i also own himalayan 450 and i am 5.5 and my last vehicle was apache 200 4v but i feel more comfortable on himalayan in traffic. i am living in sakleshpur,Karnataka which is a hilly region and honestly speaking on curve this bike is chumaah. never feel the weight while on move even on 8-10 kmph speed also bike weight is not bothering because of light handle. manuverity of this bike is awsome. only problem which i am facing is while lifting from side stand. i will suggest the short height people who is in hesitation about weight and seat height that if you have experience of riding 200cc category bike you will not feel discomfort on riding this bike. Don't make your decision or opinion about this bike on watching only test ride opinion on RUclips video, go and ride it. This bike needs maturity and this bike will develop the skill within us and last if you have plan to own superbike or big adventure bike in future which i have, then this bike is the first step towards it.
Mere pe classic 350 and MT15 hai to mere liye thik rahegi kya ye bike ?
@@nuclear9977 bhai aap bike ka test ride le kr dekh len pehle. 1-2km ka nahi, demand karein RE walon se ki atleast 4-5km ka city mein ride krne ka. agar wo ready nahi hote hain to simply road pr 1-2 km ka test ride mere according sahi nahi hota wo ready hote hain to thik nahi to aap 15-20 min bike pr kuch chizein try kr skte hain like ki- 1. extreme slow speed (5-8km/hr) pr bike ko chala kr dekhen. 2. bike pr ek baar right and ek baar left se u turn k dekhen. 3. aapke ghaar k pass k road ka , galion ka jais abhi condition ho kya aapko us jagah koi problem aayegi kya? ye check kr lein kyunki open road ya highway pr kisi ko kisi bhi bike pr problem nahi hoti.
bhai har bike k kuch pros and cons hote hi hain, Bike chala lena real biking nahi hota, nayi nayi cheezein sikhna jo humare biking skills ko improve karein is most important.
aap khud chalayein bike and phir decide karein kyunki 3-4 lakh iss bike pr aapke kharch honge mere nahi.
@@nuclear9977It will fit anyone easily. Aapko koyi dikkath nahee hoga. Himalayan lene ke baad muje Mera Duke390 aur Interceptor 650 ride karne ka man nahee kartha. Interceptor thoda heavy aur hard aur choti lagthaa hai. Duke 390 bahuth vibrating aur choti lag rahaa hai.
Can you make a video for 5'5 height guy not having issues with Himalayan 450 ? Kya pata iss video se hi tumhara youtube journey start ho jaye ?
@@MCAAlexKumar Thank you for your suggestion but i am working in railway and no time for making youtube video. whatever time i get after duty i enjoy riding. fact is that if i start recording video while riding then i can't enjoy my ride.
Thanks for the criticism. These points should be highlighted to the RE Engineering team. Even WAY2SPEED or OUTEX are not the permanent solution. I am also waiting for cross spoke wheels. I don't know when they are going to launch it.
All valid points, no nonsense review 🙂. +1 Sub
1. I had the chance to ride this for about 800kms. The pull to the right I experienced on a rental bike that had run 7K kms.
2. The side stand is an issue. But one can use the hip to push against the bike as that makes it easier to get it off stand, instead of using just pushing the bike using handle bar / grab rail.
3. It is a vibey engine. 90-110, I felt all vibes on footpegs and handlebar. But at 80-90 it is quite smooth that allows an all day cruise. The seat height with taller setting was actually a bit more comfortable than the lowered seat height.
4. Mirrors are adequate. If more real estate needs to be seen then upgrade to double take mirrors. But usually the stock mirros do the job as you are effortlessly overtaking most vehicles anyway 🙂
That sound is basically the Fuel Pump - if you keep your ears on the fuel cap after starting the bike you ll hear it come from the pump below the tank.
Yes. Its fuel pump sound
Thank you for being honest about the cons regarding the Himalayan 450 .
I own Triumph Bonneville T120 and Its an amazin bike. RE bikes never gave me any confidence
Cone set issue ? This one has it or not
I have Royal Enfield GT535, should I go for this one plz reply
Yeah u can it's good bike. Take test ride and feel for yourself
Sir do you think I would face the more "personal" issues even when I am 190 cm (6'2.5 ish height)?
Myself being 6'2 It was the most comfortable bike in its segment nor i felt that the bike was too small for my height. Give it a try I'm sure u won't regret it
Bro with your ht I feel u would enjoy this bike. Still have a test ride and feel for yourself.
Scrambler 400x or Himalayan 450 which should I buy for mostly long tour and city ride
In my opinion,
Long tour - Himalayan is more comfortable
City - Scrambler is more comfortable due to better low end torque and engine tractability
You can manage with both bikes just depends on the priority. I own a Himalayan and able to manage it in both city and highways. Just in city I faced low end torque like when taking it from a traffic signal the bike sometimes stalls but that will go away once you get used to the bike.
I had also test ridden Scrambler so can say it was more comfortable in city if seat height is not an issue.
Both are good. Wait for detailed comparison video
Himalayan not good.its have lots of complaint.
@@r.k.sharma7169 tell me a bike which doesn’t have problems? Picking problems then even Honda CB350s have problems. Sadly that is the truth.
Hello Bhai , How are you, Maine 2 din pahle bike li thi uske bhi beep ki aawaz aati hai , Maine kuch RUclips PE video check Kiya the suggest that comes due to low fuel, if you refill again it will gone . I am not sure about this kyuki abhi fuel refill nhi karwaya hai .
the wireless mic you are using and the link you have given, it says for Android/type C devices only - can it be used on iphone 15?
Yeah m using it with iPhone 15pro
@@travelbite do you use Lightning to USBC adapter? or it links via bluetooth?
@Motoccino C type on mic receiver & C type on IPhone 15 pro so no adapter required. If u want with lightning connector u can get that also.
Sir can you please compare the Scrambler 400 with Himalayan 450 as you own both of them you could give better idea on who should go for which bike.
Bro bike me fuel pump ki avaj a rahi hai.... Same issue on meteor 350/650 too
Hello Sir, Brilliant review, I also purchased a new Himalayan and agree to all your issues. Vibrations are there, but I guess I just need to get used to it. My Himalayan has 2 major issues that I just cannot ignore. First is the Tappet noise, which is very loud in my bike, and the service centre is not helping, saying that it is normal. 2nd issue is of alignment, the bike tends to move to the right when I drive at higher speeds and leave the handlebar. Can you tell me what to do to get this corrected. Royal Enfield support is not helpful.
Buddy I need to visit service centre for going right thing. Will update u
411:: hahah you also😅😅
Can you please provide a link to that top box?
The issue with weird noise: It's coming from fuel injection motor, sometimes even service centre people don't know about this root cause tell them to check the fuel injection motor, it'll be fixed, happy touring 🧿🌻
Hi the tilting sound is from catalic convertor and fuel injector is of power bikes so the fuel injector works accordingly and you feel fuel injector sound
Thanks Manish for detailed info.. .can you tell how is Honda CB350 engine at 90-100 speed as compared to this RE engine at that speed . Which will be more smooth and comfortable at that speed range
cb350 is butter smooth even at 140kmhr. the best ever engine made in 350cc segment
Do you have any plan for ladakh in coming months bro. I want to join from Punjab.
Brother please tell me should i go for meteor 350 or speed 400
Speed 400
Go for honda bikes
It sounds like you've had a different experience with vibrations compared to what I experienced in my Himalayan 450 which i bought some 15 days ago. Probably mine is the second batch manufactured by RE. In my own experience with my Himalayan after riding it about 2000 kms, I've found it to have significantly fewer vibrations compared to other bikes like the Duke 390. The comfort it provides during rides, especially on diverse terrains, is commendable. However, I do see a con being its headlight's performance, as I've found it lacking in illumination and throw, which can be problematic during night rides as i made out during my night trip from Mangalore to Bangalore. Since i already own an Interceptir 650, it does not feel heavy for me. Its slanted posture also is not a concern for me as I can easily lift it after sitting on it. But it may be troublesome for shorter riders as you suggested. Hope you will ride a newer Himalayan and review to find out if there is any improvement than your own bike. Will be looking forward for your review as such if you are to make one
I have metered 2890kms in RE Himalayan 452 till date. I have clocked 165kmph and cruised at 140kmph for ~70km.
Having said that, I have upgraded from 125cc bike. I agree with almost all of your points Manish bhai. But certainly nothing is a deal breaker for me. Sure the tube tyre thingy is an issue but its not a deal breaker. Dealing with all the issues are also the part and parcel of being a biker. Trying to be a biker and ranting everytime about everything is sure a habit for us Indians. I've installed handlebar raisers and that side mirror issue is totally gone.
Anyways big fan Manish Bhai....
From a rider to a rider....
Thanks buddy for such nice words. Yeah it’s great bike overall. Happy riding.
Tks, very upright and honest and review. I cancelled my Himalayan booking, most of these points are deal breakers for me. Hope they take this feedback and fix these issues. What bugs me the most is how they provide substandard parts and expect you to upgrade to better made seats, mirrors, sump guard etc and not to mention tubeless wheels (they brought alloy wheels for twins after 4 years!) chillar/chindi mentality this company has😖😖
Sir i common issue i saw onyoutube..is that about about abnormal noise from engine..after 1500 2000 km..do u feel any abnormal noise in that bike or anymajor engine issue?
yea bro my 450 is in showroom workshop right now due to that engine noise😢

What about right side pulling issue and cone set issue?
All Royal Enfields have cone set problems
Frankly speaking I never admire royal Enfield bikes because their bikes always give feel that they are manufactured by novice company , RE bikes are prone to vibration , roughness in engine and mechanical failures, , though they improved alot from yester years
Xpulse rally edtion also one gets the 3 guards you mentioned.
Right side pulling Problem , and Complain to RE in my New Himalayan 450(January-24 delivery)
Thank you for being honest.🤙
I am facing all the issues mentioned.. the bike runs towards the right too...
I still remember how influencers used to say in the month on oct-nov that it is the first RE to have Zero or negligible vibrations. Even I was stunted to hear that because being a RE with single cylinders "zero vibes" was more like a gimmick
It's a single cylinder which produce 40nm of torque ever in 450 cc bruh in indain made product.. Even i own new himalayan 450 I fell buzz at above 5k rpm not a vibration it doesn't bother mee. I am came from honda bike RE feel vibi and buzz for mee.. And mostly I loving the machine
there were quite a lot of vibes in my test ride on the handlebar
@@Vikrum_ vibe there bruh because torque bike ever made in indian market in single cylinder .. Vibe is usually there for it
I can understand you spent 3.5 lk on that machine so u will feel less vibrations 😂@@arunachalamkrishnamoorthy8675
Cause people will be hated if they say bad about RE since RE has a Cult following in India.
Hi Manish bhai 🙋♂️ 🎉🎉🎉very honestly review....Maja. aaya🎉🎉🎉🎉
I have started weight lifting after buying this bike😅.. now i find it easy to handle
😂
That is not buzzer noise that is radiators sound. Fan will spin that time you will hear.
Can cb350 do umlingla?
Yes
everyone can agree that new himalayan is not as big a hit as the original was, mixed opinions overall, I hope it improves with time
I am also facing the sound problem on my hunter
KUCH POINT BURE HAI KUCH ACHHE HAI BUT ITS OK NO PROBLEM 😅 THODA BOHOT CHALTA REHTA HAI HAR BIKE KI KAHANI HAI YEH
Himalayan ka engine aur silencer do no jagah se bajti hai 😅
Scrambler 400x sounds only from silencer 😊
The refined engineering 🎉
Really informative
Most trusted review ❤❤
Traction control should be turned off during offroading even if your bike does support that otherwise your bike will shut down in every few steps. Not sure why you were missing this feature during offroading.
May be you have removed the saree guard and weight from left side decreased, so it is moving towards right
Don't mide sir , Jo sound aa raha he oh to fuel pump ka...pump duba raha to Nehi hoga
Even i was confused with that noise, this noise is of the fuel pump which is normal , as told to me by RE executives.
Every harsh noise is 'normal' according to RE😀
Very Informative Video 👌👍💯✅
Woh aawaz ex ki yaad dilati hai.. aata hai jati hai
Beautiful review as always
Nice video❤
Handle ke nutbolts on going loose ho gaya tha meri 450 ka bt service center se banda aya aur bike leke gaya aur new installed kar ke laya
Bhai ko ye rate main traction control chahiye
In India, there is no bike that has tubeless spoked rims, so that is more of a compliance issue.
Great Video, but, Bhai tum issues doondhte raho, log to Jibhi goom aaye
😂
According to me the main problem is that the company is charging you 3.60 lakh rupees and not providing tubeless tyres. On the contrary, the company is offering tubeless tires for the same bike outside India. When the condition of roads in India is worse than outside the country, the company should have introduced tubeless tires in India first while introducing bikes in India. The company is cheating people by providing tube tires. As per rules in foreign countries the company has to provide tubeless tires but not in India because people are being held hostage here. We have a "chalta hai" mentality.
BIS council has not given them certification to sell those tubeless spoke rims. Those rims are heavy patented hence they are imported to India. And to sell them RE need approval from BIS.
And you know what speed the Indian legal system works 🤷♂️
it's not 8 issues... there will be Himalaya of 450 issues look carefully 😅
❤
bhai horns ke upgrade ka video banao
More Himalayan issue will come wait 452 problems are coming😂😂
i cancelled my booking on himalayan 450 and booked honda
nx500
like to hear that adv390 has more vibration than himalayan what a joke neways love your own bike but dont compare.
The old KTM 373 cc engine is quite vibey compared to RE's J-series 350 and 411 engines. This new 450 engine is a different matter. No other single cylinder engine has a stroke this long with a compression ratio of more than 11:1. Will have to do a back to back ride with my 390 Duke to compare.
13:38 fuel pump ki aawaz h 😅
Is ko uthane ka solution desi ghee khake hai bhai
You talk about one point too much. Try not to stretch one point for too long is it disengages the audience!

@@RidesBySky same maine bhi yahi kiya, I am 5'10 it didnt feel that heavy as people are saying
Same. I test rode it and didn't feel as top heavy neither when taking from stand not in stop go traffic. I felt all the videos misleading now
@@the_wind_walker Low end torque was missing, as an RE low end torque is must, no grunt in second gear
@@the_wind_walker they are not 100% misleading. I have purchased this bike and after full tank I had to sit on it to manoeuvre because being on side there was a fear for falling on other side due to weight. Second putting it on center stand is a task which will get some days to get used to. But being with the bike for 10-15 days i am more confident to handle it. Just you need some time.

You are getting too emotional about the Himalayan 450. It is a pretty good bike. More off-road focused than the whole 390 Adventure range which being the same cost as the 390 Adventure X.
