- Since 2006, about 55,000 Burmese refugees have been resettled in the United States. Many of them came from a camp in Thailand that helps prepare for the culture shock of life in America. Seth Doane reports on one family's remarkable journey.
I work in America with several of these refugees that came from burma. They are some of the nicest and hard working people I’ve ever met.
Thank you America!
From Siberia/Mongolian to Myanmar for better life. Myanmar to Thailand and become a refugees. I pray for my people everyday. I know we crossed the whole Asian continent for a better life but it’s even worser to become a refugees. We are not Burmese. We are Karen people the Mongolian and Siberian(Tungus, Yukaghir) ethnicity.
Oh my god! I wish all people in Myanmar going to trip to Mexico
I wish tell them "good luck."
We f r c holders suffering last 60 years without basic rights nobody talks for us when there are so many organisations
The Thai refugee camp is no longer receiving the support it used to receive. declining food supply; There is a decline in schooling support and a reduction in medical support.
Poor education. Young people like me who want higher education usually end up in 12th grade. They are not allowed to go outside the camp to study in order to go to university. Young people like us have no right to make dreams come true except to dream. Therefore, we hope to implement a plan to move to a third country as soon as possible.
In hospitals, there are children and elderly people who are dying because there are no medicines like before. During 2023-2024, due to the intensification of Myanmar's civil war, many refugees are coming to refugee camps in Thailand.

They are not burmese Lol
Yes they are. Rohingyas lived in peace in Arakan Kingdom before the British colonisers arrived and ruined everything for all Burmese people. Had the British not bribed the Rohingyas during WWII, the situation for the Rohingyas would not be this bad.
Courtesy of the American taxpayer.
if we can shell out 800 billion a year on killing 1 trillion on a jet fighter then we can do a few billion on simply letting people live in peace and they will contribute more in there life time then what it will cost to bring them in
