Looks like General Motors may have fired a few designers and Toyota hired them. Putting little tires on lifted trucks. That tire size should be 285/65 or 295/65 standard
I just bought a 2024 limited crew max 4x4 TRD off road tundra with that same lift that came from the factory, here’s the thing it’s not just longer shocks and struts , it’s longer brake lines ,the correct suspension geometry components are added they also beefed up the upper A arm , axles , tie rods , bump stops and more , Toyota knocked this out of the park , this is how a lift should be , not just longer shocks and struts, I love mine rides very good on and off road . The only change I did was tires , I went with 275/60R20 Toyo open country AT3 which is a a true 33inch tall , didn’t want loose the fuel economy going any bigger , you get the best of both worlds .
Most aftermarket lift kits cost 3k without a warranty. If I wanted a lift, which I don’t, I would buy it from Toyota with the factory warranty. Rather buy a Tundra for 70k than a horrible GM, Ford or Ram.
In July I purchased a 2024 3" factory lifted SR5 with the TRD package. I looked under the truck this past weekend and there are no skid plates. The window stickers indicates skid plates. I called the dealer and they indicated that the skid plates wouldn't work with a lifted truck. My question then, why did I pay for them / why are they listed on the window sticker? I fell short changed! I'm happy with the truck, not happy paying for something I didn't get. BTW: I was told that Toyota takes away the fog lights for the lifted truck for safety purposes - had to go out and buy them and put them on myself.
The bulk of the cost on the factory lift, is not the parts or labor, it’s the warrantee they provide, some people beat the shit out of these trucks off road, and want them wxrrenteed when they break , so the dealers just factor it in with install.
So... three things. 1) Is it just me, or are these comically large grills on all the new trucks starting to look really silly? 2) How does a midsize Honda Ridgeline have more payload capacity than a full-size? 3) Holy crap! These prices are getting insane.
If I could get my hands on hilux here in the states I would choose it all day over any other vehicle. Problem is actually finding one in the states that doesn’t need to be shipped over. WD is buying them all up anyways.
@Brian_Eugene_LeeToyota generously included an engine that is bolted to the frame so welding a d ring with a saddle on the short block aint a bad idea definitely safer than “real” tow hooks.
Hey Ben, thanks for the Review but not no but F!&&:::# NO. We appreciate your Review on the 4 inch lift but TOYOTA TOTALLY missed the mark on this money grabbing attempt and on the future performance package forthcoming too. TOYOTA is not hearing what the consumers want too well ate they? OK, the V8 is gone but taking the tow hooks from the trucks too was just plain stupid and the BS excuse of safety issues isn't flying within the industry.. TOYOTA could do so much better than this and it is just freaking disappointing.
Who said anything about Toyota not being fine? And it's my opinion based on the this RUclipsr's comments for our opinions, therefore you are way out of line telling some else to calm down. Way out of line!

From my understanding it’s the only approved lift for the new tundras that will work with safety sense, have t heard of an aftermarket yet that does

Can't remember where I saw it on another RUclips channel, but when you get the Tundra lifted from the factory, you don't get fog lights.
The reason being that the fog lights would be annoyingly bright at that height, and there is not a way to tilt them down in any way.
The fog lights are not offered with the 3” lift as it is not DOT Compliant.

The TRD skid plate DOES fit. I had the TRD lift put on my truck at the dealer after purchase. It's really heavy duty.
The small wheels remind me how goofy a heavy duty Silverado looks. A beefy truck with training wheels.
Hey, Ben good review great truck, however it probably needs a larger wheel setup.
Yes, please! No fog lights standard due to DOT stupidity. I hope they will offer this for the Sequoia and the new Lexus GX550

Yes very expensive!
Catalytic converter thieves are licking their chops waiting to come across one of these.
No one is paying $70k for a truck with 8% interest. It’s not happening!.
Some idiots are. More than you would think. That’s the reason these prices exist
Especially for a half ton
@@Trailbosstexanthese clowns costing the rest of us 🤦♂️
Apparently they are and they’re telling us to stop being poor 😢
Never underestimate the stupidity of people
This is the perfect setup i want!! Thanks

The ford maverick even has more payload
Plus the price of a Ridgeline is around $40k well equipped.
The grills keep getting crazier
Looks good with the long bed
Looks like it is riding on toy tires...need to offer either bigger wheels or larger diameter tires to fill the wheel wells better.
They will sell you the 37’s & wheels when you sign the paperwork. Otherwise a thief will lift the tires
Tundra is a lovly truck how does it compare to a hilux?
If I could get my hands on hilux here in the states I would choose it all day over any other vehicle. Problem is actually finding one in the states that doesn’t need to be shipped over. WD is buying them all up anyways.
Can't seem to get used to that front end
Me neither. They should’ve given it the Sequoia grille, that one’s more tolerable
no fog lights because the DOT says the truck sits too high to have them
in the after market realm

Put the sequoia grill on it
Trucks 30k and the red painted shocks and coils are 40k
Quit paying the prices they want for trucks these days and watch the prices drop.
I just bought a 2024 tundra sr5. I was able to get the dealer to take $3250 off msrp. Plus they gave me a good price on my trade in.
This truck or the Tremor F150?
@$74k I do expect hybrid drive train
nice truck, needs bigger tires.
Love it
10 k option in Canada
Cool 😎
That truck is REALLY configured bad. TRD PRO is cheaper.
It looks good, if it had hydraulics 😅😅😂
WTH is with the tire setup?
It looks like there fog lights
Not an accurate review. The truck has LED rectangular fog lights. You can even see in your video. Also there is an air dam, it deploys automatically.
Why on earth would Toyota have toy wheels on the Tundra? It's not worth it. I'll lift it myself.
This guy needs to do his research before making a video...
Please buy a vehicle from him. So that he can afford to get a haircut and a shave job😂
Silly prices…nope not happening.

Toyota will be fine. settle down

chill pill time ....go sit in the corner and cool off
The ugly front end needs to be “lifted” off of the truck.
Weird stance...
ego,needs, and wants
Sounds like you want a tundra lol.
