How can we submit portfolio? Thanks :)
How does one determine?
I loved all of them
this would make such a good series great way to discover new designers, get feedback and inspiration
agreed!
Might just have to👀
Respect, showing madd love and giving other designers a spotlight. Salute 🤜🏾🤛🏻
Yes pls
@@JesseNyberg yes please would love for you to review mine im graduating soon 🥹
Love this concept. It highlights talented artists and also allows for some live feedback which is great. I hope to see more videos like this!
Most definitely!
Great fun video
This video was so beneficial for just giving me a standard of where my portfolio should be. Truly helpful
Fernando Pino is killing it.
But most of those other portfolios aren't going to get much client attention tbh.
Your portfolio isn't just a hard drive full of random images. It needs to be organized, purposeful and easy to use. Graphic design 101
You should do more of these!!
As a graphic designer right now in school, seeing these formats and your critiques are really helpful.
You really like those?
Im currently doing alot of research on web and grafic design. And i think those are at most bad examples because they emphasize too much und uniqueness and leave out clear structure and readability of content.
Would you say going for more complex design and taking a d-tour from ux standards is wise in a hompage focused on user interaction?
@@FrizzerLPit would be boring in its clean and readable, interaction is what make sense
Thank you! This was just what I needed before revamping my own website. ⚡
the last one got me chills. the sound fits so goood.
Hey Jesse awesome video! Would love to see more. Could you include links in your bio of the websites you reviewed?
Would be very interested in exploring them. Hope you're having a cute day
You give really good feedback. Really interesting to watch.
this inspired me so so much, ty for sharing all of these!
love it. those portfolio's give me idea. thankyou~
Love how you critique the technical stuff of the portfolio
Appreciate it!
Thanks a lot for including my website in the video and getting such a good feedback! The surname struggle was real too haha

No problem!
Thanks for sharing
!
Duuude these works are crazzy.
YOOO! That big Sean hat Sam thomas made!!!….I personally manufactured the sample to send big Sean for Coachella!! That’s so fuckin sick to see the designer of something I made hands on!!! Fuck I’m subbing!
That's Dope! thanks for subbing boss
Great collection ❤
Awesome video!
I need tutorial of that one you have in your thumbnail thats what i like , thats awesome 🤩
I do love this!!! Thinking about starting and I had no idea what to put in my portfolio
Hey! How's it going?
I'm thinking of starting too and i was wondering if we could share the tips we learned from the videos and references we've seen, this whole thing is overwhelming but i think it'd be nice to talk with someone who's on the same boat as you
@@aur9035 I'd also like this
I do graphics design,UI and UX aswell as website development and I wanted to create a portfolio that covers em all but don't know how to start
Great feedback
Sad you didn't link any of the artists portfolio in the description
Where can we submit design portfolios for review?! Amazing video!
sick video! you should link their websites in your caption next time :)
All of the portfolios are cool, but somehow nothing beats minimalism in the long run especially! Thank you for this great episode! 🙌
Yessir! Glad you enjoyed it
awesome video for a learning student like me. learned alot from professionals too in this video alo ene
Damn seeing these make me feel like I really need to step up my portfolio game… what's your opinion on the % of work displayed that should be personal / client projects?
same
Dope!
that Fernando Pino character is insanely talented. holy shit.
Really appreciate it man thanks for the honest opinion loved the video too! ❤❤
Of Course!
What program can I use to do this in?
would like a link in the description with each persons portfolios but idk
I keep seeing this thing where i think that some works are only appreciated by other designers. Like often times, me as a pretty general enjoyer of design just can't seem to get even slightly into designs that at least a few designers seem to enjoy so much. Do you guy consider work, as it is presented, based on your own inherent biases, based on client-indicated interest, or based on either a niche or trend going on?
Thank you so much this helped a lot!!!! You saved my life
Glad it helped!
I will be honest here. For a baby designer like myself who even got his magistrate in Graphic Design a month ago and now looking for a job, I feel very demotivated looking at such videos because their work is too damn good. Meaning that I feel like my work is shit compared to theirs even though many people love what I do.
Exactly what I feel😢
If you like it then that’s all that matters 🤝
@@rawlstonm97 actually it's ''If the client likes it, then that's all that matters'' :D
it can be extremely demotivating but if anything those feelings just prove that you have the desire to get better. every art form is constantly a process of improving, and sometimes we suddenly dislike a design we thought was incredible the next day, because we constantly have the desire to improve and know we can do better. the fact that you create is something to be proud of by itself :))
Some of these websites just kill their work. Idk i thought people working in graphic design would know the balance of readability/functionality and artistic style
Couldnt agree more. I was looking for actual inspiration but these are too over the top and instead ruins the purpose of a portfolio
Maybe make a video on the types of questions you get asked by clients as a free lance designer?
That might work, I’ll add it to my list of ideas
I really loved your channel! I am not a designer but a programmer. It would be really cool to see a video about your thoughts on AI and its influence in creative process, since now, it seems to be going to a place where people and artists may have to incorporate in their works and learn to dig out.
O kurde, Gonciarz!
5:19 doesn't everyone always say less is more, and if you have a group of like 10 designs and 5 of them a great and the other 5 and just okay then you should only put the great 5 on your portfolio
Lots of nice Brutalist designs in this list!
dude, can you give me some advice.. i just graduated from Graphic Design course and i guess im kinda having doubts or worrying if im not gonna get anywhere any advice like is it normal to feel this way as a beginner?
awesome stuff
Thank you!
First off, the work in pretty much all these is great. I do have issues with what we're seeing here though. The vast majority of this work is inherently "cool" due to the subject matter/sector and therefore the clients in question have very little requirements when it comes to practical design. Essentially, a lot of this work is much closer to "art" than it is functional graphic design. Nothing wrong with that at all, but these portfolios aren't really displaying an array of disciplines to meet specific requirements.
Also, (and this is more of a statement about an art style, rather than these particular portfolios), this wave of lo-fi, mixed-media, nostalgia graphic design (art) leans heavily on repurposing pre-existing assets. If I were an employer I would really struggle to know what was made by the designer and what was simply taken from elsewhere. A great way to show skills in layout, collage and perhaps font selection, but the main attraction to the work can sometimes be attributed to the repurposed asset (an iconic photograph, a beautifully rendered illustration). I wonder what a lot of this work would look like after a lawyer has had their input.
all the work is free game if non-commercial
Great video
Appreciate it!
This is my career
More you can know who want to ask me ?
Can you please do more portfolio review videos?
Planning on doing another way later this year, will announce b fore so people can submit

Much Love!
What the hell how can he have biggie smalls as client?
10:03
anime tutorial like your thumbnail please
sam's work is more like artistic i don't see design here
Damn, he has a lot of complaints which is not even related to the design work
All of this shit look the same to me
Wow... Portfolios have gone way downhill. A lot of garbage. Immature work.
what are you talking about
its not immature its people expresing themselves through a creative media. The industry is evolving get used to it
@@liamclark0141 There is absolutely no new ground here. Devolving is more like it.
link me some good portfolios . I was recently on Linkedin looking at recent design graduates...their work was childish compared to the work presented here in the video.
"Making stuff look printed" Is not good graphic design
None of these are good
i could watch hours of this sir 🫡
Good to know🤘🏻
