Hey! I experienced dpdr after a very bad experience with weed. It is now 8 weeks since and your videos have helped me a lot. Your perspective about acceptance and cultivating a sense of security have changed the way I see dpdr. I am now about 95 percent recovered. KNOW THAT these feelings will pass. Accept them. Live your life as if you didn’t have dpdr. Get into hobbies even if you don’t feel like it, get into an exercise routine, don’t let the feelings control what you do. The more you push yourself and do things you are scared to do the more you prove to yourself that you are in control. Don’t give up hope.
You hit all the right points there.
Hey Swamy ,I’ve had dp since last nov and I think I recovered ,I can’t thank you enough ,man I feel normal ,I can finally say I’m getting used to reality again ,thank you
Well done dude. You are an inspiration to others.

thanks for this, it's really helpful for kids and parents❤
Hey Mr. Swamy, everything you said here is spot on. I'm 15 and I've been dealing with DR/DP for about 10 months and it has been extremely hard on me and my family. Hopefully I can get your course soon. Are you fully recovered from DR/Dr? Does it still come back, and how do you manage. Thank you.
I’m 15 too and 85% cured it’s honestly anxiety meditate and take it slow you’ll be fine
@@jayd1nero did you recover?
Hey sir thank you for your videos 😀 its helping me a lot thanks 👍
I wish my parents were like this. They just treaten me when i feel like this
Is it normal im only 12 yo and im experiencing this freakin illness.
Give the person hope
Tell them it’s ok to be sad
-But it’s not always going to be like this
It’s critical for them to believe they can recover
Do normal things that did before, create a routine
Get a good night sleep and awake up at a good time
Exercise
Eat healthy
Don’t be busy all the time, take breaks
Take a hobby
Energy is on themselves right now, missing out on life, thinking negative, help them understand
They need distractions, working on hobbies, projects
Don’t force it, provide rewards
Some may feel shamed or guilty
-Tell them it’s not their fault
Talk to them about how they are feeling, 20 to 30 minutes, don’t force them to say anything
Go through videos and books
I think i ruin my whole life😨😭
My son is only 7. He was bit by a tick and I don't know what exactly did it but probably hearing us talk about our fears and complaining that the doctors won't help. I would do anything to change that and we have talked to him and set things straight but he seems to be stuck. I'm just devastated, I don't know how to pull him back, he's just a little boy, this is the saddest thing I've ever seen
I’m in a similar position with my 5 year old 😢 someone please help
The same, my 10 years old daughter have this, she missing school a lot, doctors says it will go away, we on waiting list therapy, long waiting, tried private counselling but was waste of time . We stuck
If anyone does get some help comment here. I'll keep checking back 😥
I have a fear of psychosis is that normal ?
That's a very common fear during DPDR. That doesn't mean it will come true.
@@RealSwamyG so how can I put that fear to rest because the initial weed situation I had was very traumatic
I don’t know if it is dp, but I just get sudden scary thoughts that I’m losing myself, but it’s only when my anxiety kicks in, any thoughts?
Anxiety?

Those symptoms sound close to what a DPDR sufferer might experience. Watch the other videos on my channel, you'll understand how to heal and recover.
i got my dpdr after a surgery...
PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION.
My 13-year old son has symptoms of derealization. Are VR games related to DR?
My vision is like very dim. Always fear about death. Have done all the test doctors are saying I am perfectly alright. They didn't understand why my vision is very dim and heartbeat rate is around 90+. Does this comes under Dp/Dr?
Yes
Are you tamil?

Hello man please speak in Hindi
I have anxiety or dpdr after I use weed
Swamy, i feel as if ill never recover from DR because im constantly thinking and worrying about how i feel. The only time my mind is distracted is when im with family or at work. When im alone i fixate on how i feel like im in a dream (more like nightmare) and have a dawning sense of reality. I'm having a hard time enjoying things i used to because of this worry. I tried to give myself an underlying sense of safety but it doesnt really soothe the thought of never feeling normal again.
Find a hobby or a project that you can dedicate yourself to. May be pick up an instrument to learn. Find something... Don't spend all day on RUclips or social media.

and im 16
Sir have you ever gone through a therapy to recover from dp/dr or you recover from your own please let me know
Therapy helps, but you gotta find a therapist who has gone thru DPDR or at least has treated someone else with DPDR before, or at least be willing to learn everything abt this condition.
i love my parents but they feel so unfamiliar to me... how can i feel familiar to them again?
I’m the exact same way, but understand this, you know those moments throughout your day (could be split seconds) where ur spaced out and you forget all about dp. That’s why all u have to do to make that 100% of your day is remember to stop thinking about it. It can’t hurt us, we are safe and the more anxiety we have is when it gets us the most, nothing ur not scared of can hurt you. Understand that dp is harmless and when you just live out life and understand ur not going insane and safe, it will leave slowly. Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help

Sir is alexithymia comes under derealization??
I use one time weed but after lot of anxiety
Can DPDR become a habit over time?
I don’t think so, DPDR is like a self-protection mode our brain has. It stays there until the danger is gone, it is there to help you feel better(yeah it sound crazy but it does).
It might seem scary but it is in your hands, if you fuel anxiety to yourself DPDR gets worse if you slowly remove anxiety it slowly fades... BONUS your life gets 30x better after DRDP than it was before it
@@777Lxxx are you recovered... Have you experienced it?
@@draxsibat7829 yes meditate bro try to distract yourself it’s literally just anxiety more anxiety = more dp
@@draxsibat7829 not fully recovered but almost 90%, the only symptom is the “world seems fake” thing, but I have strabismus so it might come from that(i will have a check soon)
the main point is that you should change your lifestyle, LOWER YOUR ANXIETY
What i mean by that: do things, go to gym, go out, eat healthy, engage with other people. Mental states are connected with our body(our posture, how we breathe, what we eat, how we sleep) check your vitamin levels, quit watching porn and taking stimulants (caffeine, nicotine, everything that ends with INE)
Writing and reading are a must, it stimulates our brain and it create a sense of safety (we live in 2 states: calm mode or survival mode and we are in the survival mode rn)
Also check from any past emotional trauma and neglect and try to think about them and process them, sometimes it is just our mind trying to escape emotions that triggers DPDR. Basically is yourself telling you to look inwards.
I hope you and everyone reading this recovers soon 🤞🏻
