Yes more St. Anger songs being played live and hopefully they continue to play more like Dirty Window! We need a live of Sweet Amber and The Unnamed Feeling, they would be amazing to witness being played live!

It's so sad that people judge this album as objectively as possible. People only care about how it sounds but never the reason it was made in the first place. James had gone into rehab, Jason had left the band, and documentaries clearly showed that the members of the band were constantly at each other's throats during the era this album was in production. The name of the album literally force feeds you the reason why everything in it sounds so harsh and unpolished: They were angry. This album was mechanical, it was meant to allow the members to vent everything they have felt during this era. It becomes more apparent when you realize anytime they perform it live nowadays they do add solos and they perform with cleaner sounding instrumentation, because now they are in a much more stable state of mind.
Music isn't just something to appease a crowd, it's a medium to express art and emotion, which this band has done perfectly. I really hope as some of these fans mature they realize the true meaning behind this album and not just judge it by its sounds.
Many of us didn't like the St. Anger album, especially because of the drums and the studio recording in general, but the lyrics and live performances are amazing. !Excellent¡

I'm for the idea of Metallica re-doing St. Anger, live in their garage, the way they've been playing these songs live. Call it "St. Anger: Garage Inc. Revisited" or something.
And then drop a brand new album six or so months later that follows up from songs like Hardwired, Moth and Bone, and gives us another instrumental 🤘🏾

Na minha opinião,não é nem questão da falta de solos.tanto que esse álbum foi feito com este propósito .o grande problema é a bateria e as músicas que são muito,mas muito grandes e repetitivas.tanto que a versão dos clips oficiais são muito mais agradáveis de ouvir do que as músicas completas do álbum.quem dera se eles regravassem este álbum com uma produção descente e com as músicas mais curtas .seria outra história

I love how they tweeked the song and Kirk added a wicked solo to it. Metallica is sounding better then ever,better and better as they age. Amazing performance from every band member.
And the snare sound like a snare not like a tin-bin.
I’d love to hear a studio version with these changes! Window ‘22!

Well... here are some reasons: Trash can snare, lack of solos, overly long and repetitive riffs, and even James' singing sucks at times.
Most of these are fixed when they play St. Anger songs live at least.
If they keep playing St. Anger tunes and releasing these pro shot/pro audio mixes, we could effectively put together a modern day mix of the entire album haha. Would kill for that.

I did that with every song from Kill 'Em All. Every performance was post-Hardwired. Best YT playlist ever: the incredible songs of early Metallica with 35-40 years of skill building behind them. It's amazing.
Hard to believe this is the same James Hetfield that felt too old a few weeks ago. Both his and Rob's performance are consistently top notch. Kirk and Lars also impressive on this one
I don't understand why is he torturing himself again and again.... I remember reading somewhere when I was in high school (in 90.'s :) James' interview when he said something like "live shows are for us like salt for soup" but it's too much now

St. Anger é um ótimo disco, as pessoas que foram influenciadas pela crítica e algumas mídias na época a dizerem isso também, hoje muita gente reconhece que é um grande álbum, eu curto muito tbem e foi foda ouvir essa ao vivo! Que show!!🤟🇧🇷

@@lucianooliveira7656 convenhamos nem l mais fanático ou até mesmo o Lars entende ou justifica aquele som de lata na bateria e a produção sem pé nem cabeça tentando soar parecido com as bandas da época de nu metal e afins. As mesmas faixas no CD bônus ao vivo funcionam bem melhor. Preferia Frantic ao vivo no show em SP mas Dirty Window foi uma bela surpresa tb.

I saw them in 2014, his voice is so much better now.
I know they’ve played it twice in the last 12 months, and that means they might keep doing it, but I’d love to hear Some Kind of Monster. It’s my favorite off St. Anger and I’d love to hear it with a modern flavor.

I have a huge affection for st anger. In addition to understanding the feeling that the musicians (but especially James for the phase he was going through) put in the songs, it was the first Metallica album I heard and it was given by my dad to a secret santa when I was 12 years old. My whole life I had relationship problems with my dad, and several years later, being able to watch Metallica play Dirty Window live together with my dad was an unspeakable feeling. Grateful to the universe for providing me with this incredible moment and grateful to Metallica, one of the greatest bands in history!

Cool to see St. Anger stuff played more! Not my favorite record but it has some great songs and they sound killer love. And James is sounding the best live over the past few years than he has since probably around 2000 to me. His clean vocals are strong and his growls have a lot of power. Metallica is sounding better than when I watched them on the Death Magnetic tour and they were awesome then too

@@thedancingguy828 correcto, 2003 - 2004 era parte de la lista. En 2005 solo hubo dos conciertos cuando le abrieron a Los Stones (luego que la casi separacion de Metallica jj), y luego del 2006 para aca, casi no se toca Dirty Window.

Honestly they should do a St. Anger tour, it’s almost its 20 year anniversary, and now that there are a lot more Metallica fans from the new generations, there’s surprisingly a lot of people that like St. Anger, including myself. They still haven’t played some songs from it at live performances, so I’d love to see it happen. Seeing Kirk try to incorporate solos would also be fun to see…
@ghost mall Yeah that’s the point-it’s therapeutic. Not just for them but for the listeners too. I went through a difficult time in my life & St. Anger helped me get through it. It holds a special place in my heart and it’s a good album to listen to when you’re feeling like shit and you need to vent some anger out.
@ghost mall I think Load and Reload are brilliant. I struggle with St Anger but just from a production stand point. I like a lot of the songs but that damn snare makes the entire album unlistenable.

@@shiznack yep... I think there’s a video you can watch where someone listed all of the songs they haven’t played live yet... there’s quite a lot actually, most of them being from the 2 Loads & St. Anger.

The integration of St. Anger songs back into the set list really highlights how maligned the record was upon release and how many quality songs are on it.

Essa música fica mil vezes melhor ao vivo, com som de bateria melhor e ainda um puta solo do Kirk.
Nunca consegui gostar de nada do St anger por conta da bateria e da ausência de solos. Mas realmente, ao vivo ficou muito foda essa música. Na hora que o James falou que ia ser uma de St anger eu fiquei puto que ia tirar o lugar de alguma música decente deles kkkkkk mas foi uma surpresa agradável

I know that there were some good songs on the much-maligned St. Anger album, but damn, this kicks ass! James' voice sounds wicked af, Lars is sounding really tight and of course Kirk rips it up.

I love St. Anger, unabashedly. The songs, the production, all of it. However, performances like this will probably help more people get into the songs. It's also interesting to hear them with Hammet solos.
