Great video. I was wondering about the temp offset - I have the same machine. That is a HUGE Wellington!

LOL, I didn't realize it until I tried to wrap the puff pastry. I had to use a second piece and then cover the seam with one of those strips. Thanks for watching the video!

Excellent review - particularly regarding the temperature differentials. I've never bothered to check any appliance for this, so I suspect it's a common situation and not just limited to this product. I'm most concerned about the heat on the outer surface - we have a small Cuisinart that is cool to touch on the top even when air frying.

Thank you for your kind feedback. It does get pretty warm on the outer surface but I put my plates on top so it's like a plate warmer as well as keep my other food (already cooked) warm.

Thanks Raymond. Reading always helps,. however, I was still concerned about starting a fire, having recently lost everything in one, thru no fault of mine.

Smart all home ovens have hot and cool spots. Also use a quick read thermometer to check doness on poultry.

Agree. The thermometers were more to show the degree of variation you can expect. Like you said, quick read thermometer are super helpful. I did a 7 pound prime rib in this air fryer and it came out pretty good. Here is a link if you are interested: ruclips.net/video/B2-jBZOnmqQ/видео.html

To cover the crumb tray, try taking out the crumb tray and place a sheet of aluminum foil just a bit larger than the tray and fold in the borders. You must be able to place the tray without problems. I wonder how well will fit a Lodge 5qt cast iron dutch oven inside of it? Placing the largest pan you can will be a really nice add to the video. I am still looking for the "perfect oven" but there is always one thing that disappoint me. I will keep checking this one and see if finally found the "Perfect One".

After I made the video, I had the same thought as your suggestion. I put a pretty large glass casserole dish in there but a new problem I encountered was that the rack would only support 20 pounds +/- so the cast iron dutch oven may be too heavy. I think the unit could support it but would need to find a very sturdy rack that fits into the slots.

I was able to put my 12” Lodge cast iron skillet in with the handle angled.

@@melaniephilipp8417 did you notice any sag in the basket frame? I will be trying a 10# prime rib next...fingers crossed.

Warning: Some oven do not support the use of aluminum foil, specially the ones with Air Fryer / conduction capabilities. So please be careful!

I just bought this oven today at Costco...while reading the manual it says not to use aluminum foil...not sure why! That being said, parchment paper is a good alternative for both the crumb tray and baking pan!

Yeah I just saw it. Just to note that's a 6 bread slice one and this costco one is the XL version for 12 bread slice. So it's much bigger if you need the size.

it definitely does not seal as well as the basket style but the trade off is you cook a lot more at a time.
