  • Modified these to run on my layout, added yellow LED lights, and front pilot supports. The Santa Fe James Gang 6-1053 was made in 1980-1982 and the Redwood Valley 6-1403 in 1984.
    These are not Sets the way they came from Lionel. I bought just the cars I wanted for each Train the way I liked them and went from there on my project of Lionel Generals.

    I’ve always wanted to get one of these and turn it into a Disney World locomotive. Maybe someday. I really like what you’ve done with yours. I’ve never tried hooking up a bridge rectifier to a DC motor before. Now that I’ve seen your video, I may give it a try. Have a great weekend. Bob.

    Hello Steve, Fantastic these two American 4-4-0 steam locomotives with these very nice trains. The scene with the horses being loaded is great. The red Santa Fe locomotive is particularly beautiful. Thank you for the excellent video and your explanation of the two locomotives. I wish you a nice weekend and best regards Wolfgang

    Cool! If you want to keep some of the cars from being so loose and wobble, add a C or E clip inside under the truck rivet.
    If the cars do have plastic wheels then they cane be used on 2 rail O gauge trains as well. The early Atlas O gauge scale was designed for two rail, and their coupler will mate with Lionel type coupler, but also still they had the large flange on their wheels, but could run on normal tubular track or the solid rail track. Gargraves works well for both...

    • @stevesoscaletrainchannel.1901
      @stevesoscaletrainchannel.1901  5 месяцев назад

      The source for the speaker was my MTH General type steamer. I have it recorded under voice memos on an old phone. Some have used online train sounds. Thank you for your feedback.
