A fabulous finish - all four breakaway riders deserved the win today. I'm glad that Philipsen's games didn't work for him this time.
that’s exactly what Asgreen said: they rode like a TTT and all 4 of them deserved it, great spirit !
184.9 K in the break (went as the first rider as soon as the flag dropped), and then win like that, remarkable!
That's the way to do it Asgreen. Another win for Denmark 🇩🇰🇩🇰😁😁
I was actually cheering as he crossed the finish line at the time. That was superb
wow superb these men are from outer space. what a fabulous ride. congrats to asgreen
Great race and a great commentary team!
Second time i have watched it and still thought they would be caught !!
Incredible effort from the gang of four! Never seen a break hold off the peleton sooooo cloooose before.
Yes!!💪 Wolfpack is back. The whole team were working for Asgreen🐺🐺🐺
I put a little coin on Asgreen before the stage. Had a feeling that this could happen and Asgreen would be the man.
I totally confused thecyclingdane today saying he spelled Asgreen wrongly with 2 e's. But he was right. It is Asgreen

Now corrected👍
As a Dane - I’m so glad that Asgreen wins this breakaway….🚴♂️
We are a small country - 6 mio people - and perhaps this is value as a country where bycicles are a priority every day…??
I'm glad for you too...
Because the woke cult has transformed Danish men the former Vikings to docile sissies.
Just look at Sweden...
Epic, this is why I ❤ cycle racing!!
Yep, this is why I 🇩🇰 cycle racing!!
Thanks for not spoiling it, Eurosport, by posting the winner in the title 🙂
Seriously...🙈
What a fantastic game is that !!
What An EPIC !!!!! My word....
Thank God for Kelly's commentary, EXPERT
😊😊😊😊☘️☘️☘️☘️🏁

BTW, never ever underestimate Real Madrid, Tom Brady, Rafa Nadal, Jonas Vingegaard and Victor Kampenaerts (Hour record world champion)
Le Tour des Danois 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰 🥳🥳🥳
Belgium still 1 up
brilliant finish....glad i didnt switch over near the end
28 the. win for Denmark🇩🇰 and still counting🤣🤣👍😜🔝❤️
Asgreen deserved this!
Been a horrible Autumn and Winther
For Asgreen!
He deserved it for sure, but so did any of the other riders in the break i'd say. A good tour for Denmark so far 👍 , few stage wins and the yellow yersey again, very well done., and congratutlations.
BUT i wouldnt put too much emphasis on the fact its the 28th stage win,... that's still an emberassingly low number for cyclingnation 🤘❤️.
Denmark, 6 mio people , 28 wins, Belgium, almost 12mio people, 473 wins....it's all relative 😉
@@CobraChicken101 For Denmark its
A succes, golden age in this sport!
@@CobraChicken101 It's pretty absurd comparing Denmark and Belgium when it comes to roadracing. No matter how many people that lives in the respective country or how many people that commute on bycicles.
It would be like comparing Denmark and Belgium in Handball.
Denmark have many commuters but insanely few members in cycling clubs. And pro cycling culture are not anywhere near as developed as in Belgium.
A bit unfair to compare us with one of the giants in cycling LMAO. Just my humble opinion.
Rob H as mostly knowing how to pronounce names like Asgreen the Danish way. Thank you :) Now only miss that he pronounces Mads P with a "flat a" like the "a" in "flat" :)
I really thought they're going to get caught. That's what can happen when you work together and don't just give up.
If you look closely, the whole Soudal Quick Step team, especially Declerq and Alaphilipe, were doing their best to slow down the chase.
Отрыв красавчики, в конце как командную разделку отработали.
I wonder if people with cycling interest is getting a bit tired of Denmark 👻😊 ..... 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰
Nope, we're not tired of Denmark, we respect all riders and also......we need the competition to keep it interesting 😉 , c u in Glasgow 😂 🤘❤️🇧🇪
@@CobraChicken101 One day we will be as mighty as Belgians. Just you wait!! hahahahah.
@@mammasut8280 these years Denmark has hit a golden generation but statistically it’s unlikely they’ll perform at this rate on longer terms. We’ll have to enjoy it now as they’re here. Mads P said something along those lines today in the post run interview
@@FenceThis Absolutely. And the world champ is right. This golden era will not last forever.
But I do sincerly believe that danish cycling (road) have been taken a notch up on a permanent level. And that this generation will strengthen that tendency in Danish cycling.
But ofc not anywhere near Belgian cycling ofc. :)
In general I like seeing Danish cycling sort of slowly rising up out of "the swamp" more so than the victories.
They did a "3-2-1 go" deal but Asgreen went at 2 😂
Denmark rules
All trying as hard as they can. Just one winner and so many losers.
Denmark again🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰

I keep watching for Cav in the sprints out of habit even though he crashed out a few stages ago.
Hope he don't retire from cycling this year, he's still got at least a couple of TdF's in his legs.
His team bosses have already said they want him back next year; an offer to ride in the world's greatest bike ride is something we ordinary club cyclists can only dream about..:)
But if he wants to retire I'm sure he'll be happy mowing the lawn, helping his wife with shopping at Tesco, and doing the dishes, taking doggie for a walk and putting up with people continually asking why he retired early..;)
is better to dream than do,,, a retired domestic , your body is wrecked and unless you are of rich parents life is not so easy after the circus ends
@@bobhupandown1471 I suppose retired pros can have fun for the remaining 50 years of their lives counting the money they made from their cycling career..:)
@tungstenkid2271 how much do you think that we we made in the 90's ..maybe 20k a year depending on contract
@@bobhupandown1471 Given the brutally hard long stages of the Grand Tours I hope riders nowadays are paid accordingly..:)
PS- I heard all members of a team have always been paid the same, because the overall winner and the stage winner shares his prize money with the whole team, is that right?
@tungstenkid2271 usually is shared amongst the team win bonuses that includes the mechanics and backroom staff
yawn
Victor Campenaerts with a demonic pull after being in the breakaway all day and recovering Eenkhoorn from the peloton. Immense effort, how can you not root for this guy
