Though I live in a wheelchair, when I listen to you, I find myself dancing with butterflies, soaring with an eagle or feeling the fresh rain on my skin. It is rare to find a writer who paints such vivid pictures with each magical, mesmerizing creation. You exemplify outstanding musicianship with each tremendous performance. It has been a sincere pleasure listening to you through the years. Needless to say, I love your work.
Saw you in concert in Salt Lake City around 1996 (give or take) at an elementary school. There was about 2 to 3 hundred lucky people in attendance. I thought I died and gone to heaven that night.
On this day 32 years ago my beautiful daughter was born. This concert was preformed in Italy 18 years ago. This music and my daughter will forever live deep in my heart ❤️.
I can listen to Suzanne all day long. This is beautiful. The Velocity of Love is a very dear song to me. When the album came out in 1986, it quickly became a favourite of mine, followed by Neverland. Thank you for sharing with me.
A great concert . I can't imagine the time and discipline required to prepare . Just watching the body language , she is definately a part of the music . Beyond the mechanical aspect of playing , the timing , dynamics and when when all that is accomplished , there is a specific mood conveyed from each composition . That is where the true art begins !
She's the consumate professional, both as composer and performer, whether on piano or electronics, going back at least to the album "Flowers of Evil", in1969... Same year Terry Riley's " A Rainbow in Curved Air" came out...
Suzanne ciani ´s music its so powerful and beautiful that you can listen again and again during all your life.. Suzanne put the heart in each note... thanks Suzanne for bring to life such beautiful songs... thanks for share with the world.
Your "Suzanne Ciani at Don Buchla Memorial Concerts" is astonishing, Pure perfection, to be able to play that live, is way beyond anyone ever. Because it is you, the one and only..................................You...........................Professor of the Buchla..............Sadly I was unable to get to the Royal Albert Hall last year to hear your concert. But thankfully I just received a copy of your last Album from Germany today, I look forward to hearing it. Your an inspiration.........
Thank you Suzanne for posting this. I was just telling a friend about you...bragging on your behalf actually. Super-talented in so many areas of music. Often when I hear music in the background of a commercial, I asked my wife if she thinks you wrote that. Not to date myself (and you), but I saw you in concert 30 years ago. Remains a fond memory.
This is so amazing....to find that live concert only for piano and all my favourite songs.....I always play the piano (by ear mostly) and always ends trying to learn some songs like "Rain", "Neverland" and "La Mer" (achieved Rain, almost achieved Neverland and learning La Mer).....so beatiful "landscapes" songs that inmerse me in a wonderful sound journey..... Greetings from Chile, I knew late when you visited my country, hoping that you come back soon, greetings!
Very nice. Good stuff. Glad to see other pianists do that when they play. ^_^ If you're ever in Western NY I would love to buy you dinner and have you sign my Xenon machine. ^_^
I am not a great piano fan at all, but when Suzanne plays it, it changes everything. Same happens when she plays the Buchla (although I do love synthesizers).
Why can't she play her compositions when she comes to chicago not her inspirations come on Suzanne pianissmo all day long this is what she should of played on this tour
it's the 80's, Im' in a all inclusive hotel drinking malibu coca cola for breakfast, i'm sweating in winter and now this musician comes on stage and plays this crap music. For some reason I vomit. The drinks ? the music ? But later surely I kill myself.
You know, I never thought of that! And there's a good reason -- other than both of them playing piano, Suzanne Ciani's music bears no resemblance to that of John Tesh. (any more than does that of George Winston, Liz Story, etc.)
Really, Carl? I don't particularly enjoy JT's music either. But why the use of the H-word? Suzanne's music has been an integral part of my life for three decades. I respect your right to your own taste, but find no resemblance between the two except, as noted by Matthew, they both play the piano (among other instruments).
This surprised me, I've been listening to her electronic music and what I've heard is nothing at all like this. I see why you might not like this and why you might compare it to John Tesh, but as a pianist I can also see why she might enjoy playing this kind of music on the piano, it's very soulful, if not interesting to me in the way I tend to enjoy music.

Suzanne Ciani's music is a big part of my young adult life. 30yrs later and they're still good, brings back memories.
Suzanne is a true Romantic artist of our age, both with her Buchla and her piano.
Lovely!! Some people told me that the music of my channel sounded like Suzanne and I came here! So great music!

I am not a great piano fan at all, but when Suzanne plays it, it changes everything. Same happens when she plays the Buchla (although I do love synthesizers).

Incredible electronic music genius. I like. I'm subscribed. But, just a bit too commercial..

This sounds like John Tesh....I HATE John Tesh.

Not even close. If you don't like it, go somewhere else and stop trolling talented musicians.
It does sound similar. I prefer her early exploration with synths.
