Being parents we contemplate our child future. I agree many parents are obsessed with ranks, marks, score etc. His speech is an eye opener. Every parent should realise that present day environment is not conducive to studies. We are not leaving attachment to electronic goods, despite we advise our child to leave attachment to gadgets. How ironic it is. Pvt institutions are polluting our minds and making us to feel marks and ranks are important. We need to introspect and get over from this obsession and let go attachment to marks.

So true! My patents had always a condescending attitude towards me. They hadn’t the patience to guid me. I strongly want to warn parents that if you are really angry or frustrated or have negative feelings towards your child because to stop that behavior ! it will stifle them if they grow older! I had to really find myself again and get rid of a lot of toxic believes the outside world projected onto me! Glad that I’m fortunate to be able to reflect back and learn from it and heal from it.I’m now 35 and love studying, i read every day, and i play piano on a intermediate level. It’s not impossible to heal but it takes time and this could be avoided! So be kind and patience with your child because it will pay off in the long run! Don’t project your anger or frustration onto your kids ! Talk to a trained professional about your feelings to process them instead of damaging your kids.Thank you 🙏

    Nonsense my dear friend.
I want my son to be sincere and responsible. Marks are the last thing on my mind. Even if he fails, it is fine. But he is so arrogant and feels entitled, it is really irritating.
Tried all methods except hitting, none worked.
Does not take ownership of task at all. Video games and football are his life. Studies ??! What in the world is that????!!!
    I foresee a dismal future.
