We bought our 6 berth , one year old motorhome in July 2019 before covid , owned it for 4 years , did 5k miles in that time and sold it last June' 23 for £10 k more than we paid for it . However at 7.5 m long , it wasnt the most pleasurable vehicle to drive on the road , or god forbid having to park it - you cant drive a vehicle of this size and expect to find a parking space in whatever town or place that we were visiting. I think I sold near the top of the market and have zero regrets selling it after it dawned on me that it was a £50k + asset that sat on our drive way for 40 weeks + in a year.... and lets not forget the annual cost of insurance , the road tax , the hab check , and expensive daily rates to hook up on site etc. There are two major motorhome / caravan dealers very close to us in North Somerset and their forecourts are packed with 100's of new / 2nd hand vehicles. Most of their inventory has been sitting there unsold for last 3- 5 months ..., but salesman says spring / summer is coming and prices will increase .....yeh right !!🤣. Supply post Covid has now caught up and these dealerships have m/homes with window sticker prices north of £55k - £70k for 2nd hand and £80k - £100k+ for new. The UK is now in a recession (as of Feb '24) , high interest base rates that are not going to come come down anytime soon due to current 4% inflation , so wake up and smell the coffee b/c the caravan / motorhome bubble is starting to crash b/c joe public cant afford to buy. Just buy a standard van, insulate and carpet it out yourself, take away bulkhead, rock and roll bed/blowup bed and go explore. Park by beaches, layby lake's, villages, campsites etc, eat out, pub crawl, site see etc. Save yourself 10's thousands of ££££££££. You don't need a 50k camper.
You just need to look at how many Motorhomes are on auto trader, there are almost 10,000 which is the most in I would say 5 years. If you go a stage further and add in the widget that shows you how long and how many discounts that they have applied will show you that the demand has dropped of a cliff. I don’t have an agenda here as I have owned Motorhomes for many years and change regularly, so does not really effect me either way.
There's actually never ever been so many for sale in the UK at one time. My continued daily research is showing even a more crash, than I thought a few months ago. It's dire & dealers, individuals wanting to sell will know their true losses in the near future. I wouldn't advize anyone to buy right now, unless there's a huge deal discount given.
In addition to Autotrader, my research with eBay shows the weekly average of motorhome/camper advertisements during the past 5 months to have been record numbers never ever seen before. The huge majority on a 30day BIN or classified advert being relisted numerous times over. Indeed the only ones of interest being auction sales starting low to gain interest.

Do you think? I’m not sure? New or used?
@@keepitreal1547 I agree you don’t need to convince me. I have seen a few channels talking the market up for a while now and I don’t understand why? The reality and facts are plain to see, the decline in demand has been here for over a year now. I took advantage of it towards the end of the year and got massive discount and extras. I am strangely obsessed with Motorhomes 😂 so have a good insight into what is going on. The stock at Marquise is also telling over a 150 new vehicles in stock, I have bought of them in the past and this level of stock is very very high, I nearly bought a 243 of them but the discount all be in very big was not as good as the deal I got on the Laikia.

When a good friend of mine loses a fortune at the hands of a false market, portrayed by a dealer, I've put huge effort into watching & researching the market for 6 months or so now.
My friend has become unwell due to his experience, he simply didn't have that money to lose & now finds he has no camper, but still a loan to pay (negative equity).
I feel it only right to publish my findings & will continue to do so.
@@keepitreal1547sorry to hear about your friend. He really needs to make amends or take down this video as it flys in the face of all the facts.I have pointed out the real facts that are free to verify but clearly he does not want to acknowledge he is completely and utterly wrong. He says he has insider knowledge and works in the industry, I don’t for one minute believe he does.
Price are already falling especially in the SH market
Not quite sure id describe the motorhome market as crashing though.....
This is a good analysis, thank you. But crikey, the presentation is really distracting. I looked away and just listened to the interesting commentary instead. Please excuse me being honest, but I found the flashing text and continual zooming in jumps most distracting and even sore on the eyes. I'd suggest redoing the video because your content is otherwise good. But I have subscribed to the channel. Cheers.
If you looked back at my other videos Iv never done it before and I would do it again as it received negative feedback back. Thank you for the 2nd chance
@@OnlyVansit received negative feed back as it was inaccurate and poorly researched. Motorhome sales dropped by 9 % in the last quarter of 2023. Marquis have a 150 new motorhomes in stock, this time 2 years ago they had none. 10,000 on auto trader. There is a report Jan 10 by Autovista24 that will confirm that the drop in sales is world wide and the uk is one of the worst. If you are going to do it again please put more effort in. Southdowns have 7 brand new motorhomess still available from 2022 stock.
I think exactly the same price 😮
I think you may be right!
There appears to be somrthing wrong with the focus on your camera!
What do you mean Liam?
This video didn't age well
What you mean mate?
was interested in your video but the choppy zoom thing has made it unwatchable
Thanks for the feedback, tried something a bit different on this one. Seems to be the general consensus. Hope you stick around for the next
Well I’m waiting to buy a Rapido ff600. They are like golddust so someone is doing ok
THink Motorhomes are selling faster than Caravan dealerships
Very irritating zooming in and out multiple times in the same shot. Put me right off the subject.
It is the only time i have ever tried it, wont be doing it again, a lot of people have said similar things to be fair mate
Zooming in and out is annoying, wanted to watch but can't make me feel sick.
Tried something new but probably didnt really work...
70.000 thousand pounds don’t be silly 😜
Hahahahahaa
Yes good video buy don't like the subtitles sorry
Your not the first, and probably not the last. I tried something different on this vide and appreciate the really candid feedback. Will work on it!
I just checked. A Citroen based 21ft with a free solar panel and radio is 70K. A Transit variant is 5-10K more. And winter is coming ! Prices are not crashing on the continent.
And i don't think they will..... no drop next year i reckon!!
why do you have a face filter on not good
A face filter?
They starting to fall £££££⏬⏬ like skittles, greedy dealers, your day is over. 😅😅😅😅😅😅😀😀😀😀
Think it is more difficult for caravans than motorhomes to be honest
Jesus mate can’t you keep your hands still..they’re all over the place like a demented flea …
Noted, tried something different
I found your vlog interesting, but I'm sorry, those subtitles are like something from an 80s pop video and really annoying.
Thanks for the feedback Raymond. Tried something a bit different on this but your opinion is something which seems to be the general consensus. Hope you stick around for the next one
that constant zooming in and out on the camera is awful
Fair point. Never done it before. Won’t be doing it again.
Very long story short... no he doesn't think it will.

Your motorhomes are way too expensive. Good luck with them.
I know tell me about it!
Those awful flashing words on the screen. Couldnt watch. Wont watch again.
I do apologise, tried something new. Didn’t go down great. Won’t do again
OK, thanks, awaiting your next with interest.@@OnlyVans
