And that my friends is how you make and present a perfect video. No jibber jabber, no BS, no horrible music and didn’t put himself up front for attention or air time, just produce a beautiful piece of art that is functional. Well done, thank you sir, i want to see more. Am now a sub.
I really look up to y'know the amount of skill you have to be extremely cool, I find being able to do something like make a 2$ rusty old knife to something brand new admirable. Keep up the good work
its a pleasure watching you work - i like the way you freehand the lathe - i never saw anyone turn metal same as wood is turned - it sure works faster for the parts that dont need to be totally precise - great job
i guess Im asking randomly but does any of you know of a way to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost my login password. I love any tips you can give me
@Caiden Cristiano I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Wow! What an informative video without a word being spoken. Thank you!!! I like the tool you made. Looks like it does really fine detail work very well.
This is the best design for turning chisels on RUclips! Well done. I’m going to save your videos on a DVD for future reference. Thanks for your tutelage. Bill from MN.
It's not a grub screw. It's a set screw. Grub screws are used to hold parts on a shaft from the front end, not the side. Sorry, it's a pet peeve, I have to trot it around the block once a year,LOL. Some more nice work. I like your videos, thank you for sharing.
I'd love to see more brass turned on the wood lathe. I bought a bar, intending to make a fid, but never had the nerve to mount it. Nobody on YT is doing any brass turning.
El estaño está bien para muchas aplicaciones. Personalmente he hecho muchas cosas con estaño. Sabes? Invertí en un soplete de GAS MAP, para reemplazar el estaño y me fue muy bien! Quizás puedas probarlo
NICE work!!! Love the handle... much better than my simplistic approach Hope you don't mind I'll take it as an inspiration for my own handle making challenges i.e. next time I make another set of turning tools - I'll make a similar handle ;).
Most likely a dumb question, but is that cutting oil you're spraying on your mill work,or lubricant? An is cutting oil over rated? P.S. Wow you've come a long way from back when I first sub. It's awesome to see how you have grown..Congratz...
Thank you! It's cutting oil, I don't know if it helps or not on brass, but I noticed on the lathe it cuts a bit on the squeaking noise, which seemed to upset the viewers, so I use it mostly for that.

Real therapy watching you at work in your small workshop
Amazing how it takes these big intense tools to make something that looks so elegant and polished. Awesome work
Squared away, cleans and polishes the areas that will be hidden inside and no one will ever see... I love that! True craftsman at heart.
Glad you're back. That wood indeed looks gorgeous.

Wow this video is fantastic. Can you give me a bit more info on the chisels you used and the rough RPM while turning your brass?
it was a standard chinese hss scraper, made for woodturning / 1500 rpm.
Приятные вещи творишь!

Edit the comment budd
Did you just...HAND TURN on a metal lathe?? What kind of tool are you using for that, if I may ask? That was so cool!
Just a cheap chinese hss scraper made for woodturning.
Best thanks for sharing
What type of wood is it? Love the videos I now sub to you.
Thanks! It's oak that's been under water for hundreds, maybe thousands of years. Like in a swamp. It's called bog oak.
NICE work!!!
Love the handle... much better than my simplistic approach

What is the name of the wheel change thing he uses at 11:40 some kind of polishing stone?
It's a felt wheel, used for polishing with an abrasive compound.
What chuck are you using on your wood lathe?
