Being a lifelong (40 years) Astros fan from Houston I just have to give Manny and the Padres props for their passion and determination. I'll be rooting for the Padres in the NL.

Machado has a history of dirty plays and being arrogant in his earlier years in the league, but he has matured and gained a lot more respect the last few years so Padres fans love him

What I love about Manny is his stoicism. Seems like he’s in a good mental space and recognizes that the team still played good ball despite the loss.

Icing Hader to go to NY for a rules-check on a simple disengagement call while a runner is on base was BS. Not checking with your other Ump's when you did not see a ball foul off the batter's foot was BS. The strike zone was looser than a $2 whore. Like JV said from the dugout, "You guys have to do better"! And if the league is really trying to get the calls right, then make foul balls off of players legs and hit by pitches reviewable. Profar was pissed too, how did you not see that pitch not hit him? Both teams are in a late season hunt for a playoff berth. Get your ish together MLB!

You have to recognized Manny's mastering of the English language coming from a Dominican player. Oh, wait, wait, wait, I forgot, Manny is an "American" ball player born in Miami, FL, USA. Just because he has chosen to play for the Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic, it gets lost for some people that he is an American ball player. No need for a Visa or work permit for Manny. Before the World Baseball Classic, he played for the US team in the Pan American games in 2009.
