I watched the Foreman vs Moorer fight live on TV with my dad. When Foreman knelt and prayed in the corner after he won was the first time I ever saw my father shed a tear. Dad still has his original Foreman grill too 😂
Foreman wore the same trunks he wore in the Ali loss, to the moorer win...I want those red trunks to give to my son to wear at his wedding and then at my funeral. 🤐
One of the greatest ever, gave Holyfield a war 13 years past his prime, imagine what a prime foreman could of done to the heavyweights of the 90s, the only man who could truly beat a prime Foreman was Ali and that was due to Foreman’s naivety, Foreman could have been the best ever
You know they say your in your prime when your at your peak mentally and physically. With this I feel George may have been in his prime the night he shocked the world against moorer. Young George didn't have the mental strength and maturity to be a great, it took life lessons and time to transform him.
I love foreman too. But i believe that old big george was better than his younger version.. same "speed", Better mentaly and tactically, better chin protection, defence and probably even more power due to more mass. But i dont think this is good cooperation.. Wilder is totally different type of puncher.. We dont need huge overweighted strong slower Wilder. I truly believe his power is his speed and athleticism. Wilder needs get back to his natural fit weight arround 215-220lbs but work on his defence.. I believe he needs mayweather to help him with footwork and defence..

Yes awesome production by Bored as always. Me too, I really didn't realise George came back like that at his later years. Very emotional and so fucking great that he did it. Unbelievable really. What a man
George really pulled a Ali on Moorer. Ali let himself get bullied, get pushe to the ropes, let himself take the punishement so he could slowly but surely take away georges weapons, tangle him up and tire him out. George tricked Moorer into thinking he was old, slow, no longer has power so he could stand right infront of him. Wild. Still learning from ali 20 years later .

The crowd was Ali’s greatest weapon. With everyone chanting his name he forgot what everyone thought he was capable of and became what he knew he could be and what that crowd wanted to see. This is truly the greatest upset of all time imo. Foreman could’ve easily been the greatest to ever put on the gloves, yet Ali’s persona and tactics were the perfect storm needed to wear down an all time great for some time until he came back determined and hungry at age 45 to win the heavyweight back. What a great story no one could’ve made up
But listen, Ali took a beating. A hell of a beating with his tactic. Watch the whole fight and you just cant take anything away from what Ali pulled off. And thats why hes considered the greatest... But he was only gonna pull that tactic off once against Foreman lol and thats no mistake

If you watch George swing, you'll notice that he takes huge, swinging arcs coming in from the side. With the mass of his arms and fists, coupled with his size and strength, that was devastating. Never seen another boxer swing like that! Brutal!

That's what I say to the tyson fanboys, what this documentry did not show was how many times George said he wanted to fight tyson and KO him for the title. Foreman has more KOs than Tyson even had total fights !!
@@michaelmohrle1773 Yup! Don King admitted he ducked the Tyson Foreman fight. I'll never forget that Sports Illustrated cover "George Foreman eyes Mike Tyson". Sadly we never got that fight and my money was on Big George for sure.
In my honest opinion, the greatest Heavyweight boxer of all time. This man needs a movie! He needs to be celebrated and appreciated while he is still here, it will be a very long time before we witness a career like his. Also, is his name not the best name for a fighter ever?! George Foreman. Just straight up powerful.
I remember when George was in the midst of his comeback and everyone was saying they admired him for his passion but he was going to be hurt in the end, and very concerned he would. Then he won the HW championship of the world. That's why he's my number one HW champ.
I loved watching all of his comeback fights.what a life this man has lived. He doesn't get as much respect as Ali but I believe he should. He is an American treasure. And I am thankful for the memories
He wasn't the best of all time. The best of all time was the guy who was first to beat him in his prime. He definitely was the most feared and the hardest puncher ever though.
Thank you for adding the grill. When I was 6 years old I didn't even know the man was a champion and a legend, but damn his grill fed us a lot . Thanks for the inspiration George.
Perfect timing and pinpoint accuracy was what old George Foreman brought to the table. The only reason his punches appeared to be slow and weak was because he was totally relaxed while throwing them. He put every oz. of his bodyweight into every punch he threw, so they were heavy as hell.
Only george foreman could make a comeback like he did. When you get old you lose speed that you can never get back. But punching power stays or you can get it all back. Foreman was easily the hardest puncher in boxing history. Holyfield said it himself
Moved me back then and this time again. This is the greatest champion of all time, his mission was not a selfish one. This is a story of spiritual growth.
@MUFC soccer is the most boring sport ever. Respect to him for loving and serving others, even when it cost him to go back to face adversity again. The man truly has my respect as a fighter and will always be considered the KO king to me.
I wish boxing was still like this. The thrill, the sheer ferocity of the fighters like Big George. Joe, you are blessing to us that is confined in our homes right now. Thank you very much for this.

Had a young, angry and hungry Foreman had the fight iq that he had during the comeback hears, he could very well have been the greatest ever. Nevertheless a true champion in boxing and life! ❤️
Around 85-86 I saw a man preaching outside in Houston. Stopped to listen out of respect for the word. Had no idea it was the former baddest man in the world.
I have watched this documentary dozens of times. Whenever I need inspiration; whenever I need a reminder that redemption is possible I watch this. George did the seemingly impossible and so can you.
He would’ve gotten it if he didn’t decide to take a tune up fight against Young, however Ali did agree to the fight, but Foreman was out of shape and lost, Ali never DUCKED Foreman.

It is not just what Foreman did but the way he did it, modestly and methodically working his way up from the bottom again. He took his time, endured all the mockery and condescending remarks until he proved himself right and the others wrong, and all for the young people of his Centre. He is an inspiration for everybody.
To this day, every time I see the Ali Forman fight it blows my mind. I never tire of it. Ali is the perfect example of professional. He could have hit Forman as he fell, he consciously chose not to. Even to that exhaustion and stress, he kept his wits about him.

George is an inspiring man. To come from a place of anger and vengeance, then to rebuild himself as a better man and a better athlete is inspiring to the old, the troubled, anyone who feels they need to change their life. You can always become who you want to be, and George is living proof of this.
Big George is probaly the best, most enjoyable public speaker I can think of. If I lived near Houston I'd go to his Church even if I was the only Caucasian in the building, I like to hear him talk. As a Boxer George Foreman had power second to none. His defense in the 70's was actually better than most people think. Reaching out and blocking 95% of most fighters punches before they could get halfway to Foreman. His defense in his second career was was excelent too, his cross arm defense. He fought many of the best fighters in both eras. Several of his fights are considered among the best fights of all time, Ron Lyle , Ali, Evander Holyfield, Morrison and Morrer. Nobody else can tell you a more interesting story, wether it be about his life before boxing, during his boxing career, fights, training, Ali , Ziare, first retirement , the come back, and the proof of his auritory skill is the numbers of his grill that people have bought. George Foreman is an American Treasure. Thank You George for the highlights and for so many conversations captured on film. Ali was great for taking a stand against racism and a war that shouldn't have ever happened, Ali may have been the greatest. George Foreman is worthy of equal praise in so many ways. God Bless!

I saw many of these fights when they first aired live on TV. I was a kid. Then years later, a man. George was still around. Still fighting. It was crazy. Then he won again. He won America's heart at that point. . He is an institution. An actual legit legend. Thank you for this wonderful documentary. When GF looked up and kneeled, yeah, I got misty. Old softy, I guess
'70's Foreman is one of the scariest boxers of all time. 3 boxers I wouldn't fight for $1M are '50's Liston, '80's Tyson, and '70's Foreman.

Could you please add Rocky Marciano, please please😊

He hits a guy with a punch that looks like its going about 10 miles an hour with a look on his face like hes mentally making his grocery list and his opponent looks like they just got hit by a meteor.
Always liked foreman and Frazier over Ali...never had any time for Ali...foreman/Frazier/Tyson....MY..3 favourite boxers.....now, it's the 2 Ukraine's....lomochenko/usyk..a pair of matrix boxers...
But listen, Ali took a beating. A hell of a beating with his tactic. Watch the whole fight and you just cant take anything away from what Ali pulled off. And thats why hes considered the greatest... But he was only gonna pull that tactic off once against Foreman lol and thats no mistake
The whole crowd shouted "Ali bomba ye" "Ali kill him!" I don't think Ali would had stahd a chance other then in Kinshasa

The use of that "Ali, Bumaye!" Chant during the last fight was chill inducing.

If you watch George swing, you'll notice that he takes huge, swinging arcs coming in from the side. With the mass of his arms and fists, coupled with his size and strength, that was devastating. Never seen another boxer swing like that! Brutal!
"They said the fight was fixed....sure it was, I fixed it with a right hand" George Foreman! I remember the night he fought Moorer. I had a room full of friends laugh at me because I told them he was going to win that fight. I got the last laugh that night!
Amen .....it was fixed by GOD in Christ JESUS whom he serves!
foreman's punches looked like phone poles, the power he took into comeback years was phenomenal.

In my honest opinion, the greatest Heavyweight boxer of all time. This man needs a movie! George Foreman. Just straight up powerful.
I remember when George was in the midst of his comeback and everyone was saying they admired him for his passion but he was going to be hurt in the end, and very concerned he would. Then he won the HW championship of the world. That's why he's my number one HW champ.

Big George Foreman, one of the members of the Golden Age trinity. He truly was one of the greats...
Perfect timing and pinpoint accuracy was what old George Foreman brought to the table. The only reason his punches appeared to be slow and weak was because he was totally relaxed while throwing them. He put every oz. of his bodyweight into every punch he threw, so they were heavy as hell.

God Bless!
