My review of the Klipsch RP8000F speaker
I personally prefer it over the RP600M and am impressed with what budget speakers today can do.
The speaker is easy to drive and I had great success with
    IOTAVX SA3+PA3 with external DAC
    Yamaha WXA50 with external DAC
    Exasound E28+Modwright LS100+Moon W5.3
    REL T7i subwoofers.
If you want to experience the full range sound, you will need to pair with subwoofers. However, I would say for most people, it is good enough.

One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that these speakers don't disappear. You can localize the tweeter especially when something sharp plays. If enough people ask for the RF7 III, I will reach out to Klipsch, it would help if you can send them an email too. Don't forget to like and subscribe.

Please review the RF7 III. The 8000F and the RF7's were on my shortlist. In the end I went with their heritage line and got some Cornwalls. Definitely not a bright sounding speaker, but with amazing dynamics.

Thank you for making a direct comparison between these and the LSiM, as it was a subject that had crossed my mind. My LSiM 5.0 set up sounds terrific with a Denon x7200. But the Klipsch RP sound amazing in a demo room. With no way to pair them for a side-by-side, I rely on word of mouth. Your vids provide authentic, no frills assessments that have enough credibility for my peace of mind.

    Thomas,
You really, really helped me pick the right speakers for my setup. I watch a lot of audio review channels, and you are one of the best! It's obvious when you're excited about a speaker, and you are so good at articulately describing your experience so that I feel that I have just demoed them myself. I ended up buying the RP8000F towers, the 504c center, RP500 SA atmos speakers, a couple of Polk 265 RT in walls and an SVS PB-3000 subwoofer for a 5.1.2. I'm using the Denon X3700H and an Emotiva amp to help drive these bad boys. Eventually I will pump this thing up to a 7.1.4, but my only hurdle is that one of the surrounds will be in a wall with a gas fireplace below it. The sheetrock gets darn right hot, and I'm concerned that the heat will ruin the speakers. What do you think about putting an in wall speaker in a wall that has a gas fireplace in it?

Thomas, congratulations on another entertaining review, particularly one that a wide range of people can relate to. I've owned both those since they first came out and concur with your experience with each, however, I usually listen to them in a surround setup, but have spent a lot of time pairing them with several amps in stereo application. What I conclude is that the RP series are fundamentally, sound reinforcement speakers, intended to deliver clean dynamics, i.e. fast transition in dB as one would appreciate in an action movie sound effects. When I have used them strictly in stereo, they lack frequency response in the mid band, particularly when played at moderate levels. When belting out sound, they tend to come into better balance through the frequency band (high to low). When playing live music recordings, they can shine nicely over more expensive gear, but they really come together when used in a full 7 or 5 channel setup. The Klipsch center brings out all the missing vocals from the towers or bookshelf types. Then you get true instrument separation with the singer in the middle as in a real live venue. I also own the previous model RF towers with the newest RF center. Although these components are a good bit better than the RP series, the same thing tends to be true. When paired with their center channel, absolutely glorious. Without, as you say, meh. It is simply that the 6.5" and 8" woofers have a significant dB drop off from about 800hz and up, so those speakers rely on the wave guide tweeter (i.e. horn) to pick up the slack. Problem is that those horns only dip down to about 2Khz, thus leaving a void in part of the vocal range. Some think the RP series is warm, but it only seems that way from lack of lower vocal range. The center channel corrects most of this shortcoming. Still, they are a lot of fun, especially for the budget pricing. Won't be using any of my RP gear to replace stereo listening of my Cornwall 3s any time soon though. Cheers Thomas!

You are a very authentic reviewer. Most reviewers would just be saying Klipsch walks on water, but you point out the "brightness" which a lot of people won't like in a speaker. And your favourite speaker is Polk which is a favourite of the top reviewers I notice, although it is a bit of an obscure brand. And you *own* Polk speakers, not just review them for a couple of days.

I almost LIVE at London drugs! I am literally on a first name basis with staff!
I wanted to say they have bent over backwards for me with honoring expired sales pricing, most recently they honored the sale of the SPL100 sub at $599 vs $799 on 2 separate occasions. They also matched The Bricks pricing on a Klipsch R52C center channel for my wife!
      SUCH GREAT SERVICE
Lastly, having seen the Klipsch RP504C on sale somewhere for $750 (reg $999) I made EVERY effort to have someone honor that and that wasn't happening... knowing that Visions sells select RP speakers I pushed & they agreed to sell it at $750+tax!!!
Long and short, KLIPSCH is fantastic, way out performs its price point and deals pop up often!!!
Last thing... when I excitedly arrived home with the RP260F'S (the predisessor to the RP6000) I wanted to hear them so bad that I just quickly hooked them to our center channel in our small theater on our main floor.
I was giddy like a kid seeing a new bike in the living room! Out of a large showroom and in a more easily filled room these BLEW my mind! Clear/Bright & PUNCHY!!!
      AMAZINGLY FULL SOUND
      GOOD LUCK

Went from the MA bronze 1 to the Klipsch RP-160M (I'm 15 so couldn't afford the RP600(they cost almost 900 USD here in Norway.) paired with a Hegel HD11 and NAD D3045. And to be honest, I totally agree that the RP line Klipsch's are really fun listening to. You're one of the reasons I decided to buy the RP-160M. They're not sharp at all (a lot of people complain about Klipsch speakers being sharp) They're incredibly loud, Still maintain their "fullness" and doesn't get tinny/or sharp when you turn them up. Yet to break them in so can't judge them, wish they went a little lower (even though I've got a SVS PB-1000). But their bass is quite impressive down to 40 Hz. Keep up your work man, really enjoy your content. Cheers from Norway :)

I respect you as a reviewer because you are not snobbish towards Polk Audio LSiM. Many audiophiles dismiss them regardless of price. But these speakers go toe to toe with many others. As an all rounder, and at the current price, it's impossible to beat. You get a lot of speaker for very little $$. And that is a value that you may not beat in a lifetime. Sure you can spend a lot more and get a better speaker but value wise,. this beats everything out there. I paid $1050 for my pair from Adorama, shipped. I will never part with my pair even though i have other more 'higher' end speakers and brands audiophiles would much rather pay attention too. I am keeping these till the drivers rot.

Another great time listening to your thoughts and stories Thomas! Props on step-in up the video quality and shots. I really enjoyed the one big shot of the front setup panning down.. good stuff man.
I have been going back and forth on this same question all year debating between the RP600M due to all the reviews and from some short listening sessions but in the back of my mind I always wondered if bigger would mean better.
I ultimately got lucky enough to hear the 8000F and was blown away but also missed that instrument separation and detail of the RP600M just like you did. So what to do? I purchased the RP 4000F! It seems to be the forgotten child of the lineup because I bought them for an absolute steal brand new, less than the RP600Ms!
I am hoping it will l split the difference and give me that just right Goldilocks experience. I have to admit I am worried that the small drivers may hold it back but the small cabinet for a floor stander really intrigued me and it goes deeper than the RP600M, with maybe even more control due to the small drivers? Thats the hope anyway still need to set up this week hopefully I'll let you know! Keep up the great work it doesn't go unnoticed. Glad you are sticking with it!

I tried the Klipsch Rp280s without Bi wiring, i didn't like the sound as much as when i did Bi wired them. Separated the instruments, then recently Bi Amped them. Crossovered at 80hrz sent bass to sub, 300watts just feeds the highs n mids. Like it way more now, but also made some dyi wires ofc 12 awg x 3.
      Amazing sound to me. Enjoy.

I have the smaller ones here in this video with an Onkyo receiver, along with a Polk Audio 10 for the lows. And blown away at how good they sound. I started small, i see so many love/hate reviews on Klipsh speakers. I guess this is one of thoses brands its either you like them or you hate them. Overall, they sound good. They can be a little harsh on the high end, but toe them in a little bit helps with that.

I absolutely love my RP8000F! Glad you like them too. They really do make music fun and enjoyable to listen to! Without any of that old shouty/fatiguing Klipsch sound, that many still think of when they hear about Klipsch.
Ps My goal for getting new speakers was to find something smaller and more design friendly than my old ones, but ending up buying these that are even larger because they sound so well! Haha!

I've listen to Danny Richie on GR research on the RP 8000f's and I'm confused here's why.
Danny stated the Rp 8000f has a big hole in the middle, tweeter and woofers don't crossover correctly.
But Audioholics Gene D. had his team do the measurements and stated they were awesome. So I'm not sure who to believe, but going on my Sales experience 26yrs. Danny does sell kits, he does state some truth about price pts speaker companies want to hit a exact price pt on each speaker. So cutting costs is the way to get there.

These are excellent for Home Theater. You will need to power them with a more layered amplifier like Anthem. I have an Anthem Statement P5 on RF82s, RC52, and RS62II on the surrounds. Also RF42IIs for surround back with a smaller amp. The P5 is very layered and silky and you'll need a sub for H.T. Best sub for H.T. is SVS and match the crossover settings with the parametric equalizer on the SVS. I use a 13 Ultra. I don't hold Klipsch as much for 2 channel as I do for H.T. For music go for something else.
Also for spl efficiency, Klipsch definitely fudges that stat. They are not as efficient as Klipsch claims. The 8000F is on my replacement list for the RF82s. Everything else stays the same. An upgrade would be Paradigm Prestige. Hope this helps.

Not sure your budget or preference style but I like my Klipsch 280f paired with the Yamaha aventage 880 which is laid back. Be prepared for long break in period and hard time getting room correction and placement exactly how you like it unless you're more skilled with it than I was.
Last week JBL had the studio 570 for $200 each. I thought that was a good buy so my brother bought a pair. I have the 580 and they're pretty good, too.
Elac ub5 is neutral, kinda boring in my opinion but easy to listen to for long periods of time.
You might find something you like better. I recommend cheap audio man if you're budget is tight.
