    Pretty rough season up here in Maine. The wife and I just spent 4 days in Eagle Lake last weekend and managed a whopping 49 miles. Very thin. Beyond thin in a lot of places, unridable if you don't wanna tear up your sled

    • @Paisteboy
      @Paisteboy  4 месяца назад +1

      Wow! I'm so surprised that it effected Maine that bad. The trails were amazing when I went there last season. This season is apparently terrible everywhere in the US and Southern Canada.
      I was concerned about damage to my sled on some of this seasons rides. Thanks for watching.

      @@Paisteboy Oh Nice.👍🏼 Where’d you guys end up riding? Winona?
      No, I haven’t ridden once this season. Hard to get into snowmobile mode when I’ve been in the 70+ degree weather as my business has been keeping me busy lately which is a good thing. 😉
      Just looked at the extended forecast and I think I’m ready for spring as they’re showing 40’s this week, 50’s the last week in Feb and the first week in March isn’t looking much better. 😩 Mother Nature has been sticking it to us.
      Having any more starting issues with your sled?

    • @Paisteboy
      @Paisteboy  4 месяца назад +1

      We launched from Barrow's performance and rode mostly seasonal roads.
      That's too bad that you have been out and it isn't looking good for the future. I like being warm too. Lol. Hopefully you get out once if you really want to this season. you're keeping busy though just the same.
      The sled hasn't let me down since I picked it up. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen again.
      On a side note, Zuke is like a kid with a new toy. He absolutely loves his new to him Blizzard! He wants to go anywhere and everywhere to ride. I've only been out 5 days this season but he's been out 2 more than me. I knew he would love that ride more than any other sled he's ever had.

    • @SometimeIsNow
      @SometimeIsNow 4 месяца назад +1

      @@Paisteboy That’s awesome Paiste !!
      I’m so glad Zuke is loving that new sled.. Having zero issues when your riding helps with the experience, and the sled he has now will be a great sled for him for many yrs. That sled sips fuel and oil no doubt like the ‘18 Renegade X I use to have. It was a cheap sled to ride with 170+ mile range on fuel and it hardly used oil.
      This week and next weeks forecast isn’t looking promising. 😩

    • @Paisteboy
      @Paisteboy  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes. He loves the way the sled handles most of all. He was used to frequent breakdowns. lol.
      The season could be over from the looks of the upcoming forecast. It's out of our hands and looks like el nino screwed us this season. ttyl buddy.

    Well I had a good time following you on the trail map I found online. Love the 360 cam as I said before. Gary is a good rider but I just can't stand up. After ranger station did you go toward the lake or go south. Map stops there. Has anyone got a speeding ticket? I wonder if they ban you for a year or so if excessive. Have a good rest of the weekend. Waiting for Mike Guliz to put up a new vid this weekend. He has great drone and 360 also. Guys like all of the creators vidz because they do it for you and that's the least we can do to say thanks.

    • @Paisteboy
      @Paisteboy  4 месяца назад

      Cool. I think we just turned around and went back after that. We made that trip so a few times that week. Yeah, Gary is definitely a great rider with the stamina to stand up all day.
      I've seen cops pull people over there but don't know if they were issued tickets. I think it's just tickets though.
      You have a good one too.
      Mike's a good guy. He asked me about the 360 camera a little while back.

      I'm not sure you'd want to book anything this season but I can recommend the Old Forge Camping resort Cottage or Christy's Motel, both on Rt 28 in Old Forge. Right in the heart of it all. Christy's has a Fastrac gas station/minimart directly across the street. The Camping Resort has a gas pump behind their check in/store on the campgrounds. Those are the 2 places we stay the most. You will need to bring towels and bedding if you stay at the Camping Resort but nothing if you stay at Christy's other than personal hygiene products. Having the Fastrac directly across the street is a huge convenience in the morning for coffee and such or after a long day of riding for some snacks or drinks even food.
