Bought a '21 Rubicon a year ago that has the electronic disconnect and Teraflex Quick Disconnects. Didn't understand why they were installed. This was a great demo and explanation of why. Thanks for the content!

I like how you've put a couple of Top Gun clips in the video. 😂

What's the best way to keep the sway bar from drooping down while disconnected?

@SudburyDualSport if you are talking about our sway bar disconnects, we have seen customers use a velcro strap to keep it out of the way. One customer bought an extra set of our disconnect pins and mounted them to his frame so his sway bar links would be "mounted" out of the way. In most cases, if you push the sway bar up and out of the way the sway bar bushings are stiff enough to hold it in place.
If you are talking about the OEM sway bar disconnect on Rubicon models, we recommend mechanically disconnecting the sway bar links from the axle so that the sway bar does not invert like what was shown in the video. The OEM sway bar disconnect is great for a stock or a low lift height but as soon as you add long travel suspension it becomes easy to invert the sway bar while articulating off road.

Why up the bolt size to a half inch on the top? Can I get pins that will keep it stock?? Making holes bigger is never fun in the suspension.

@stevenesquibel4120 The amount of drilling is very minimal. The original hole is made for an M12 bolt (.472"). We are drilling it to 1/2" (.500"). It is only an increase of 0.0275", roughly the thickness of 7 sheets of paper. We have encountered original bolt holes meant for M12 bolts that could fit a 1/2" bolt with no drilling. The reason we went with the 1/2" bolt is because we wanted a fine thread bolt in a very common size, so we chose a 1/2-20 bolt in grade 8. Let us know if you have any questions, we'd be happy to answer them.

Just throw the sway bar in the trash where it belongs! haha

Ha ha, we agree with you to an extent. Off Road, discoed it the way for sure. But we want our DD stable on the highway too, so with these quick disconnects you can have the best of both worlds!
