It was lovely to meet you both, fabulous weekend at a wonderful site 👍🏻 Hopefully we’ll catch up again soon. Sending our best wishes to you, Keith & Michele.
If you like a longer walk or cycle behind Silverhill following the old railway line route you will find Pleasley Pit Colliery Headstock, well worth a visit! Even better on live steam days
Very useful information again Bob and Jenny. It looks like a nice site. We've never come across water taps 'underground' before, not sure what to think about that. It looks awkward to connect to ? Thanks again to Jenny for last year in re-checking the cost of our Skye ferry crossing for us. We thought we'd made a mistake but not at all. Thank you Jenny, We had the most fabulous time. Dave and Soph xx
I was there for new year and the top of the hill opposite was a great place to see the new year in and watch the fireworks all around! Quite a few locals there too.
Hi Bob,Jenny, Poppy and Tara, it does look a nice site, Teversal isn’t too far from us at Edwinstowe, think I’ll add this one to my book remembering the name change, looked a good and nice walk up the hill to the miner statue, not done that walk before. Did you say the walk is across the road from the site Bob ? x
Very useful video I was thinking of booking for few nights next week and noticed your video I like the site seems ideal for autumn and winter with the hard standing areas they are currently doing discount for over 60 so solo traveller like myself works out around 15 a night including electric which is good
We went there on our first trip away in Iris our Chausson in 2018 with Grankids, your arrival was better than ours (pre MH Sat Nav) we ended being taken off M1 towards Hardwick Hall which turned into a very narrow single track road (I did a video how not to arrive at Teversal) we were just down from kids play area, looks like dog walk field has been turned into statics area
Hint for those approaching this site from the north-westerly side of the M1 - join the M1 somewhere and get off at J28 exactly as Bob does in this video. If you follow satnav it could very well take you to the Campsite but via the back roads - basically where Bob turned off to enter the site, the road continues onwards onto a VERY tight country road with steep, high-sided verges with very few passing places, and ends up at the Hardwick Inn.
We have been numerous times as we have family near by. The very first time we went we were on the same pitch as you are on now, probably around 2003/4 and it was called Shardaroba I seem to remember, then the club took it on as a franchise. We last went in May 2021 but it was so busy, we felt hemmed in and my husband had to move his car twice to let people onto the pitch opposite, we were round the other side near the play park which we don't like doing. We had already decided not to go back due to lack of space when full of cars, but we hadn't realised it was no longer a member of the cc club. Looking for another and are thinking of the one you went to that had just opened but can't remember the name at moment.
We sent to traversal a few years ago and although it was a ccc site it was a franchise so technically not owned by the club The pot holes were a nightmare then and we hit one with caravan and had a puncture on our twin axle so had to call the AA out Fortunately our caravan came with a spare
I'm going to Teversal in March and the prices have changed. They are also charging for dogs now. £1 per day. I'm disappointed with that. Love your videos. Take care Christine xxx
Hi both, I’d just like to say how much I enjoy your videos and your channel is my very favourite. We are staying at Somers Wood for the N.E.C show weekend, so wondering if you are staying there also as it would be nice to say hello.
Hi Bob and Jenny , I am on my first campervan and at the moment I have it mothballed and drained down for the winter . However , I notice that yourselves and a few others are out camping at this time of year so I am wondering how you still manage to use your van on the salted roads and icy nights without the water freezing . Apollogies if you have gone over this before .
Thanks for the question. Well, first of all, it's not always freezing, average winter temperatures in England are probably around 6-10 degrees. Secondly the Alde heating inside the motorhome is very efficient. My fresh water and waste tanks have tank heaters to stop the water freezing. I have a thermal blanket to protect the Aquaroll if I use it and I empty the Wastemaster regularly. It's not that difficult. Usually the roads are gritted, so most places are accessible. It's the best time to travel! Have a look at ruclips.net/video/45nnlthbuSU/видео.html
Looks a nice site, great dog walks, fairly lucky with the weather by the looks of it 😎 I’m not very keen on the unisex facilities idea I have to say 😚 Especially when the cubicles are not flush to the ceiling 😟 I’d feel a bit uncomfortable with that personally, but maybe it’s just me 😊 Jenny, you haven’t aged at all, what’s you’re secret? One good thing about the site changing name, Mrs SatNAG might not struggle so much 🤭 Enjoyed the vlog, thanks for sharing xx
That would make a good collaboration Bob , saying why you got into vlogging . We follow several caravan and Mh vloggers and often wonder how you started this and how many hours you put in ( lots in your case we think ). Also we always say we would love to know what people do or did for a living and a bit more about them also be good on another collaboration.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo yes very true , maybe an option either what they did or do for a living or their main interest outside caravanning or Motorhomes? Just seems most of you have a specific skill ( yours seems to be on the technical side , maybe computers … or telecommunications?? ) Would just be a nice insight if people were happy to share their story but obviously fully understand some would rather not .
Looks like a lovely site but we would be put off by the unisex arrangement for the shower rooms. Looks like they have left and right, so why not keep them male and female ? The facilities look very good too. Thanks for showing us around, we would enjoy the walk up to the monument too. Safe travels 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev n Sue
Thanks for sharing Bob & Jenny bought back memories that was my first ever site I went to in my Motorhome November 2018. Skye was in her element with the walks across the road.👍😎
We went there last early May bank holiday. At the time the showers and toilets were closed, I had no idea they were unisex. We enjoyed cycling although I has some trouble with my brakes. Take care Gill
Well bob haven’t been keeping up with yourselves lately been busy in work but enjoy your blogs when I can nice to see you and good wife are enjoying your travels still catch up with again stay safe
Coincidentally Bob, we just booked this for a 5 day stay an hour ago! Looks a nice site, although we find the unisex toilet block unusual. Couldn’t see much lighting around the site - what’s it like around the pitches ? Another great vlog as usual Regards Howard
We stayed there bob few months ago also local chippy will deliver to site very handy The dogs walk very pleasant great little site.Toilet shower block well nice Enjoy stay nice that you uploaded video Stay safe regards rolf marivel baby ayesha and chance staffi
Enjoyed watching the sunny journey to the site and the walk to the highest point afterwards. Unfortunately one of my dogs eats poo if given the opportunity. Drives me up the wall lol. Wasn't sure about the unisex toilets but I've got to say they did look quite nice and clean too.
Hello 👋 Not sure if the new “primary private” owners will lose any - sleep 💤 over the CCC not renewing the franchise with them to be honest !! The toilets 🚽 and shower blocks looked amazing. I work for a: “Super Major Oil Company” in London and the toilets that they have are in the same league - and, I know how much it cost to get the black marble installed in the shower and toilet rooms in London !! It was not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. I would think the CCC are losing out on that deal - as that site looks well established and extremely clean, and well maintained. The cost for the stay was also reasonable compared to what you guys normally pay 💰!! Thanks 🙏 Take care 😷
The sign in the toilet block said "the whole site will be rebranded as Silverhill Woodland Retreats." They still seem to have a separate Teversal campsite website, which is a bit confusing.

Yes, just across the roads, several nice walks including a woodland walk.
Love the dog walks and the dog shower would be very useful too. Thanks.

There are a few of them including Ashbourne site another privately owned site

@@joanspriggs1498 the same owners as before, but no longer franchisees. Don't think they're in a group.

Someone else in these comments managed to book for March, try www.teversal-campsite.com/
Lovely video
Also bladon chains has closed
Blenheim palace wanted the land back
God knows what they will do with it

I guess the market has expanded so much there's no need for the extra marketing by CCC.
Your going to Teversal site, Welcome to the Ashfield pot holes
Yes, they were dreadful.
Silver hill is the country park across the road, it’s not the campsite.
The sign in the toilet block said "the whole site will be rebranded as Silverhill Woodland Retreats." They still seem to have a separate Teversal campsite website, which is a bit confusing.
the new site fees are cheap
