I came across your channel this weekend as I begin my research on Kracken boats. What a special surpice to find my new favorite sailing channel. You are both lovely people . Who make very entertaining videos. Adam I wish you an amazing, deep journey in experiencing new depths of love as you spend time with your father during his time of transforming back into his eternal self. If you and your father still have time, and your not to embarrassed, look into each others eyes, breathing. It is in this place that you can both familiarize with eternity of the other... become aware of a feeling in your heart that is vast. Better yet do it all as a family. Blessings
I'll bet there are lots of folks looking at Kraken Yachts and dreaming now. I know there's at least one. The Ocean Sailor podcast is really good too. Thanks for bringing attention to both.
Just found your channel last week and as we are in lock down here in Canberra I started from the beginning. I’ve been bin watching as much as I can, absolutely love the channel it brightens up my day, your laughter is infectious and love the faces the first mate makes, keep going and keep laughing. Stephen
From one ginger to another, I did my HOT Sunny times in the Navy in Vietnam and then straight to Puerto Rico. I was 19 in Vietnam and 20 - 23 in Puerto Rico. Talk about freckles and of course I got called RED on board ship. But the both of you are my number ONE RUclips Channel. 🥰
You guys were great crew and did a really good review of this great boat. I like the t-shirts they gave you, I may not have seen one but, showing the incredible large Octopus (Kraken) pulling a boat to the abyss may not be a very good sales shirt, but would be just fun!
Dear friends, please give it a thought; it is so easy to get burned when cooking like you did. If there is any boiling water splashed over, your legs and feet are target number 1. I personally would atleast wear an apron or so, and closed shoes. And now I will stop talking like a grumpy sailor, cause I am not. Just want you to be and stay safe out there..😁 With love from us.. XXX
Love your beautiful videos! Thank you for including us in your journey. Always excited each week to be along for repairs, discussions, and sailing. Love, love, love you two. -dm
Really cool. Enjoyed seeing how much fun you guys had and, by the way, its also a really good advertisement for the boat. I think everyone wins here! Seems like Khiara might be ready to get back to being a bit more hands on 😊, but she's awfully sweet to let Adam do his thing. Adam has strong (and good!) opinions on blue water boats and you can tell how passionate he is to be sailing a boat that is so well thought out and designed. Great videos, as always. My favorite sailing channel by far. Best one on youtube in my opinion...let's get you some more views so you can afford that Kraken 50 some day.
Wonderful series of videos guys on the Kraken 50! You inspired me to go off and watch a number of Kraken Yachts own videos. I am so impressed just as you were with how well thought out everything is, the build quality appears excellent but most of all it’s the rock solid safety that’s got me in.
That was a really enjoyable watch! Incredible boat. Thank you for all your hard work, on that series and the whole channel. All we have is a cold cloudy windy day in Melbourne, so the sun was a nice wake up.
The bragging rights is for the Sailboat that goes the fastest with minimal heel and not for the fastest with maximum heal, did you forget that ? love the video, amazing sailboat, chhers from P&F in Sechelt, BC
When I buy mine would you two be interested in being delivery crew to the US? Now that would be a trip to remember. Thank you for showing all of this. Well done. Have fun!
A boom furling main would be ideal in my opinion. That way all handling can be done from the helm and no need to ever go forward while underway or having to head into the wind to lower the main or set a reef point.
I loved watching Kraken series. Recently discovered your channel and I'm already a huge fan! Kraken is now on top of my dream list. I also admire your courage because I'm originally from Istanbul and I wouldn't dip a toe in Marmara sea, let alone swimming in it but I'm sure you'll be fine :-)
In comparison to the Discovery range, which to me seem the most comparable competitor, can the Krakens be set up/automated for short handed sailing? If you guys don't get a huge discount offer at the very least for all the free advertising you've done this past month and a bit for the Kraken group I'd be amazed....
Hi loved the video's onboard the Kraken, you sure had a great time. I have a question as we know that you love the boat so much can it be crewed by just the 2 of you or does it need more people. I am guess just 2 people would be a push. Anyway keep up the great work on the videos as I love sharing your trips away.
Adam and Khiara, 🙋♂️ Great video. 😁 I smiled all the way through this one to. (And some of the comments also...😂) For a long time I have debated the monohull vs multi-hull arguments with myself. (at least mostly with myself anyway.😊) Your video coverage of the Krakens may have broken that stalemate. 😉 I have one question. If you were offered a dream deal that put you in possession of a 50 foot Kraken, How hard would it be for you to give up the Millennial Falcon? Best Wishes from the Northern Gulf of Mexico. 🙏🙋♂️
It’s a lovely boat but it would seem the owner made some peculiar rigging decisions… particularly the lack of electric winches. I can’t imagine specifically requesting to delete ALL of the electric winches and eliminating the furling main. I would be curious about the reasoning behind those choices.
Perhaps he had a previous experience with a furling main that wouldn't furl with the wind getting up. I would rather the extra work of slab reefing myself.

@@mikebarron5805 I'm in the south. Summer is, as you say, like swimming in soup. 😀30c or so. Winter it drops down to 16ish. Which is hotter than England for all apart from the hottest months of the British summer when England's seas reach a heady 19 degrees or so. 😂
I'm astonished that the high end boats often don't do shakedown cruises like this. How else can they deliver a boat ready to sail off by the new owners? I just don't get it. It seems just so sensible.
Some brands do, others have a period (e.g. A month or so) where you do the shakedown yourself and can bring the boat back in for free tweaks etc. What annoys me a little is the "hard sell" the Kraken team seem to do by dissing the competition.... horses for courses but I'd take some of what Kraken says with a pinch of salt... or certainly within context!
