The best way for an e- bike getting stolen is not to buy one.......
Very helpful thank you sir 😊
thank you for the kind feedback.
It should be obvious to you to remove the pedals & take the battery with you when you lock your Lectric bike. After doing so, all you have left is a kind of heavy, regular bike with no pedals. Isn't the entire idea to make YOUR bike a less attractive target? The quick-release pedals is one of the main features of this bike that have it on my short list.
I actually brought a alarm for mine from Amazon as well... its a good idea 👌
Agree. I have a video that talks how my bike got stolen and then did some research on lock options. Couple of locks that I discussed also have alarm feature built in so that is definitely a plus. However, all this is predicated on people willing to stop thieves when they see something out of whack. Safe riding!
Always lock your lock with the keyhole facing towards the ground
Ah, thank you for sharing!
😅 tr
That's crazy 😧
That extra $0.10 CRV threw my budget so it’s a no go for me. Haha.
By the way, you can get an electric bolt cutter. They are very effective & compact. Even a child can use it with ease.
I saw, "lets just say a person", riding a bike with a cordless grinder. Not good!
@@tai.randomthingslet's hope they encountered a skunk lock or a hiplok that destroys the grinder wheel and just gave up to do something honest like deliver food.
Hey, love your channel for the info/guidance - can you provide the link to the freewheel removal tool? I have a servicing kit I bought a while ago, but doesn't seem any of the freewheel tools will work on the one attached to my XPremium.
Hi, thank you for your kind words. Here is a link to a similar tool that I used. The one I used is currently not available but from the photo, this one looks the same. Best of luck! www.amazon.com/VANICE-Freewheel-Lockring-Compatible-Freewheels/dp/B08N6934H3
Why didn’t you show how to use the video camera ? Like inserting the usb card and all.
That would have been a good idea but I didn't think of it at the time. Sorry.
Two words: angle grinders.
Skunk and hip lock will destroy angle grinder wheels. Watch videos on a guy using 5 wheels going at em for 15 minutes. Course yeah they can cut other things but hopefully you or someone noticed after all the noise.
Thanks for this Video! Just got 2 Toto UltraMax II 1 piece as well. Just need to find time to install them =)
nice...good luck!
You can store the visor UPSIDE-DOWN on the helmet. The included tinted visor put a blue or green hue to the pictures and videos. I have a yellow tinted visor for at night, also from Amazon.
yes, i normally don't ride with the visor down except when I know I am going be riding through a swarm of nats by the river. A yellow one would be nice for those rides at Dusk and I have to have it down for the nats. Thanks for sharing!
The thing I see, is you don’t have the lock attached to more than one of the bike rack and your cable chain is loose. With the cable chain not pulled tightly, it can easily be pulled out and bolt cutters or a grinder will make short work of the cable. Then they ride off with your bike lock around the frame and cut it off later. Your wheels should be secured with a pinheaded locking skewer in place of the quick release on your wheels and seat post. That prevents someone loosening the quick release on the wheels and post and stealing them. Additionally, you can have a lock on your calipers with an alarm. This immobilizes the wheels from turning, so they will have to lift the entire bike with an alarm going off on both tires. I notice you didn’t remove the battery as well.
all very helpful tips, thanks for sharing!
Scholars everywhere need a bike to get to class.
they do, just not my bike
@tai.randomthings well I totally understand that but the scholars never had a father to set them straight so they grow up criminals
Wasn’t a fan of this whiskey. Lacks complexity
It's definitely on the mellow side
I find that cooking meat in this air fryer takes a long time. Is that your experience?
it's definitely noticably longer than the drawer style. It doesn't seal as well.
Even if you lock your bike to the bike rack they’ll just cut the rack, it’s much quicker and easier than attacking the lock. If I can’t lock mine to a piece of metal thicker than a grinder wheel I’m not leaving it there, I have a Hiplock DX1000 (wheel to frame) and an Abus chain and insurance lock from my motorbike (frame to solid pole) and I still wouldn’t leave my Vado 5.0 IGH alone for long.
I totally agree. I take my bike into the public bathroom with me. I want to try a Hiplock, that may be my next purchase. One thing I noticed was they are quite small, do that have a bigger version that can lock over large tubular steel?
@@tai.randomthings It’s one size fits all I’m afraid, they’re not tiny but they’re really made to go through motorbike wheels to stop them being wheeled off but they market them for e-bikes for extra sales. The problem with bicycles is they’re easy to pick up and walk off with so a chain/hiplock combo is essential, I have an e-bike and a motorbike so the double purchase makes sense for me. If I only had an e-bike I’d go with a hefty chain as it provides more options, they weigh a tonne but with an e-bike you don’t really notice.
Lock it in different parts of bike separately, dont put the 2 locks together. I wouldn't leave out for long .
@@tai.randomthings The DX1000 is bigger than the D1000.
A nice scotch at a great price. I get short bread cookies and honey, again a must buy for under $30
Others have commented the same and totally agree on the pricepoint!
thanks for the video. i bought a 12mm chain and a disc lock for the rear wheel with an alarm. it was your demonstration of trying to cut the chain that convinced me.
Thank you for your kind feedback. Its a shame that we have to go to extraordianry efforts to protect our own property. Also, remember grinders can cut through almost anything so we still have to be mindful of that. Happy and safe riding!
how do you like the toilet 2 years later?
Love it...no issues with the toilet but my after market bidet doesn't fit perfectly so it can get stuck down sometimes.
@@tai.randomthings nice I just bought it. Does it ever clog
I got 30 with pas 5
Nice!
Just grabbed this at wallyworld for 90 beans.. 👊😎💰⚡️don't cook bacon on the wire basket.. way too smoky..😮😅😅😅 plus PLUG IN OUTSIDE AND PUT IT ON HIGH for an hour or so.. FIRST BURNING of the oven will put off a NASTY SMELL. WASH EVERYTHING before using.. lovin it 👊😎⚡️
That was awesome, came out great too
Thanks!
this Scotch is good stuff for the price. I get Shortbread cookies and berries.
Nice! At first, I was taken back by the initial blast of sharpness but then it mellows out nicely. I feel it's a good value.
I just tried it tonight. I’m well along my whisky journey, and Lowland scotch whiskies really float my boat. The cereal and grain flavors of this bottling lead the way. And the 46% ABV really helps it deliver the flavors. The sherry is a modest topcoat that doesn’t get in the way. I wish they hadn’t used such a heavy hand on the E151A caramel colorant, however . Overall, a really good bang for the buck.
That is fantastic feedback! Thank you
You’re Damn right I have 3 alarms and kryptonite chain with two U locks with my AirTag and old iPhone with Alfred alarm watching 24/7 built in since my first bike was stolen like yours unfortunately but I’m going to register the serial numbers with the local police dept ASAP! Thanks again for the info 👍
Sorry to hear you went though the same thing. I still have PTSD from it.
sorry but i totally disagree with you first you bought the cheapest crapest lock both the U lock and the cable can be cut witha bolt cutter, so first thing get a sold secure rated lock i have two gold rated ones. if you dont want to spend nearly 200 quid on a lock then you deserve to have your bike niked.
Hi boss, very informative video. What lock would you recommend, would chain lock took theft a lots of time to break. I just want to … say a theft trying to break my lock, he's gonna have a hard time doing so. If you got any recommendation plz let me know tks boss
Hiplok is the only one I've seen where a grinding wheel has a hard time. Kryptonite makes some good heavy duty ones as well. that's what I carry. I can't see myself buying a $300 hiplok. However, I did stash an airtag on my bike for recovery purposes.
@@tai.randomthings tks, an airtag seem like a reasonable purchase as well. I have decided to go for U lock thanks to your video. Aprreciate it mate.
And you guys can show me who I can talk to
if you bought your XPremium from Lectric, you should be able to ask their tech support directly.
Please I have x premium and the pedal assist is not working, even when I shift to 5 it like on 1 so I can’t ride it now
hmmm...how's the magnet on the rear spoke? Is it still there?
Great video. question. Do you have to hit the middle button to answer a call? Can't you just use your voice and say answer call?
In the updates, you are suppose to be able to use voice commands..."Hey Sena", however, I have not gotten that feature to work. I think I need a firmware update.
@@tai.randomthings I also noticed that if I am listening to music and I start the intercom feature the music shuts off. Can’t we listen to music while having the intercom turned on and if we talk it just mutes the music?
Friend, tighten the straps on the helmet. Also answer the phone via the phone button on the helmet.
I would not recommend Tannus Armour. I took my e-MTB on a trip to explore offroad in Zimbabwe in May this year. The first day I got a puncture after just 3kms, and the second day I got just 4kms before a flat, both times having to push the bike back to camp. I will rip them out and throw the inserts away as soon as I've decided what to use in their place. It wasn't a thorny area, just animal tracks in 'normal' terrain.
I'm sorry that happened to you on your emtb. Are you running tubeless? I have them on my lectric, which i ride on the roads and 1500 miles later, no problem. I also have them on my specialized emtb but it's with tubes. I have a couple hundred miles and haven't had a problem yet. I am considering putting them in my Orbea Wild with tubeless set up but I am not clear how they help a tubeless tire so I haven't done it yet.
Nice video! Very informative. Are you still using this helmet? I see there is a newer version called M2. I just bought an e-bike and am looking for a smart helmet
I do still use it. I have two different styles. This one I use when I ride on city streets. I have a different one I use when I mountain bike and ride with my friends and family because it has a walkie talkie option.
Thanks for posting this you helped a lot of people. Thanks
Glad it was helpful. Happy riding!
how long does it take to patch the hole??
for the little holes, my experience is that it happens while you ride. Don't really even know until you stop and see all the green spots on your tire.
dream car right here lovely video
thank you...it was a fun drive
Thank you! Great video. I'm just trying to start shopping. Have a Tacoma w/ a 5 ft bed. I can't imagine trying to lift bikes onto a rack. That will just not work.
I love that ramp. It's the best thing ever. It can be a little steep so keep your hands on the brake so you don't slip. I also use it to help me move all kinds of things, like a refrigerator!
I just received my 3.0 e-bike Saturday and after riding it for four days with my wrists and hands going numb and tingling I was feeling I made a big mistake buying it! I saw many youtube videos showing ways to deal with the handlebars but yours was the best and easiest to do! I’m a 73 years-old, 5 foot grandma and I thank you for your post on youtube!!!
Thank you for such kind words. Hope it works out because it's a great way to get outdoors. Happy riding!
Great video! I have a XP1.0 that I have put a little over 2000 miles to commute to my job year round. As I am limited to Class 2 in Canada, the clown pedalling effect is not too bad but I still have been considering this upgrade just to get a bit more resistance at higher speeds. I have also watched many posts on how to do this and IMO yours is the best! Well explained, well filmed, and nicely paced. Thanks.
Thank you for the kind feedback. It's a simple modification and I think makes a world of difference. Happy riding to 3000 miles!!!
Nice you explication, thank you I buy one
I am glad it helped. I don't see them on Lectric's website anymore but I think you can pick up an used one very cheap. I love mine but my wife not as much. It has a real bike feel but you have to pedal. Gives me a good workout while going 20+ mph. Good luck
Ultimately, there is no way to protect a bike. Even when locked up correctly, you can come back and find the bike stripped. Frequently, especially downtown, the druggies have done so much collateral damage, the rest of the bike is a write-off.
unfortunately true...thanks for sharing
the anti twist on the ulock kept my work bike from getting stolen they gave up after cutting one side def recommend
good to know, thank you for sharing
Excellent demonstration and explanation of what I NEED to do! I'm 5' 3" and love my XPremium for the long rides I take. But I'm so over the aching arms & shoulders and having to constantly shake my arms out while riding. This video was absolutely the best and cannot wait to do this! Off to find my allen wrenches!! THANK YOU!!
Glad it helped...happy riding!
Love this car. ❤🥹 will be getting mine very soon. Thanks for sharing 👍🏽
nice!

Now I know what you mean
I have a noise coming out of my crank shaft, do you have any ideas on what it might be?
Can you describe the noise? Check if your crank is loose. Mine fell off one time while I was riding. But it would be more of a wobbly feel than a noise.
@@tai.randomthings Oh hey thanks for responding. Ill make a video of what its doing/ sounding like tomorrow and Ill post it to my channel. I literally cant find it anywhere on YT. Its basically a brand new bike it has 300 miles on it, ive only used it a few times but I had a flat tire about 5 miles from the house. Im afraid pushing it home might have done something to the motor is what im thinking it is now :(
@@tai.randomthings Hey Tai, I posted a video on my channel showing what the bike is doing, it uploaded as a Short, it's my only one, let me know what you think
Have you or anyone you know figured out a quick disconnect solution for those cargo baskets? I'm sure you're aware that they don't fold well with them installed and constantly installing and uninstalling the screws are a major annoyance.
Someone once suggested using finger bolts. I've haven't personally tried but it worth a consideration. Hope that helps
