transformation. I study mechanical engineering and Laplace transform is really important in my fields
Very helpful, Lesics is always so straight to the point and understandable.
Control system using drone where close loop control system one of the finest channel Explanation of daily life science 👍👍👍👍👍👍

You guys should do a video on PID loops. Excellent video, as always
Hi sir I think there r a lot of videos related to the PID control I think some will be good for you
This is the best channel on RUclips!!
I totally loved the animated explanation 😍
U just make a very simple thing complex
One best channel for engineering students

don't forget equation for wind resistance (that we never once worried about in school) :D
Beautiful video! One of the best that explain what Control Systems is. Thank you :)

Isn't d2theta/dt2 angular acceleration?
Nice video! How does the 1/s on the left side of the equation appears at 4:48 though? There isn't an integral term to give that 1/s.
