My mother in law works as HR for a trucking company, she had to attend a deposition for unlawful firing because he tipped his truck, causing over $100,000.00 in damage and lost product, and was swiftly fired for. They then had to put "don't flip your trucks" in the employee manual because of this guy...🤦🤦🤦

That happened to a friend on mine, he was on the Transcanada Highway going from Toronto to Edmonton and a Moose ran out in front of him.
He clipped the Moose with the front passenger corner of the truck and that destroyed the front bumper, wheel well and suspension system causing the truck to flip.
That has been the only accident he's ever had in 40 years of driving...
So no, not 99% he was an unsafe driver, shit can happen even to perfectly safe drivers...
Also, flaws in steer tires that cause them to blow at highway speeds easily can and do flip trucks and many tire flaws can't be seen with the naked eye...I had a steer tire blow on me once, fortunately I was on city streets doing 40 Kph (25 Mph) and was able to stop without crashing...the tire was 2 weeks old and had about 17,000 Miles on it, it had a slipped belt in it due to a manufacturing mistake that Quality Control missed and on the outside, looked perfect...

@@HappilyHomicidalHooligan So _yes_ , 99% he was a terrible driver, your friend being the ~1%, because the comment states they had to put _don't flip your truck_ in the damn employee agreement, not "excepting emergency situations you cannot avoid" because I'm sure that would have been defensible and their friends story wouldn't have been a story to tell.

We told him it sounds like a couple of Saturdays work. He said, "Nope, I'm not coming in. I'll call the temp agency and get a "Renta Drunk"".

My father needed one after surgery on his colon to remove cancer, and even when it was taken off to be emptied/replaced (don't know all of the details since I didn't like to be in the area when that kind of thing was happening) it smelled *bad*. Not horrifically awful, but it was like a bad toilet trip times 3, so just the thought of a bag leaking with full knowledge of the person wearing it makes me shudder. That's supremely unsanitary and I'm gonna hazard a guess that guy would have gotten infections from the leaking contents of said bag.

I worked for a company and I was pregnant in the first trimester and didn’t want to announce yet but instead of morning sickness I had all day sickness. One of my supervisors figured it out because she was in the bathroom when I literally ran in to throw up. Everyone was in a meeting with a VP and I knew I was going to throw up, I kept saying that I needed to go the bathroom and the supervisor said I should be allowed to go. He got pissy and said no I really tried everyone said I just kept getting greener and greener. I was also standing right next to him. I ended up throwing up on his very expensive Italian shoes for about a minute and nearly passing out. That was a spectacular end to a meeting that was only a quarter done.

Not HR, but when my contract was ending at the Navy Base, (contractor was not resigned) I was asked to train a guy from a different part of the base to do my job. Now, most of the time you'd hear about the person losing their job clocking out and quiet quitting? I just wasn't built that way, my ADHD ass had to be doing something, so it was actually hard for me to hand work off to him. The thing was, this asshole wouldn't do it.
He was an older guy who had been a government employee for years and had no fear of losing his job. So, he just... _didn't work_. i had never run into a quietly belligerent person in my 22 years, so I was just like :Pikachu face:. He didn't say anything, he just silently allowed me to explain my job, and when I sent him off to do it himself, he just didn't. Then my contact would come in for the finished work... and it wasn't done. I eventually realized that he was spending all of his time on chat forums (this was before Facebook), and his computer faced the supervisor's office.
Keep in mind this was a job involving military personnel. We're talking about sailors being able to take leave and get to their next duty station and getting their pay. Stuff that had to be done in a timely manner. This guy did not give a _shit_! He was being paid to be there, and as far as he was concerned that was all he was going to do *be there*.
