- Speed Level Design - Winter Camp - Unreal Engine 4
Small medieval hivernal scene I created with assets I gathered accross the time. It has been like a challenge to myself to make something decent through unreal engine 4.
Time spent : ~3 hours + 2 hours on post process
I did not create most of the assets present in this scene.

Music is in the description. Glad you like it.
are we able to play on the map we created ?
Hi Alpha,
Please help me understand how you made the materail the way you did. I don't understand how you got it to know when you sculpt it please...
can u share your post process settings? It's great
"Time spent : ~3 hours + 2 hours on post process"
Amazing!
thanks mate
I love how you used Ótroðinn by Adrian. You sir, have great taste. Hats off to you.
When "speed level art" is better than literally any level I've ever made:
•-•
Good job tho seriously
Thanks!
Fantastic att.
SUPER
Nice job. If only I could actually start something in UE4
Its not bad. Although I would have added and toyed with the atmospheric and height fogs so the mountains look a little more blended into the scene. They kind of stick out and mess with your eyes some.
EDIT: Saw the Post-processing image. Good Job!
Yep! Thanks for your advice, always welcome. Still a lot of misunderstanding tho :-)
That looks awesome!
Awesome!!
Very nice man, keep it up!
das ist alpha!
amazing
awesome!
Excellent!
Merci!
Tool.
Awesome.
Heyyyy sweet i found a new channel
That does speed level designs
This is Skyrim ! : )
Looks Great! The snowy rocks under the water are strange though.
Lookin guud
Music like!
I'm curious does unreal add the nav mesh to the polygons as you create them or will you have to go in and add a nave mesh so your characters can walk around? Awesome video btw
Ain't there many models which do not work together? I mean graphic wise? Doesn't it take a while to find all models/objects to get a decent project going?
De 700 kr It does.
This is very nice! I got a quick question about the Landscape Material you used. I'm just getting ready to start making my own environments as I want to start out as a Level Designer in the industry. I intend to make Snow, Forest, and Mountain scenes, all based on medieval sort-of settings as I have the Infinity Blade assets pack. What material do you use for your landscape? It started out as Rock on the bottom but as you modified the landscape it turned to snow. Sorry if this is a newbie question, again, I'm just getting started with building environments in UE4 and I want to learn how to do environments like this.
The landscape material I used is inside the SpeedTree snow pack.
The rock materials are provided by the Infinity blade assets.
All of these are in the description tho.
damnit looks so nice, i play with this engine every now and then but cant figure it out :(
Just keep with it and watch plenty of tutorials, you'll get the hang of it man🤜🤛
Your amazing
Nice :D
Man, this really makes me want to start screwing around in unreal again. Too bad I don't really have a beefy enough computer to do it efficiently (baking an such), and I lack money for quality assets and lack the skill needed to do it with free assets.
Jeffrey Samuels keep going man, you can do it!
Золотые руки
Amazing. I wish I could create something like this.
You definitely will!
Gotta start on Bannerlord once it comes out haha!
Great job man!
Thanks!
I know nothing about modern game development. That being said, I think the amount of textures and object that are lying behind the eyesight probably slows the rendering quite down.
bravo
need some materials blending
the scene looks very sharp
Can you make a video how to use that snow thing? Im downloaded but i dont know how to import. Please help me!
Did you make all the assets like trees and crates yourself or did you get someone else to make them?
I ask because I want to be a 1 man game maker.
Look at the description for the assets. And yeah build your own will take more time but the final goal is one day to create a complete environment :-)
Alphα well your work is wicked inspiring to watch. I hope to one day be able to do this stuff as fast as you.
Everyone can! Glad you like it but I need to be faster than this too ;-) Good luck with your projects bro
Please Read this !
I wanna learn this and Next Year im gonna Study Game Design. So my question is , are Gaming Companys Working like this Too? Are they creating a Level like you? Or how does it Work? Thanks
i never understood why flakes leave a mark on moving on ue4
how ican download this snow material pleas
Hi,
This is unbelievable..
Have a n00bish question for you. I'm a short-filmmaker from India and Want to make a 2 to 3 min Pre Viz action scene for a webseries I'm pitching to a client.
If I want to make something like this in UE4 and add a few pawns doing co-ordinated strikes with such a backdrop, how hard do you think that would be, is it possible.. Also could you make something like this with some "Indian Assets" around, like an Indian Village set in the foothills of Himalayas etc.
Which assets you used? Awesome work
Most of the assets are linked in the description :)
Thanks!
Dude, how did you create that effect, texture based on height, can you share material settings screenshots?
Landscape material "height blend". When setting up the blend modes for your landscape layers, set snow to height blend instead of the default weight blend.
how did you add snow on the trees
Did you create the models/assets yourself?
=> Description
In real time how long did it take you to make this masterpiece and how can I get started??
Some weeks to handle ue4, not full time. I spent a lot in searching good assets or buying them with promotions. I tested the default ue4 maps demos and I get started with the documentation.
how many hours do you do this
Jolie! tu a moyen de te faire plus plaisir qu'avec l'éditeur M&B non ^^?
Yep!
Can you tell me where you got these additions from snow and trees everything
Would someone who knows how to do this without actually creating any of the assets or artwork get hired as environment artist or be considered?
Is this environment art or concept art?
3D Environment
@@StephaneCharre What are the differences between them?
What kind of hardware is required?
i will say, minimum a gtx 750ti, but for good performance i will say a gtx 1050ti. Its not that hard
Which software you used for made this art.
Unreal Engine 4
It's used to develop video games.
@@yourzombiemop8259 I seen live walleper for PC in steam . To make this wallpaper they also used this software ?
@@erdoganleaderofoic6325 I don't know. I wouldn't be able to say, I don't know what live wallpaper on Steam you're talking about. If you're really curious, try to find a way to get in touch with the developers of whatever wallpaper you're talking about.
@@yourzombiemop8259 ruclips.net/video/wmglX7IS0pU/видео.html
@@erdoganleaderofoic6325 I seriously doubt Unreal Engine had been or could be used for making these kinds of wallpapers. I suggest you do some research on Google into Wallpaper Engine. Unreal Engine is used for making games and 3D levels for games. It is not used to create renders for interactive wallpapers.
how many hours do you do this please
read the description ;-)
Hi can you share your system specs. Thank you
Added in description.
Alguém brasileiro? Kkk
