Good video thank you but you forgot to mention that the filter at the base needs cleaning monthly... that’s where all the smell is

I've watched all of those tutorials in that channel. They are really helpful. I stumbled upon this channel by looking on how to properly clean my Hotpoint Ariston fridge. I've watched all of the tutorials even though I don't own some of those products, but they're still very nice to watch, and very well made. Keep up the good work in those videos, and thank you again!

CALGON in every wash will keep machine smelling good and in hard water areas only half the amount of detergent is required

I use washing soda to keep my machine odour free and it helps with lime scale , much cheaper than calgon and the like

That's all good and well, but what about the mould that grows on the top of the detergent drawer, I can remove most of it with a hot soap cloth, but the holes which let the water into the drawer have some black mould still in them. how! do you remove that?

We have inherited a Hotpoint machine in our new home and it stinks! Cleaned the seal, the detergent drawer, the filter, the drain hose, made sure no sink run off, used all possible descalers and cleaners and it still smells! I am told unlike other manufacturers, Hotpoint seal their drums which makes them impossible to clean. Which means I’ll likely need a new machine, and not Hotpoint!

Throw it in the skip . I bought this washer and it has to be one of the most unhygienic machines ever . I’m generally a very clean person and a former laundrette/drycleaning shop owner . I wish I had never bought this machine it’s awful .

@@wahidkhaliq4776 I have found another tiny crease in the rubber bit around the drum (at the very front), cleaned that and it's improved. Dr Beckmann is a good cleaner also. However I still plan to replace this damn washer b/c the choice of washing modes on it is abysmal - everything is 3 hours and 80+ litres of water. I hope to go back to Bosch.

@@nomadoftheuniverse hmmm ... same here ... I have an insurance care plan with domestic & general and have been paying on that plan a ridiculous £12 a month only ever calling out once in summer 2018 ... the rubber seal was changed by the repair man without quibble ... last week I called them again over various issues the man who came out was dismissive and rude and said I would have to pay for a new rubber seal as they charge for that 😒 I told him previously there wasn’t a charge so that put him on spot . In the end I just paid him £30 but feel aggrieved he didn’t resolve any other issues and wouldn’t leave the rotten rubber seal as he must have realised I would film the defective product and put it onto social media . The customer services called me after asking if I was happy but ultimately it was about trying to sell me other cover and cleaning products . The lady however did state that there should be no charge for the rubber seal and others had complained to her about that 😟 never ever buying hot point again , they’re welcome to comment here if they want 😒

I have constantly cleaned my washing machine with the sachets that I bought from the manufacturer and still it smells, i have always cleaned the drawer and the rubber round the drum, never had this problem with my other machine's, the smell is definitely coming from the drum, definitely not going to buy another Hotpoint.

      Hi Joe
Thank you for your message...It sounds like you need to reset the appliance. Could you turn off the appliance and remove the mains plug leave this off for five minutes then plug everything back in and turn on.
If this is still persistant please give us a call on 03448 224 224 and we can diagnose this further.
      Kind regards

My aunties hotpoint model wml540p its currently 12 years old the motor sounds odd during spin not sparking Because the carbon brushes are fine could that be the sign of broken motor bearings
