Hello guys!, Paraty is one of the most beautiful "coastal" places in all of Brazil. The place where they went with the boat is Paraty mirim (small Party) full of beaches and paradisiacal places. Paraty has a sign before entering the small port that says: "In Paraty the only thing that has changed is you." It was a great choice to spend a few days there! A big greeting from Buenos Aires!
You need the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro. It has beautiful cities such as: Nova Friburgo, Teresópolis, Santa Maria Madalena, Sumidouro and Duas Barras. American singer Leny Kravitz bought a beautiful farm in Duas Barras. The city of Sumidouro has the largest waterfall in Rio de Janeiro. The mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro was colonized by Swiss, Hungarians and Germans and is considered the safest region in Rio de Janeiro. The Serrana Region of Rio is 2 hours from the capital, the city of Rio de Janeiro. Visit!
For more well preserved colonial city I strongly recommend visit ouro preto. There u all know de country side of Brazilian colonization and can view some of best barroco brasileiro peaces… barroco brasileiro was the first art movement of brazil. 🇧🇷
No problema with portuguese. If you had spent 15 more minutes drinking cachaça and you starts to say : "cachaça, cachassa, shacassa, shashasha, and so on.
I enjoyed this video. I live in Lorena/SP, near to Paraty. When I listened Jacqueline’s accent I supposed that she’s australian. I liked her effort to communicate in “Portunhol” with the waitress.
Nice video, but probably Paraty is not THE most well-preserved colonial town in Brazil, it might be also either Ouro Preto or Tiradentes, both in Minas Gerais state and both also UNESCO's world heritage sites. There's even and old colonial road connecting them to Paraty, "estrada real" (Royal road), used centuries ago by the Portuguese to bring gold from inland to the port of Paraty, nowadays used for tourism purposes.
Loved all the videos from Brazil. I miss my country so much! If you have the chance, I'd recommend visiting my hometown, Campos do Jordão. It's a charming city three hours from Sao Paulo 😊

Wow, the video was incredible. The most nice thing that, one time that you visit Paraty/Trindade and the beachs and waterfalls in this region, you ill renember the sensation forever, even just whatching a nice travel viseo on youtube :) Being a São Paulo citizen, i miss this vibe sometimes. Thank you for the nice video, im happy you enjoyed you time there!!!
The most beautiful interesting magical well preserved colonial city in Brazil is Ouro Preto. The first city get the world heritage title by UNESCO in Brazil. There is a famous road from Paraty/Rio de Janeiro to Ouro Preto. It is in Minas Gerais state that is very famous for its cousin/typical food.
Close to Paraty you have Ubatuba (going left) and Angra dos Reis and Região dos Lagos going right (Arrial do Cabo, Búzios and Cabo Frio). Probably among the best beaches in Brazil with refreshing cold waters. If you have the opportunity, it's definetely worth it. In Angra you have Lagoa Azul, Praia do Aventureiro, Praia dos Meros and the famous praia de Lopes Mendes in Ilha Grande Now if you really want to find the TOP places it would be a bit further in Arraial: Pontal do Atalaia and Praia do Farol. Everything there seems to be coming straight out from a fantasy movie.
You can meet a very beautiful ville named Trindade, in Paraty. There are two beaches. The first, Cepilho Beach, you see a lot of rocks, it looks artistic, but it's natural, an amazing landscape between sea and mountain. And the second beach you will meet a very confortable group of beach houses, where fishers and tourists share the common place.
Definitely a spot I would recommend to any foreign. I usually go there and to Ilha Grande. Glad to see you enjoyed it. As you already noticed, and comments suggesting other attractions adds to the fact, you'll need to list all places of interest and prioritise them , cuz, honestly, I don't know how many trips it'd take to visit all the 1st tier brazilian tourist hotspots , let alone off the beaten track ones... Enjoy your ride guys✌️
Paraty is located in south Rio de Janeiro, exactly in the border with São Paulo State. Maybe worthy take a look at Ubatuda, a few kilometers (south) in São Paulo.
Fun-Fact about the Gabriela Cachaça: it´s named like that because of a female character called Gabriella from the book "Gabriela Cravo e Canela" from Jorge Amado, one of the most famous Brazilian Writers. Gabriela Cravo e Canela is translated to Gabriela Clove and Cinamon, and the clove and cinamon were references to her skin-tone and her spicy personality. Despite the book story occurs in Bahia, the Gabriela Character became famous allover brasil... Anyway, in the mid 80s a movie was shot and Paraty was choosen to be the screen locations because of it´s architectural preservation that resembles the scenery in the story. And that´s why Paraty´s Cinamon flavoured Cachaça became known as Gabriela
