Appreciate the wealth of information your videos provide. Looking at AZ for retirement from So Cal. We had a weekend home in Desert Hot Springs, CA, so love the desert. If you can touch more on healthcare, that would be much appreciated. You mentioned the costs are "higher" than expected in one video. Also, looked into Prescott, but local healthcare seemed to be a Tribal Hospital. As we're not local, we're not sure if that matters. We are both in healthcare, so also looking at part time retirement if work is available. Thanks!
We moved to Prescott, it’s way more expensive than we expected. Pretty similar prices to San Diego for cost of living, food, health care, etc. gasoline is cheaper because of taxes, but sales tax here is 9%, higher than CA.
BATTLEFIELD 101 trust me most of the people in California who wants more open gun laws are either conservative or just have common sense. California is too far left for the average person
What are the specifics about P80 “Glock” pistols, or the Home builds or “Ghost guns”. Considering you don’t necessarily need registration in Arizona, and you can even have some explosives. So my question is what would the severity be if in a situation where you’re stopped, and asked to basically look at the weapon. I understand this might be a very naïve question but I always was told no such thing as a dumb question.
I’ll tell you that I was born in Massachusetts in 1964. My grandfather was a machinist, gunsmith and frequent target “company sponsored” competition winner for The Harrington & Richardson Firearms Company! It pisses me off to no end that The Cradle of Firearms industry in New England has been reduced to a fearful industry in a non gun friendly environment! My grandfather died one month after I was born. He taught my Mother how to shoot but first the most basic rule “don’t ever point an gun at someone unless you intend to kill them! He then taught my older brothers the same rules. I own an AR-15 made in Springfield Massachusetts. My brother, in Massachusetts who has forgotten more about guns than I will ever know, can’t own an AR-15! It’s ridiculous, he has a beautiful collection of guns that I would be proud to own! His 338 Lapua Magnum could take someone’s head off at 2 miles! We have never hurt anyone in our lives, we live by the Golden Rule! I think I’ve said enough! I hope to come live in Arizona! Thank You Sir!

@Mr.Morris a lot of states have a reciprocity with other states - meaning it’s honored in that state also. There are many web sites...here’s just one you can check www.usacarry.com/concealed_carry_permit_reciprocity_maps.html
No, you can't just walk into a shop and no paperwork is done. In shops you'll have a background check. You can get one from a 3rd party seller, which is easy to find, and yes you can buy off them with no paperwork... but they'll probably check your ID and what not. That's what the guy that I bought mine off of did. And then yes, you can carry openly or concealed without a permit

Literally saw my neighbors break into home across alley way and sheriff's did absolutely nothing about it or were able to offer any explanation or if my neighbors also lived in that house or if they contacted anyone in it but said no one was there but I definetely saw the man with a sock covered face jump the alley way fence and break into home and barricade himself and must have hid. The cops didnt check the perimeter or door I said they entered on north side. Defintely am buying a gun now. Sorry MCSO but you're a bit of a joke. I support law enforcement but they don't care about all county island residents and treat certain addresses with varying credibility
Could i possibly use a level 1 fingerprint clearence card its the same as a backround check right? Mine is good for the next five years and im turning 21 in a couple of months.
Lots of great information here for someone new to Arizona but I just want to clarify, yes you have to complete and pass a background check when buying a firearm from a store, retailer, etc. BGC are processed through AzDPS I believe. There is no mandatory waiting period as well. When I got my moms xmas present it took them a couple hours for my BGC, I assumed It was due to the servers at DPS being swamped. I mean guns are great christmas presents! I loved her gun so much I wanted my own, went back to buy another one here in Phoenix and was out the door in about 15 minutes. Gotta love all this freedom we got over in AZ haha
AZ you can't go searching with you flashlight maintain your position if the intruder comes to that position, it's a direct threat. There are 2 laws here Santuary Law and Stand your ground two different things can be confusing. Arizona doesn't require a safety class or conceal carry class. Just suggested.
im 19 and active military, i read about how everyone who can conceal carry must be 21 or over OR 19 and active military/veteran, is that true, can i at 19yrsold conceal carry a handgun, and if so, what courses if any, would i need to complete

I was brought up as a child at 10 years old my father had weapons on the bed doesn't matter if they're loaded or unloaded you do not touch them unless you ask my dad like I said was a Marine I respect that and honor that nobody touches any weapon unless they ask to pick them up loaded or unloaded I am not a person that picks up anybody else's weapon without asking them first okay I'm been brought up that way
If you want to conceal carry in other states then you must have a ccw permit. So Az will still issue the permits. Also I think you need the permit to cc in a bar.
Tony, In az the castle doctrine is stand your ground, here in az your vehicle can be your castle, you can stand your ground on what you own. Shall not flight but fight.
we have very few restrictions in the state. a CCW permit is available if yo want one, it gets some benefit in terms of being allowed near schools (federal law supersedes state law) while carrying. we also have no knife laws. zero. they repealed them because using any implement to threaten, or harm someone is already a crime. i can walk down the street with a samurai sword and an AR-15 if i want.
'm going to start camping in Arizona for the winter.(legal Indiana resident) Some spring and fall camping in the Mountain areas. Can I purchase a shotgun from a store there and a box of slugs to protect myself from bears and bobcats etc? Anyone that answered this it's very much appreciated. So me as a 19 year old, could just go down to Walmart and purchase a shotgun or riffle with no permit or license? If so, then how is the gun registered to me? Im afraid of getting caught with a gun somehow, and they can't trace the gun to me. How does that part work?
I recently went there and was denied because im under 21 i think there licenced so that makes no sale to anyone under 21 and i wasnt even trying to buy a firearm, i was trying to buy ammo and got denied
I have a question if somebody can please answer this for me. I want to leave California because California is not a gun-friendly state it's a gang state. 1994 I was arrested for possession of a marijuana joint 20 14 I got my record erased completely but instead of having marijuana on the charger a possession of cocaine less than a gram. They made a mistake on my record I told the judge was wrong in 2014 after 20 something years the judge advised me just to get it expunged which I got it expunged under Prop 47 vacated set aside from a misdemeanor I mean from a felony to a misdemeanor to it's gone. I would like to know if I move to Arizona or free state am I allowed to purchase my firearm legally the Department of Justice said yes but I want to ask Arizona residence is this true can I legally purchase my firearm in Arizona and I also have letter from the court stating my record has been dismissed and set aside be a Prop 47

You can be killed by someone by a simple punch. The problem with "faced with deadly threat" is that the analysis usuallyhappens AFTER its too late. by the time you find out the bad guy is going to kill you, might be when he has a knife blade 2 inches from your face. Here are my rules: bad guy in my house, and they have a weapon from a bat and above - I am shooting on sight. If they are unarmed I am not shooting, unless they start moving towards me. I am not playing this game on THEIR terms. If a bad guy gets close enough and grabs my gun - it becomes OUR gun at that point.

DG unearthed yeah I know and read a little about it. But I’m a Democrat but I don’t always vote demo haha thanks for the info I really do appreciate it! Anything to help keep out constitutional rights for sure! Every time!? That’s crazy!! Well it’s weird because I bought ammo the other day, didn’t get ID, bought ammo from the same store, gets IDd. Is was strange but I guess different ppl do different things. Hang tight dude, we’re in this together! Red, blue will both pull thru together. Well just speaking for myself of course.
@@royalking897, thanks, happy shooting. :-)
It's cool bro I'm a straight up leftist liberal and i own a shit ton and a combat veteran. I love it here. Don't fall into the bloomberg anti gun nonsense hype. Be aleader not a follower. Be a patriot.
@@michaelsanchez9594 so to be clear, you'll be voting for the Bloomberg backed candidates this year in AZ?
Appreciate the wealth of information your videos provide. Looking at AZ for retirement from So Cal. We had a weekend home in Desert Hot Springs, CA, so love the desert. If you can touch more on healthcare, that would be much appreciated. You mentioned the costs are "higher" than expected in one video. Also, looked into Prescott, but local healthcare seemed to be a Tribal Hospital. As we're not local, we're not sure if that matters. We are both in healthcare, so also looking at part time retirement if work is available. Thanks!
Okay lI will look into healthcare in Arizona a bit more.
Suzanne Mayer - That’d be a great video topic 😀
Please do not vote blue when you get here. Thanks.
We moved to Prescott, it’s way more expensive than we expected. Pretty similar prices to San Diego for cost of living, food, health care, etc. gasoline is cheaper because of taxes, but sales tax here is 9%, higher than CA.
@@boogiewoogie369 I wouldn't dream of it! Big part of the reason to leave CA ! I'm a Republican gun owner.....I don't fit in anymore. ;)
Think about moving to Arizona from commie Kalifornia
mike gunthner well we welcome all conservatives and non-Democrats
I'm thinking the same thing myself
Thank You Sir!
well i will be there as a forever resident as of jan 2020. looking to settle in and just enjoy life thanks for being on here to help with the new life
The reason why I moved to Arizona is because they recognize the 2A
A gun bought in gun store the Fed background is done, person to person no check, registering gun at point of sale in gun store background not done, if you buy/sell/pawn a gun at pawn shop they will register gun, fully auto gun with federal license and registered
What about carrying it in a car? How does that work,? Loaded or unloaded,? In pain sight out in comparment or trunk?
Manchezzy that didn’t make sense can you explain again I think auto correct messed up the message
@@jetergutierrez8365 sure as shit did. Edited my dude.
I’m a U.S citizen and live in California just wondering if I can legally ccw in AZ as I do travel and visit a lot to AZ ? Any help would be greatly appreciated
I love living in AZ.Long live the state of Arizona. In az We can go to the pawn shop buy whatever gun we want and leave with it any day it's justt greaatt
So I'm going to school in AZ as a non resident. Do I need to change my license to buy a firearms?
AZ should institute tests to make sure those understand unequivocally "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGE" before granting residential status.
Moving from CA to AZ this year for this and many reasons.
Just don't bring any commie ideas with you, please.
AZ was too blue for us. We went all the way to TN. It’s the escapees like us who plan to keep the red states red
@@sslum AZ didn't use to be this way. The Dems used the frog idea to get where AZ is. That, and many of the rural areas of AZ are still red.
Do you need to register your guns before moving to Arizona from another state????
Hands down best state in America
Very important to open carry in Arizona. People need to see that second amendment.
I agree everyone should read it, I have no problem with people wishing to carry a gun for protection, my son wants to be a gun owner when he turns 18, that being said I simply choose not to own a gun, but I support his right to do so
Hello, I'm planning some modifications on my mosseburg. I want to add a folding stock. Am I breaking the law? Barrel length is not bieng changed over all the shot gun is not chaning size expect the folding stock.
Great video again bud!, can you do a comparison video with Arizona vs Nevada, taxes, cost of living, weather, all that good stuff I’d appreciate it thanks
Hey man, I will check into that one. Here is one here about Vegas and Phoenix ruclips.net/video/QipZxpxddHg/видео.html
Great video , thanks for the info . Just purchased my first firearm on Black Friday 😀
So I’m turning 18 and I live in Arizona, I’m interested in getting a pistol for personal protection. Is there anything specific I need to know about the buying process?
Im wondering the same thing
You must be 21 or older to purchase a handgun from a licensed FFL.
Augusto Pinochet have a parent but you one.
Hey, you can get gifted one from someone you know
@@arthurmiranda3804 Do you need any training/permits being 18 to open carry?

@Mr.Morris a lot of states have a reciprocity with other states - meaning it’s honored in that state also. There are many web sites...here’s just one you can check

Just bought my first gun at 18 Glock 43x love it ! Az got best gun laws
I just moved to AZ. You mean I can walk into a shop and purchase a gun with no paperwork? I can also carry it on my person without a permit?
No, you can't just walk into a shop and no paperwork is done. In shops you'll have a background check. You can get one from a 3rd party seller, which is easy to find, and yes you can buy off them with no paperwork... but they'll probably check your ID and what not. That's what the guy that I bought mine off of did. And then yes, you can carry openly or concealed without a permit
I’ll buy one for you beautiful
Yes..there's a background check...they can deny you
I live in Arizona , I carry myself a 1911 in 45
Thank You sir! My wife and my family are avid shooters and we hope to move to Sedona from Lincoln Nebraska when we retire! It looks like a gun friendly state!
We plan on visiting family near Phoenix this holiday for a couple weeks. Am I able to purchase a firearm and carry it being a non resident?
You need to have an AZ state ID card. No sales without AZ license or AZ ID card.
Buy a lotto ticked. You have a better chance or winning than being in a gun battle in a two week period.
Please wear a mic ! We're hearing the room's sound louder than your voice ! It's exhausting.... Thank you !
Good evening. I have a question, in the state of arizona. Can an ex felon own a black powder revolver ?? Thank you for your answer.
Could i possibly use a level 1 fingerprint clearence card its the same as a backround check right? Mine is good for the next five years and im turning 21 in a couple of months.
In Arizona, if you have a CCW permit, background checks are not required... just show them your card and immediately purchase your firearm 😊
So what I don’t need a license or anything? I can just order a gun online?
Arizona has very chill gun laws. If in Texas where I live the elections go wrong I’ll move there
Lots of great information here for someone new to Arizona but I just want to clarify, yes you have to complete and pass a background check when buying a firearm from a store, retailer, etc.
Great to hear, my son wants a gun and we are thinking of moving to Az at some point
Thank you for the explanation. It's really a simple and understandable explanation. I really benefited from it
AZ you can't go searching with you flashlight maintain your position if the intruder comes to that position, it's a direct threat.
I’m 22 and if I live in California and go to Arizona for a Gun Show.
Can I purchase and leave with the gun the same day?
Were recreational for weed now so thats a plus plus
Im wanting a bp revolver can yall please help me pick the best 2?
Price size steel frame and brand? Im open to suggestions i just wanna be ready
All gun purchases from a FFL require a background check. If you have a medical pot patient you may NOT PURCHASE a gun
I for one like Arizonia and wished they lived there because they have more sense than Calif
I was brought up as a child at 10 years old my father had weapons on the bed doesn't matter if they're loaded or unloaded you do not touch them unless you ask my dad like I said was a Marine I respect that and honor that nobody touches any weapon unless they ask to pick them up loaded or unloaded I am not a person that picks up anybody else's weapon without asking them first okay I'm been brought up that way
What does, “Arizona still maintains a “shall issue” poliy” mean? If it’s already legal to ccw permit-less.
If you want to conceal carry in other states then you must have a ccw permit. So Az will still issue the permits. Also I think you need the permit to cc in a bar.
Nice and excellent tutorial.you r tutorial method is awesome.thaks for the video
Is it enough that one is a resident of AZ to conceal carry?
If you are 21 you can conceal carry. Just make sure you have your weapons safety course completed
Do you have to be 21 to open carry a handgun?
3:26 uh no that would be Castle Doctrine. I think stand your ground more applies to being out in public.
Tony,
In az the castle doctrine is stand your ground, here in az your vehicle can be your castle, you can stand your ground on what you own.
@Markus Harris yup.
Jeff answer this question for me
Where are the good restaurants???
There is no registration or licensing of firearms in Arizona.
If you can legally purchase a weapon under Federal law.
United States veteran on a non-service connected pension retired. I want to start enjoying myself but I don't want to be left unprotected while camping in nature.
I love Arizona. More lenient than Texas :D
You need a permit 65$ 4yrs. For Conceal carry.
So basically it's ok to drink and own a firearm lol insane no right to discriminate against the disabled I don't think legally cannabis matters at all
Wow
The video is really awesome
I really enjoyed watching videos like this. Thanks for making a video like this. Thank you
I have a question if somebody can please answer this for me.
Hold up. you do NEED a background check. You do NOT need a permit to carry it.
Very informative 👏

You can be killed by someone by a simple punch. The problem with "faced with deadly threat" is that the analysis usuallyhappens AFTER its too late. by the time you find out the bad guy is going to kill you, might be when he has a knife blade 2 inches from your face. Here are my rules: bad guy in my house, and they have a weapon from a bat and above - I am shooting on sight. If they are unarmed I am not shooting, unless they start moving towards me. I am not playing this game on THEIR terms. If a bad guy gets close enough and grabs my gun - it becomes OUR gun at that point.

Me watching this days after they made marihuana legal for everyone over the age of 21.... Wonder how long it will take before the gun laws change.
Has any of us got word of onlinegunpermits com. a few websites mentioned they will help get you a concealed carry permit on the internet in a short while.
What can u tell about Navajo nation or is it a different jurisdiction.?
No open or conceal carry on the rez. If you're transporting in vehicle, I believe the weapon must be unloaded and stored seperately and you must inform the cops if you are pulled over that you have a firearm in the vehicle.
This tutorial is very helpful
