wow!!! Spectacular, what a lovely place to spend the evening and early morning and highly appreciate the tremendous effort you made to be there to see these beautiful Golden Plovers
Great vlog Espen. Great that you got the shots you were after, shows your planning is spot on. Always lovely seeing Scottish scenery in beautiful light
Wow Espen, I envy you sometimes for your great trips. A great hike, nice weather, wild animals to photograph and at the end of a great evening a hamburger with a beer (my wife told me I´m crazy, when I told her of my plan to make a hamburger in the woods earlier this year)... Also the video itself is really great work! Thank you for that!
Hi Espen. Great video thanks. Coming north to near Oban in a couple of weeks and would love to get some good pics in that stunning landscape. If nor Plover then perhaps Otter or Eagles. Thanks again for the inspiration.
Cool! Worth having a look for golden plovers, but yes there'll be something interesting to photograph :) Birdtrack can be a good place to check for previous years' migration dates.
Hi Espen wow beautifully filmed and put together what a place just stunning the image's were brilliant as always. Until next time take care and stay safe my friend.
Hey Espen, Looks like you had a great day out and fun camping. I give you high marks for being out in so much wind... Wind always rubs me the wrong way.... Spending time with the Plovers was great and you had fantastic light! I haven't camped in forever but I do plan to this year! Sayin' hey.... Greg
Thanks for sharing! I really liked the story-like rendition with all the aerials, 3rd person views, time lapses etc. and all the small details. And of course the videos and stills of the bird as well. Such a nice scenery and well captured as well! It immediately makes me want to experience something similar.
A bit late watching today. I wish I could say it was photography but sad to say yard work. It is beautiful country side and landscape where you are. A great camping day though it looked like it was a bit chilly and you managed to get some really nice shots. Hope you have a great week - stay well and stay safe.
Thanks Espen, I enjoyed the vlog. I had a couple of day trips to a similar area of the Cairngorms a week ago and photographed both Dunlin and Golden plover. Both still had young but I got the feeling it was nearing the end of their breeding season. The plover’s plaintive call is very much part of summer on Scottish uplands.
Keep in touch re Dunlin. You can see the images of the Dunlin and Golden plover on Instagram - ronpon22 and on Twitter @ronpon_ron Keep up the good work- the content and quality is constantly improving👍😊
I'm sitting here with goosebumps! These landscape cinematics by drone are absolutely crazy, your videos are getting even better :-) Also extremely jealous about your encouter with the golden plover - joke aside, congrats for these incredible pictures!!
A great channel. One of 3 about nature photography that I watch regularly. Good job ! Regards !!! P.S. I've cooked outdoors many times but never a burger, now I will have to try ...
Muy buen reportaje de los Dorados Espen, a finales de Agosto los tengo en mi zona costera, Asturias en el norte de España, aunque sin el moteado tan negro pero bien dorados. Un saludo.
Amazing pictures from that amazing experience and adventure, thank you for sharing. I am curious if the choice of colours on the clothes was intentional to blend with the dark-ish vegetation?
Thank you, yes I always wear earthy tones like that when photographing wildlife. Not just specifically for the heath I was on here, helps for most places :)
When the wife throws you out, head for the hills, just a treat as always! Don't know about the wild camping bit I would probably go home after dark!😀 Great to see you in action lovely video thanks for sharing
Of course the Golden Plover followed you back to camp! Did you not hear the calls? True, I never heard the "Es"... but I definitely heard the "pen". And you never even gave it a cuppa coffee... I'm fair disappointed in you, you a naturalist as well, my my! 😹
That golden plover is just precious 🥺
Such an amazing bird to spend time with 😃

Super compliment Ptasia! Thank you! Burgers is a must ;)
Around 1/6 of your viewers have liked the video. Now that's a great community.
Thanks for being part of it Noah :)

Gracias Abel! Say hi to them when they come your way ;)
Lovely images. I don't know about gas but that's certainly trangia country. Stay safe.
Thank you :) Not heard of trangia, looks interesting. Something you use?
Golden Plovers can be hard to spot with their call, they always sound much closer than they really are. Another excellent video Espen!
Yeah, amazing how well they blend into the habitat. Thank you :)
Top video Espen.
Thanks Pete :)
Enjoyed watching as always .. lovely work Espen , I don't seem to get notifications on each new upload you make i seen this notification on insta.
Thanks for that! Weird, maybe it's a setting on RUclips? did you click the bell icon? I'll keep sharing on insta as well.
Beautiful hills and nice & curious bird, I’ll look for them when coming South
Won't be long now :)
It's nice to see the Golden Plover with that breeding plumage. When they are in the Philippines they have different plumage.
Cool, they really do cover a lot of the world for such small birds :)

Great video Espen! I could do the exact same if I just had the opportunity \. Keep on the good work
Thanks! Will do!

now did you ask for the queen's permission before you walked all over her land?
Yeah, she said it was fine.
@@EspenHelland Nice. She better was wearing one of them fancy hats :D
