As a designer, you have an elite skill that pushes you beyond someone who could have even the best better map and concept art. It is evident that you have the ability to fully flourish out exactly what your mind wants or to what the engine is capable of. Amazing work.
This is amazing! This is like the new sims to me. I'm gonna spend a lot of time on it in a few years once I get a new laptop and just start uploading environmental art!
If history had taught me anything it's that I don't have the patience to learn how to be good at something like UE, but its always fun watching those who have the skill do something amazing.
You changed the direction of the floor material and I typed this whole comment about it looks better to run it parallel to the longest wall... Then the final scene shows it changed! Nice job on everything!
I'm a coder but when I see this I wish I would be a level designer. Doing this is just impossible for me to do, even if I would try for years. Great work.
This is why I adore Unreal Engine 4! Whether you're just blocking out a level or designing a landscape, it's super easy to get going and have something impressive to show in a matter of hours/days; even as a beginner!
Wow... I'm blown away, beautiful scene and impressive skills. I have to thank you, I'll be using some assets from the project on a music video rendered in UE4 :)
Me encaaaaaantaa!!!!!!
Beautiful scene, what technique are you using to paint details on textures at 6:45 and later to paint roughness on the rocks ? You should make tutorials !
It's called vertex painting. basically there are multiple textures inside the master material which can be revealed by painting the vertices of the model inside the engine. think of it as a black and white mask although there are more than two layers possible.
Step 1: Have good asset packs that fit well with what you're trying to do. Without that, this would be soooooo much harder do put together this quickly.
This is absolutely amazing. Exquisite attention to detail. Love your artistry. Question: How long did this 3D model (speed thru) take to actually build? And, where do you draw your architectural design inspirations from?
@@QuadArt3D Thanks for the response. 3 days? Wow! That's amazing! Time well spent in my book. Will you do specifically customized environment designs? If so... what is the rate for the exclusive rights to your designs? As well as the best way to reach/communicate with you directly?
Awesome man, this just feels like playing The Sims, holy shit, you are being so generous to share it for free, got to pick up Unreal soon. By the way, how did you create the assets and the textures? Cuz I'm only familiar with Maya and Substance
It is not hard if you spend enough time study it, I have been using Unreal from the release of UDK(Unreal Dev Kit), 6 years I think. Thanks for the comment
Nice ^^ idk if I'm able to do something like that in 3 days. My last level design was based on donkey kong 64 and took me around 20 hours to achieve, but it's based on something so I guess that's not speed enough and there is not that much details. I hope to get the level to become a level designer in a company one day. You can see what I've done on the last video of my youtube channel.
Awesome! How long did it take you without the speed-up? It's really amazing when looking at it just transforming like that over the course of 15 minutes.

Quad Art thats a shame I really wanted to use that project. It looks very beautiful by the way.Good work.I love your music choice for this video as well.
Yes, wonderful tool, also a small trick, type r.screenpercentage 200 before capture, and it will force the engine to render in 4k, but recording will be in 1080p, noticeable quality boost compare to render in native 1080p
Brilliant stuff! Just wonderful. I'm just learning and I have a question: Is the 'jitter' during the camera movement because of the frame rate used to record, or something else? And thank you so much for this tutorial!
How did you give high quality lighting inside while keeping the rendering outside looking great? I always try doing that but the outside is always way too bright to make the interior lighting look good.
Its because of post process interior volume, it has different exposure value that make the interior look correct. Download the project to take a closer look, its free:)

1050 ti with i7, also 32 ram
great work, but its not correct to show time spend to only placing finished assets. how many time did you spend for modelling, making materials etc?
