Hey guys and welcome to todays video where we are talking the best lip balms and the ones which wont dry your lips out.. Let me know what your current favourite is in the comments below.. Love you all x
This is just what I need because I always end up going back to a Chapstick for the spf! I use it a lot because I drink throughout the day and my lips feel dry. ❤
Rob- I almost posted what Wilma posted up above the other day. I drink a lot of water and sparkling waters throughout the day which rubs my lip balm off. And my skin is very dry. And sometimes I lick my lips. So I def apply my lip balm a lot! My fave is Hurraw! Lip balm as it is made in my home state, but I’m open to trying others. AS long as they are under $10!
Paulas choice lip and body treatment balm is an underrated gem. I like to apply a thick layer right before going to bed. It repairs the lips overnight and keeps them soft. I use it every night and one jar lasts for over 6 months so it's 100 % worth the price.
Thank you so much for this video. I have been suffering for a long time with dry crusty sore lips and have purchased so many balms and treatments that never worked for me. I have never heard of some of these lip balms that you mentioned, so I will definitely be trying some of them out.
I love the MAS lip balm. So soothing. Anything leftover goes on my hands. I’ve also been loving the Biossance squalane + rose lip balm. Great info!! Thanks Rob!!🩷🩷🩷
I get chapped lips every winter and after watching this video I bought two of the Allies of Skin lip balms in their November sale. OMG what a difference. I put it on in the morning and evening and that's it. I've barely had any chapping, it's brilliant. I would never have paid so much for a lip balm before but it's definitely worth it as you can use it sparingly. Best of all - it works! Thanks for the recommendation.
Hi Rob, this is one of the most useful videos I’ve watched. My lips have been in the worst state ever this Winter & nothing works. All the chemist products have those nasty ingredients you mentioned & just irritate. I’ve researched & watched other RUclips’s not being able to source the products mentioned in Australia. 4 out of 6 products you presented are available down under. So big thanks. Definitely will order your products soon too💋🇦🇺
Thanks for such a helpful video. :-) For years, I tried all sorts of lip bombs, drugstore and high-end. I have sensitive skin in general, and my lips would just peel with most of the things I tried. I finally discovered Maybelline's Baby Lips tinted lip balm. it works perfectly, only needing to be applied twice a day during winter and once during summer. It's an older product now, not something that's trendy or sexy. I keep expecting them to discontinue it for that reason, and I buy multiple tubes every few months to make sure that I won't be stuck. I wish I knew why it worked so well for me while other lip balms failed. Understanding why it works for me would help me find a replacement when I need it or at least point me in the right direction.
My favorite lip balm of all time is the one from MAS. You may have heard of it 😆 I'm nearly finished with my pot, which means I probably have a month left...then it's reorder time
Cay Skin day & Laneige at night. Cay Skin is beachy. I use berry in Laneige. Lilah B goes with me when I leave the house. These 3 are my hard core go to's.
I love Hurraw and Crazy rumors lip balms. In the evening, I use the Laneige lip mask and when I'm out (walking the dog for example), I use Paula's choice spf balm. These have been my favourites for several years now. During the day I only reapply after meals, no need to reapply every hour 👌
Do you know about a brazillian brand called "Quem disse Berenice"? Well they make a lip balm/ lip mask called "Lip Please" with several bothanical oils, peptides and some hyaluronic acid. It's heavenly! It smells naturally sweet and has a thick jelly consistence that envelops the lips in goodness all night. I so recommend!
I have super sensitive lips, so my favorite lip product of all time is Dr. Bronner’s Naked Organic Lip Balm, which is almost as simple as you can get. BUT my dermatologist just diagnosed me with a contact allergy to propolis and told me not to use my Dr. Bronner’s because it has beeswax 🤦🏻♀️ Propolis contains like 30 different compounds that are also found elsewhere, meaning I might actually be allergic to a ton of things, including fragrance and even carnauba wax. I’m still waiting to see an allergist, and I’m hoping they might be able to help me narrow it down and/or give me a comprehensive list of ingredients I should avoid. In the meantime, I switched to a lip balm that should be free of propolis and anything to do with bees, but it irritated my lips like crazy. I think’s because it has candelilla wax, which contains benzyl alcohol, also found in propolis 😭 At the moment, the only things I know I can put on my lips without issue are Vaseline and CeraVe Healing Ointment. I’m ok with that at night, but I really prefer a stiffer stick/bullet form of lip balm during the day. But good luck finding one of those without beeswax or candelilla wax or something else I’m allergic to. I’ll probably have to start making my own once I have a list of ingredients to avoid.
Oh that's so interesting thank you for sharing your experience and sorry to hear you have to cut out propolis as your right it's wonderful ingredient.. sending love xx
Hi, I have sensitive lips and I like the Dr. Bronner's naked lip balm too. A stick lip balm that I like a bit better than the Dr. Bronner's lip balm is the Natio shea butter lip balm. For me personally, it's very sensitive skin friendly. Just thought I'd mention it in case it's helpful at all. This is the ingredient list: Mineral Oil, Ozokerite, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Microcrystalline Wax, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Silica, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Synthetic Wax.
@@sheridanbeverley9173 thank you so much for sharing that! I will definitely keep it in mind once I’ve figured out all the ingredients I need to avoid. From this ingredients list, the only one I’m potentially concerned about is “synthetic wax.” If that means synthetic beeswax, I’ve read that even that can contain propolis, which makes me want to pull my hair out 😆 But if my allergist thinks I can use it, I will definitely check it out! I’m hoping that I might be able to do some more thorough patch testing when it comes to specific products that might be ok but we’re not sure.
I hope seeing the allergist will be helpful for you! Another stick lip balm came to mind recently, the Blistex simple and sensitive lip balm. It contains 5 ingredients: petrolatum, theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, hydroxystearic acid, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, phenoxyethanol. I haven't tried this one but I have seen Dr. Dray recommend it in the past 🙂
“Lip IVO” has been my favorite lip balm for decades. But it seems like it’s not being made any more? I don’t know, I can’t find any which really stinks. Trying to find something that works as good as it does.
Just make your own. Shea or cocoa butter; coconut or argan oil; vanilla extract or rose oil. Warm up in a pan, and stir in these together, and then pour into an old Vaseline container or a little lip balm pot and let cool! Boom!!
@@MadAboutSkin Thanks for the quick reply. I will keep an eye out. Loved the video but still having a hard time on what to choose but I need to get something soon.

Rob was going to buy your lip balm and your exfoliating gel, but the gel is out of stock. Do you know when you're expecting more in? Ta! ❤

I usually apply my 5% urea unfragranced hand cream on my lips and it's all I need...😊
Oh that's such a good shout and a great way of getting 2 uses out of a product.. hope all is amazing with you xx
I didn't realize I needed this video! It actually never occurred to me that I could just use lip balm twice a day.
Yay I am so so glad the video came in useful and sending you lots of love x
Weleda skin food lip balm & facetheory bioactive lip balm are the only 2 balms that fixed my chronic dry lips.
Thanks so much for sharing Rob! I've been using 100% lanolin and that seems to be the most effective for me
Thank you so much for sharing and sending you lots of love x
@@MadAboutSkin Sending love to you as well ❤️❤️

Aquaphor is my go to. It's the only thing that doesn't irritate my lips further and it's very moisturizing.

Thank you for sharing, however, i use Alida Pure lip balms and they truly are amazing, especially their Cherry flavor
I've been using Aquaphor lip repair stick + sunscreen (spf30) during the day for a long time now. Super affordable, absolutely love it, no complaints
