To overcome that ability of bowling fast (spcly who is having fragile body) u must contain the ability of delivering each with perfect variation with uncanny accuracy level .... One can't help but notice that the title of old videos of the Aussies always have a menacing adjective, and is not so for videos of other players.

Gilly deserves as much credit as McGrath. He was simply brilliant behind stumps.

What a kalyug period of cricket we are witnessing. Every batsman is crossing 40 avg. If it continued, an avg of 50 would become common in one decade. In 90s, even crossing 35 plus avg was considered very good, only top level batsman were able to reach around or over 40 then.

Yes it is terrific bowling, but it also reminds me just how good the Aussie slip cordon was. I think it peaked late 1990's when they had Healy, Taylor, MWaugh, Warne. Extraordinary lineup behind the stumps. Never been a more reliable setup. They could also call on Ponting Martyn Langer and especially Hayden who was superb at slip to spinners. Personally i'd have MWaugh at midwicket and Ponting at cover. Crazy good team with the ball in hand.

Sure this was a top bowling performance, but have a look how green and bouncy that Gabba pitch was. They were pretty ideal conditions for a bowler like McGrath who could play the odds putting it in the right spot every time and presenting the seam upright so it did all the work. After all judging by the scoreline it looks as though other bowlers in that Aussie attack had a happy time too.
