      People hate on him now because they say he's sloppy. I will agree that yes, he is somewhat sloppy now, but he is older now and he's got arthritis. So I do not agree with people hating on him. They need to put themselves in his shoes

    • @gopaaa
      @gopaaa 8 лет назад +40

      +multiestonian I try not to fall onto the lars sucks bandwagon, but he's a pretty mediocre performer and drummer. And Justice For All is a really great album in terms of his drumming, but listen to him here. His double bass is alright but the little double bass thing he does before cymbal hits is so clunky. He also fucks up on really simple things which can be really taxing on the other members considering the drummer is supposed to be the foundation and keep the tempo

    • @EncoreFilmsInc

      Lars is a bad drummer. He WAS good, not great, but he was solid for what his job was. His arranging capabilities are really amazing though, and he has a good ear for music. But now, he kinda sucks at the whole drumming thing. I know it's hard to admit, but honestly just watch him play live anytime after, eh, 2003 ish. He overplays, uses the same fills, has no sense of time anymore, and is just lazy behind the kit. But damn he was (and still is) amazing at creating songs. Some people HATE him for his laziness, but I am just more indifferent towards him. I liked his drumming from 1985-2000, after that it just falls off. I don't hate him for it, I just wish he gave a shit about it.

    Having seen the Mighty Met recently, it pains me to say this but... Lars killed it here. One of my favorite performances by him. His double bass sound was tight af. Except skipping out on the triplets during the solo. Not judging tho. As a long time drummer, gallops on the pedals are notoriously hard, especially at this tempo
