Just discovered this awsome Breadbox size Head. Very impressive. Thanks for the review. I checked the Driftwood website, spoke to the CEO for a while and finally ordered one 22W custom Nightmare mini, with Noisegate and sizzle Switch. This will be my x-mas present for me (like Journey sung: Be good to yourself ;.). I think this little Amp makes corona lockdown a bit more funny, even for the neighbours.. I remember the "good old days" when I was a roadie and hangaround at local hard rock bands, for guitar we always used a Tom Scholz Power-Soak to reduce the JTM50 (later JCM800) Marshall output to 19.5W or 22W into 412 Cabinet. Although we had large rehersal room and no neighbours to fear, this wattage was the ultimate level we could drive without all loosing our hearing permanently. Sure it rang for hours after the rehersal.. but this was Rock'n Roll in the Eighties. The louder the better.. We didn't care much about our ears that time, as long as the sound was great and loud.

Great amp and great review, but just one thing: you should try pushing the mids up so we can see how they react, in metal, the mids are surely the most important frequency, so we have to know how they react
Otherwise it was quite a good review and you gave a good impression of what the amp can do, I just like to see how the eq, and more specifically the mids, react when they're pushed
Sounds killer, hard to hear the low-end...would have liked to see high-gain drive channel with TS dialed in as you would typically use in pedal form. Nice demo.

Matt The Riff Master Yes, it's great. I also have a sizzle mod built in after I bought it. Its an additional switch, that adds high end fizz. When it's turned off, the amp sounds smoother and when it's turned on it sounds more like a 5150 like amp with this 5150ish high end fizz. Nice mod...
