@@KevinT707 I need to finish up a comparison video but if the dimensions will fit in your car, the LiperiAir 6,000 3s provided outstanding performance. I have tested 3 LIPOs in that line and they were all very strong. If you have more money to spend, SMC’s 150c line is amazing. The 150 c 6500 mAh was a beast! How man cell battery are you looking for? The 35c I was talking about was a Sypom but sadly I don’t think they are made anymore. I also tested a Liperior 50c that is slightly faster than my Gens Ace Redline drag lack (which is really quick). That specific Lipeior is sadly no longer made. I have a few others I am getting ready to test in the next week or two. Stay away from the Lipeior Endurance line.
Battery numbers remind me of car audio amplifiers. You have to use the manufacturer tests to get their numbers, and those have no real world applications! Keep up the great work my friend. 😊✌️
Maybe we should make a public spreadsheet where people can calc c by measuring the ohm. If enough people provide data we can see trends with batteries models. Together we can beat the marketing lies. All hobbies unite!!!
@@RCexplained Yes that's why I thought that I we can gather a lot of data, we don't have very accurate data but we can see trends between the different batteries.
Awesome,, would you please also test HRB premium 100C, and HRB Graphene 100C if you got them. Also, it would be good to explain what difference this makes for user put in simple words. Is the airplane going to be slower or is power going to drop quicker, or flight time is going to be shorter.. etc. Being a bit warm battery may not be a concern for many users. My main concern is longer flight time with stable good power. I have used 2200 mah Lipo of prime brand which gives equal flight time of HRB 3300mah, and more flight time than other unknown brands of 3600mah, but also their price are at least double of HRB. Thus I consider HRB is one of the best value for money for average user. Finally, what are the other batter battery packs around the same price point you have seen or know about. This will help the audience to know the difference and choose what suits their needs and budget. Thank you so much for the useful content.
Hey I’ve been using HRB lipo batteries for a while now and been happy with them in my RC boats. Your Video makes me wonder if I have been happy with a sub standard battery because I didn’t know any better… what brand of battery have you found to have real C ratings if any? Thanks Pete
Thanks for destroying my nice thoughts about this HRB battery which I use in bother prop and EDF’s but most importantly showing data on your findings of which we all know that C rating’s need an industry standard 👍 great work in exposing the truth
Awesome content, I would like to see SMC batteries and RC Hackers put to the test. Also what about spectrum on the other end of the spectrum lol I actually didn't mean to do that lol
@@RCexplainednah you gotta warm them up a little. all mine have higher IR at nominal and room temp but I push them to 160A/20C all the time. they drop to 3.5v under load and get to around 130f.
30C means you will run flat your battery in 2 (two) minutes!!!!! No use for that. I expect to run for at least 15 minutes, so it is 4C on average. 20C is 5x the average to take into account the peaks (very short time). No need more, and anyway over than that it is beyond the capability of the chemistry. C ratings on label are meaningless.
Excellent batteries This kind of testing is daft imo, if the battery is the right price, good punch, good run times, then take no notice of these kind of tests I've got 8x 4s 6000mah 60c HRB and they are the best 4s lipos in this price range I've EVER had, and I've tried them all,(cheap brand ones) I've brought over the years at least 30 to 35 4s packs, and the HRB are the best value BY FAR So imo these videos are not worth the while This is just my opinion, and my personal findings HRB good Zee also good Youme decent Goldbat so so, but mostly not great DXF the 2 I've got, junk Zop hit and miss Turnigy decent Cnhl good Hoovo, again the 2 I've got, junk For consistency the HRB and zee are the best imo, with cnhl and youme in a close second
Many consider them to be the best. They make some top quality batteries that perform very well. Little known that they are actually made in the same factory as SMC.
I do have them, for everyday use they were great. Never went over 45 degrees, performance wise they are ok ish. Your numbers are scary.... in a high performance application you wouldn't run this anyway if you have a bit of common sense. For the price an light bashing they are ok for me.
i guess you have never heard of Joshua Bardwell? he covered this extensively with his own battery testing design and yea c rating is bs. it is now common knowledge.
Not knowing someone's spreadsheet is one thing and fine. But still believing in the c-rating lie after so many years of lipos on the market is just...well,just stupid!
Great video. I have tested "35 C" LIPOs that smash "100C" LIPOs. There are so crazy embellished C ratings out there for sure!
Care to shed some light on these secret lipos. I'm here to find the best bang for buck. K, thx!

Yep, that's very true! Thank You for the comment!
so this is why traxxas seem to have low C ratings 25c on their pack becaus its the meassured rating and not some theory number?
@@extec101 I think Traxxas C ratings are much closer to real numbers than most manufacturers for sure.

I like the idea, not sure how we would standardize the measurements without having the control in place. There's a lot of factors to consider.

I've had good luck with Turnigy Graphene packs, but if you follow along we will be testing more packs over the next year.
On my lipotester it saying 14c at 24 degrees heat, and cells at 4.19 - 4.20 - 4.19 3s
Interesting!

Thanks for sharing. I still use these packs in a high performance EDF jet. The price and weight are great! Performance, yep it sucks.
Been awesome if you could try the gens 11000mah 100c packs . They have been awesome for me.
Are these in a speed run car? 11K mAh are huuuge.

lipo chemistry is capable of 20c-30c continuous. you should consider them all to be this.

If you don't need performance they work fine!
If its such a bad lipo why does it beat a gensace?
I haven't tested a gensace battery and because of this I cannot confirm the difference in performance under significant load.
25C maybe?)😅
Edit: a little positive 🤭
Yep, good guess though. It's a lot more realistic than the 60C on the label.
Are Onyx the best on the market?
Definetly not! So far SMC are among the best throughout every lipo they offer!
