    Thank you this really helped me. I just bought this air fryer and reading instructions make my head spin! So I'm so glad you made it so simply. 🥰

    I've been a chef for 26yrs, majority of automated temp and time cooking appliances will finish cooking when the item of food is 80-90% cooked. carryover cooking into your mealtime calculations is that it’s not an exact science. Unlike baking, which is a bit more precise, carryover cooking on the grill gives you far more wiggle room.
    However, you can count on a few consistencies when it comes to planning for carryover cooking:
    Thin meats will have far less carryover cooking than thicker cuts of steak. A thin chop’s internal temperature may only slide up one or two degrees Fahrenheit after you take it off the grill. On the other hand, a large chunk of protein’s carryover could exceed 10 degrees Fahrenheit.
    Carryovers tend to be more pronounced when you’re cooking hot and fast. If you’re babysitting a brisket low and slow for hours, you’re probably not going to see much of a carryover.
    The carryover cooking period is finished after about 15-20 minutes. Therefore, you can expect the internal temperature of the meat to begin declining after resting for 15 minutes. s
    You’ll want to remove the meat from your smoker or grill when the meat is about five degrees Fahrenheit less than desired. For instance, if you want your T-bone to be medium rare and 130 degrees Fahrenheit at plate-time, cook it until it registers 120-125 degrees Fahrenheit.
    If you’re going to maximize carryover cooking, remove the meats even earlier and tent them with foil. The foil tent helps the carryover last longer and can add several degrees to the meat’s internal temperature.
    Don’t expect much carryover if you slap a grilled steak onto a cold platter. Thanks to science and the laws of thermodynamics, the platter will steal away a lot of heat, and you won’t get as much carryover magic.

    Thanks for showing me that because I didn't even understand the pause button and when I tried to cook something using that pan when I wanted to use the air fryer things didn't work out so well. At least I understand the buttons a little more and what to do. Why I thought I needed this fancy one I'm not sure. It's just me.

      I've had my air fryer for a year and just recently started using it because I was afraid of it. Isn't that ridiculous?

    • @morganskitchen2415
      @morganskitchen2415  2 года назад +2

      Don't be afraid. It's a little overwhelming at first, but once you cook in it you'll want to do it all the time!

      @@morganskitchen2415 i don't understand why it smoke so bad when I use the air fryer setting.
      I put it on 350° for maybe 10 mins to air fry some shrimp or anything. And when I go back in the kitchen its smoky.
      My last air fryer use to do the same thing so I never used it on the air fryer setting.

    Spray frozen patties with a little avocado oil cooking spray and add seasoning. It will add flavor as well as help the edges crisp up nicely during cooking.

    Hi. Ive never had an air fyer before. Looking to buy one. All the recipes that i see are in the bucket type air fryer. Would you follow the temps and cook times exactly as the bucket type of fryer? Which type do u recommend? Thanks.

    • @morganskitchen2415
      @morganskitchen2415  8 месяцев назад

      So each air fryer is unique in their own ways. It's really up to you on which one you prefer. With the air fryer in this video I like it just because you can see the cooking while it's happening verses the bucket type air fryer. For me, personally, I like the Ninja Speedi. It's a multi-cooker meaning it can do multiple things including air frying. In fact, over the past Thanksgiving holiday I made green bean casserole in my Ninja Speedi and it turned out perfect!

    Seems like a lot of time compared with using a fry pan. However, I'm sure it'll be a different story with chicken wings.

    How do I get a new manual and a baking pan, I was gifted one and it didn't have these

    • @morganskitchen2415

      You could look online for both of those. Maybe even go to the Gourmia website to see about downloading the manual and ordering a baking pan.
