- Three bizarre Dragon Ball What if tales NOW with added epilogues to finish their adventures. These three April Fool stories will now get their time to shine one last time!
The plot follows the adventures of Vegeta, Frieza, Goku, Krillin, Oolong, and Bardock, as they face multiple threats and navigate themes of power, evolution, and family. The story includes flashbacks, visions, and informal dialogue, as well as elements of humor and parody. Oolong acquires a business suit and competes in the World Martial Arts Tournament, while Bardock receives powers from Beerus and decides to stay with the Saiyans to help them evolve. While I am still disappointed that Oolong’s story won’t continue and that his epilogue didn’t have him and Berrus interacting in any way, I think the epilogue he got fitted him. Also, him having history with Dabura; I did not see that coming, so that was a pleasant surprise. Cui’s epilogue was nice too, him and Vegeta finally burying the hatchet was nice. And while I felt the Bardock one didn’t really need an epilogue, what he got was okay. All and all, these were great, and I’m especially pleased that Oolong got a good conclusion here.
Me too I was hoping to see more of oolong
I was really hoping for that story. I love it when the limelight’s framed on people other than the saiyans. Seeing the legendary super swine was great, it even gave hope that the other Z-Fighters would step it up to not be outdone
The only thing that didn't make sense to me in the Bardock's ending was the fact that Frieza didn't bother to train after what Bardock did to him, he was simply there waiting for his imminent death.
@@rafaelferreira7408 Frieza had never trained before, I'm not really even sure he would have gotten the thought before fighting Goku. He probably just thought he was strong due to genetics and nothing more.
The fact that Cui could make it work with Launch, but Tien couldn't.

Qui's story I felt was wrapped up with a nice bow.
Though... I'm so sad about Oolong's sorry. I was getting so invested with his journey. I hope one day you'll return to this idea Masako.

Ah so good but I feel like the Oolong story should’ve had a couple more parts. 🎉
The Cui's Epilogue was good but felt short and rushed but it was great to get a end to a nice April what if. To bad that Cui didn't get a call from Bulma asking him to give a hand with Frieza when he came back to Earth.
Very nice epilogues, Masako! While I do wish Cui could've gotten more parts, I'm glad 'What If Goku had a Sister' got continued!
Congratulations Masako all the April what ifs were excellent but I'm still glad we get to continue Jocha Story but get Epilogues for Cui Oolong and Bardock
I absolutely LOVE the style of the epilogues! The editing and overall vibe feel pretty immersive, I hope more what ifs look like this in the future!
I am still bummed that Cui's story got cut short. I missed the vote. I would've liked to have seen another part or 2 with Cui's family and Launch.
I still think Future Cui's story is a missed opportunity. Cui losing the new life he had grown to love and starts doing everything he can to protect and provide for others as fellow survivors would be a complete role reversal from his planet conquering days and an interesting character study.
It would've been really wholesome with Future Trunks saving him and giving him hope that the life he once built up, could be rebuilt one day after the Androids were taken care of. That would be the opposite of what Vegeta ever gave Cui. Then Cui could even tell him a story or 2 about Vegeta since Trunks can't get too much info from Bulma and Gohan. It could give him a greater perspective and could've influenced how he viewed Vegeta from the get go. Maybe the events of the Cell Saga could've changed if both Vegeta and Trunks managed to have gotten on the same page causing a ripple effect.
And to top it off, Super Cui's greed could have him attempt to expand Lucky Foods to the Galactic Market with the aid of Monaka's delivery service through Bulma. But this causes him to accidentally ending up babysitting Goten and Trunks during the whole Copy Vegeta incident would be funny, especially when Goku arrives since they never had the pleasure of meeting before then. But this would definitely give him some PTSD and make him back down from this new enterprising opportunity. Also, Vegeta entrusting Cui to his son or vice versa would be the only way he would show he cares in some capacity.
If there is a Future Cui in a Mirai timeline of this what-if he would probably got to his spaceship and flee Earth when things started to go south with the androids.

That could go down several routes
1) Maybe he could've attempted to take his closest friends with him to safety off world. They later convince him if he has any ideas of how they could help their home. Cui reluctantly confesses he learned the Namekians found a new world during a Lucky Foods delivery at Bulma's and they could use Dragon Balls to repair the world. They proceed for a galactic treasure hunt. Might end up on Granolah's planet by mistake.
2) He could've contacted the Galactic Patrol for help, and they get Merus' to show up and take care of the androids early. Maybe Gohan gets recruited
3) Maybe the Androids steal his ride, forcing him to be their space chauffeur
4) My original idea where Cui evolves into an independent force for good and causes a ripple effect in the present. The androids don't bother him for a few years so he doesn't do anything until they eventually do and destroy his escape route, but Future Trunks gets him to safety.
Bardock's new place in Saiyan society feels closer to Kami's position on Earth. That is actually pretty fitting of the Saiyan God though I was curious of what would become of his sons and prince Vegeta in this timeline.

Oolong's story sounds super interesting in concept. Imagine if you made him a Time Patroller who are constantly dealing with Demons?
I mean Heroes might be the biggest convoluted mess in the franchise, but maybe that is where Oolong would thrive. I mean, he already appears in the Prison Planet arc after all.
Glad Jocha is coming, can't wait to see her in action and connecting with her brother

I have an idea for next year's What If story: What if Arale joined the Z Fighters? I smile whenever I imagine her beating the various vile villains, especially clowning on Zamasu. He would hate her for that!
I love these epilogues. Cui was heartwarming having a new, relaxing life on earth FAR away from Freeza. Sad Oolong’s was cut short but Love that he’s past life was connected with Dabura who I thought was very underrated in the show. I wasn’t too sure how legendary Bardock was going to end but I was very surprised that he and the other Saiyans defeated King Cold and Freeza. Legendary Bardock’s ending actually brings a whole new what if idea now that Freeza is gone what happens to the other saiyans like Broly, Vegeta, Goku, Nappa, Turles and Raditz now that Planet Vegeta wasn’t destroyed and what would happen to Earth without Goku landing there or I guess now just Kakarot?

You know what, I liked Cui's ending best in this instance. Gave him a nice bow to tie things up on.
In the end, I'm satisfied with these epilogues. There wasn't much more you could do with the Cui and Bardock stories long term anyway.
Though Oolong had so much potential, I really wanted to see what strange version of JTTW happened in the Dragon Ball universe. I like the end message though, being happy with what you got and just working to be better than you were yesterday

Well, I guess you can say these what-ifs were quite LEGENDARY.
You truly spoiled us with these April fools what if's i especially liked Cui's slice of life and how you turned Oolong into a respectable character and i am always grateful for seeing the saiyans survive and we get to see Jocha return in June!
Glad to be getting more of Goku's sister (Honestly though, as if the other stories stood a chance. Being written in such a way that it didn't feel like it was finished where as the Oolong and Bardock stories were written like one offs with neat little Fins at the end of the second parts.) I am sad however about Cui, I really like the idea of The Marvelous Misadventures of Cui. It would be nice to have more lighthearted content from you. Slice of life stuff in the Dragon world just seems like a really fun idea.
I'm so happy we got these. Cui and Vegeta finally making peace was a nice thing to see.
Seeing these epilogues I think I am extra glad Bardock didn't win. I thunk Cui and Oolong had the most potential but a summerised finale worked out really well for these three. Looking forward to Jocha.

That was a nice conclusion to Cui's story, though it would've been interesting to see how he'd react to Frieza's resurrection(s).

Makes me wonder, even if Oolong wasn't the winner, could be the spark of a "What if DB was Journey to the West". Like, instead of Vegeta and Saiyans, the core group was Goku, Yamcha (Sandy), Oolong (Pigsy), and Krillin/Bulma (Tripitaka)

I would have loved to see a complete cui what if, it would have been a fun slice of life, but the one with goku sister has more potential for story telling

My Personal Favorite out of the 4 was In fact Cui’s, Idk Masokox just ram along on about just slice of life stuff with Cui was just pleasant to hear. But of course What if Goku had a sister was bound to win, so yeah a little sad but not displeased by the outcome.

if you do continue Oolong's story at some point in the future, can I ask that you start it earlier than the android arc? Oolong is one of the original original characters, introduced before even Krillin and the android arc is one of the last arcs in Z. starting a little earlier would leave so many more stories to tell and og dragonball is more in the mystical side anyway.

The Bardock god and then Piccolo day has me thinking, Goku never comes to Earth, Raditz never comes to Earth. Which means King Piccolo will have a long rein there, would that be a freedom fighter Dr.Gero trying to overthrow the tyranny of King Piccolo? What would those Androids be like without all the fantastic space powers that came to earth, and how would Babadi deal with waking up Buu with the MASSIVELY reduced power of Earth. Food for thought. Do we have a full what if there were no Saiyans on Earth what if? I might be forgetting if we do.

Like I get why people want the sister but god has it been done to death already.
I mean Cui one benefited from being a mini series, SSG Bardock while could use one or two more parts I personally think it already did pretty much almost everything with the concept it was given.
Now for legendary super swine I think it deserved to be full what if, while Oolongs character did reach a nice conclusion pretty much everything else didn't, like we didn't even get to see him DBS. Comparing Jocha to others it didn't even start though I gotta agree that it mostly came out on top because she was Goku's sister.
