Very nice sets. Nice job on the RI passenger cars. I have all the same sets. I've always been fond of the Black, red, and white RI paint scheme. I have the Marx E7's, Williams BL-2S, Lionel RS-3, and K-line MP-15'S in this same paint scheme.
I very much enjoyed this video. I have a few of these also. I have the anniversary set and the all silver set and I also have the Rock Island AA units. I ended up putting tinfoil on the top of the inside of the roof to hopefully divert the heat. I like these a lot. Very good runners. I like your rock island passenger cars. I love these post-war sets! I took two silver 2023s that were practically just yellow plastic and made a B&O Sunburst and C&O Freight set out of them. The Erie FA-2s seemed to hold up better.
Your custom rail line is really cool. Nice job and now you have something special that was never produced. I do that on a regular basis making custom trains the way I like them. Original one are nice but special Lionel customized trains gives me more to do than just running them.😊
Excellent video. I've always liked the 2000 series Lionel Alcos. The postwar horns sound great too! Question: your 2033 has a thin black stripe at the bottom of the body ... was that a post factory addition?
