Thanks for promoting positive content! As opposed to some RUclipsrs who prefer to go to the poor areas.
Hello Hbb, it was such an amazing time in Rio. The beaches, the vibes its hard not to showcase that on a video. Nevertheless I'm glad we did justice to the true colours of the city ❤️ 🇧🇷
@@MaxandJacqueline ☺️
No one should be forced to show this...or that.
The visitor must go and show what he wants, and praise what he wants, but he must certainly research the place where he is going.
So it's positive to have content that will show the dark side here, whether they will romanticize it or not is not in anyone's control.
The spectator must have dissent =]

I love Brazilian culture. It has vibrant colours, laid-back and relaxed lifestyle, multi-ethnic community, and warm and hospitable people.🇧🇷 You guys are so kind, adventurous, warm, loyal and humble people. Greetings from New Zealand 🇳🇿 ♥️
Kia Ora 👋 thanks so much 😊 we loved Brazil too and hope we have shared how amazing it is 🫶
Sejam bem vindos todos aqui e o Brasil ti abraça 🇧🇷🌅 a todos 🇧🇷🌅
try to live here for a few months. But not in the touristic "make believe" part of the city. Live where the medium citizens live, under heavy criminal violence, no public transportation, huge traffic jams, floods in the summer, loud music from neighbours. Let's see if you will still love our "culture"
Iludido kk, o Brasil é muito é paia

I remember planning my trip to Rio in 2016. If i had listened to the internet about safety, i would not have not gone. It turned out to be one of my best trips. Friendly people. One of the most beautiful located cities in the world.
🙌 Just like any city there are for sure unsafe areas and people looking for trouble but also most people are friendly and kind! We’re so glad we made it to Brazil it’s such a beautiful country!
Brazil is seriously a world apart. There's so much to discover. ❤
So much! We need at least two more visits!
❤❤❤❤❤❤🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Meu ovo, Brasil é paia
I am glad you enjoyed Brazil. 😊
Loved it! We hope our videos showcase just a small portion of how amazing it is 🇧🇷
I'm from Rio, living in the US. I'm glad that you liked!
Awesome! Thank you! We loved it!
In Spite of bad governors, and current Mayor, Rio still amazing!❤
Agreed
As a brazilian it's amazing to see foreigners enjoying and having good times in Brazil! As any country in the world we have our problems.. But let's enjoy the good part. Rio is an amazing and stunning city!
Like you said every country have problems. The hype of the good side of Brazil should be way bigger! The world should know how good Brazil is
@@MaxandJacqueline yes, absolutely! I'm glad you enjoyed guys!! Come back more times!
It's such a great pride to see Gringos enjoying the good things about my Rio, welcome and come back often!
We loved so many things about Rio 🫶🇧🇷 thank you
Amazing guys!
It was nice to see things about the kingdom of Brazil, it was nice to see the buildings of the time, there are also other amazing places to explore such as monasteries, castles, navy museums.
In the early 1800s, the King of Portugal, in order to escape Napoleon, declared a united kingdom of Portugal and Brazil, with its capital in Rio.
Rio was the only capital of a European kingdom outside Europe. A few decades later, when the king returned to Lisbon, part of the court remained in Rio. At that time Brazil already had a life on its own, so the prince of Portugal declared independence from his father, and reigned as Pedro I, the first king/emperor of Brazil.
And so the country was born!
While some other RUclipsrs have no new subject matter apart from caipirinha and negative things, you have brought us this wonder.
Thank you! Brazil has a tonne to offer and we really hope we can come back again and discover more. We’re so glad we were able to share a different side of Brazil to what’s out there from your experience 🫶
So happy to have brought back those good memories for you 🧡
Wow this is one of your best videos, love Rio Di Janeiro what an amazing city. Thanks for sharing, love the channel. Stay safe and happy travels. Cheers 🍹🍹
Wow thank you 🥹 we really had a lot of fun in Brazil and I think it comes across haha 🧡

I went to Brazil last year in May and I will never forget it . I left my heart in Brazil ❤. When I saw Christ redeemer 13 year old me was crying inside of happiness because my one and dream was to go to Brazil and see Christ , hoping to go back soon I absolutely loved it 🥰
We feel the same! We cannot wait to go back and explore more of this beautiful country!
That "huge bridge" is called Ponte (bridge in Portuguese) Rio-Niterói and it links these two cities of the State of Rio de Janeiro. It is one of the largest of the world over salty water (the largest concrete one of the South Hemisphere). It was built in 1974 and before its about 14 km, you had to go through a 120 km way... It is famous for its traffic jams during rush hours (as many people of Niteroi work in Rio) and if you stop over there you can fell very very clearly the bridge going up and down because of the waves and wind (its normal, its part of its safety) so that when it's really strong winds, it is closed for safety. There's also a ferry system connecting the two cities (the Rio station is close to the Museum of Tomorrow). Still: the shape of this Museum is made to be ethereal and taken as a big ship on port by far (because of its location). There was a contest won by a world renowned Spanish architect, Santiago Calatrava. It is all eco friendly and was built right before the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics to reurbanize the port region which was all abandoned before. Sorry for all the info, started and couldn't stop 🤣🤣🤣
Wow 😯 thanks for the info! We were so busy in Rio we never had time to look up the info!
@@MaxandJacquelineNiterói, my city! ✌🏼
Loved it. So glad you guys went beyond the "caipirinha on the beach". Rio is actually a cultural hotspot here in Brazil. Been there 3 times, and although I am from a much safer state (Minas Gerais) I have to admit the city has many many many wonders and gems, which make it worth it :) Someday it will be a world class city in terms of security and equality, at least I hope so. Glad you enjoyed yourselves! Next time come to Belo Horizonte, Ouro Preto and Inhotim Open Air Museum, all of them in Minas, you won't regret it.
Haha the caipirinha on the beach was good but there is so much more to Rio than that 😅 we would love to see Mina’s Gérais and hope to come back some time soon 🤞
I can't believe your trip to Brazil is over 😢
I know!!! So sad! 😞 100% guarantee we are coming back
O Pão de açúcar é a visão mais linda do Rio! A grande parte dos turistas elegem o Pão de açúcar o ponto turístico mais belo!
🙈 we will have to come back to take the cable car 😆
Yep, the Sugar Loaf and the Botanical gardens are my two favourite touristic attractions in Rio (lived there for 10 years).
You chose wisely what to do in the marvelous Rio. Congratulations👏Very nice video. Very well edited too. Thank you for sharing with us.🎉
Anyway, if you want to know better about Brazilian culture, specially music that is incrediable in Brazil, you show watch the closing cerimony of Rio Olympic games here in youtube. If you like that, then the openning cerimony😉😊.
If there would be next time in Rio, you also should visit Botanical Garden(it was the emperor garden. It's magical). Sugar Loaf, Santa Tereza and Maracanã stadium and the Arpoador sunset.Lapa at nigh. 😉🌿
Thanks Sandy! We will definitely be visiting again and hopefully soon!
Thank you guys for choosing Brazilian songs for the videos. Lots of foreigners mistakenly chooses Caribbean songs instead. Also thank you for your amazing content. Welcome to Brazil, feel at home.
Thank you! Haha that’s all Max!
Out of 30+ countries I've visited, Rio is the most beautiful city I had the pleasure to visit, been back several times, there is something special about this city.

I went to Museu do Amanhã two days ago and it was an incredible experience. If you have another opportunity in Brazil i really recommend you Museu Inhotim (an outdoor museu) in Minas Gerais state. It´s something completely different you have seen your life.

😂 it’s so true though!
Hello Max, Hello Jacqueline, do you know or heard of anything regarding drone launces at Cristo?
Yes, it’s not allowed unfortunately
You are all welcome to Brazil! There are a lof of great places to go! Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, Amazônia E VÁRIOS! Just remember, do your research first on which places to go and how to be safe, , always walk with just a few money on your wallet, be carefull with your cellphone and a good smile can take you anywhere! Enjoy my friends 😃💛💚💙
Thanks for the tips!

Brazil is so beautiful and I can’t imagine a tourist not loving it but it’s always good to be aware of surroundings!
Estamos viajando com você.
🫶 love that!
Vem pro Ceará
Next time! We need more than 4 weeks to travel Brazil 😅
Are there a good amount of locations along the city where there’s wifi or decent service to grab an uber?
We had a local simcard so we were not on the lookout for that. Ubers were safe, reliable, and very affordable
You have to visit Belo Horizonte, Ouro Preto São João del Rei, Gramado, Brasilia, Recife-PE, Porto de Hen, Olinda Salvador and all of Brazil...😂😅
🤩 even on a second trip I don’t think we can visit all those places but we can try 😅 thanks for the tips it’s much appreciated 🧡
❤❤❤❤
I was born in a city that is 120 miles far from Rio (2 hour trip) and at least once a month I visit Rio and there’s still like 70% of the city missing for me to explore. It’s such an amazing city, and makes me sad that people in general when talking about Rio only mention “violence” cause Rio is not even on the top 10 most violent cities in Brazil list. I’m glad you guys liked it and I hope you can do the sugar loaf attraction next time, I’ve done and it’s gorgeous. Welcome to Brazil 🇧🇷 😊
I know as tourist we don’t see what it’s really like for the locals BUT what we can say is that every Brazilian that interacted with us was incredibly friendly and kind 🫶 we loved Brazil and can’t wait to come back
Please stay longer in Brazil 🥲🥲🥲🥲
💔 we have to come back and hopefully soon!
@@MaxandJacqueline what is the name of the kilo restaurant
If Brazil was not such a unequal economicly society, It would be the best place in the world. We are a land of most rich culture, with cultures from all over the world, we are literally sons of every society in every color. We can be the message of tolerance and cultural respect and armony the world needs, but we need to solve our own problems first. Help us against the politcs of greed, intolerance and preconcepts, world, we need you all.
Hopefully one day soon Brazil will be more balanced! We agree the culture and the people are amazing but the government can do better!
Esse é o verdadeiro Brasil.
Ah well that's appreciated glad you liked the video ❤️
When I saw the prices you paid at parque lage and worked it out in my South African rands, I was a bit shocked. I took many local girls to that exact spot for a brunch over the years as one of my many gringo party tricks trying to impress the local woman haha. Then again, I’m always going all around town to the best spots to eat (I guess as a tourist you just not doing the maths when spending them R$ Reals
Travelling on Rand is very hard
@@MaxandJacqueline agreed, I’ve been blessed in a past life to have travelled extensively across the globe but I totally agree, it’s very hard with the rand 👍🏻 (especially when not born with a silver spoon)
come and see your Maranhão sheets from Brazil and they are beautiful
Made note of that thank you 😊
Cool video. Any safety concerns?
Thanks! Not much, you of course have to be aware but we never really felt unsafe.
Be sensible and you will have a great time! Brazil is stunning.
👏👏👏
Great video, Brazil has so much to offer. Just a little correction, it's Ipanema not Impanema. :)
Oh 😅 haha we’ve been saying it wrong the whole time thanks!
Rio was capital of the Empire, and it was capital of the Republic until the 1960s. That's why it has so many historical buildings.
You ended up not going to the Sugar Loaf?? It can be forgiven because of the sailing on the coast, but still...
Saving it for our next visit!
Corcovado trail is safe i dont know where you seen its not, it even has 4.8 stars on google maps never the less Great video!
That's good to know it's just with all our camera gear we have to be quite careful as this is our way of earning an income. We will look at doing it via trail next time we are in Rio 😜
Madonna´s show is coming to Copacabana Beach
You didn't go up Sugar Loaf on sunset? My gosh! Sacrilege! 😄
😅 something to look forward to next time we visit 🫶
No, the mugging stories on the trail where years ago, this hasn't happened in the last 4 or so years. The hike takes about 1:30 hours and starts inside Parque Lage, where you have to register at a booth of the municipal guard, for free
Oh thank you for the update! That’s really helpful. Next time we come back we want to do it and just not take the cameras with us so there is no risk any ways 😊
It’s funny when you say that you’re interested in the scenery not culture but shortly after saying that 9am is early for Brazilians.
Girl we literally wake up at 4am to get to work every day!
Okay maybe just for the Brazilians we encountered 😅 sorry we shouldn’t speak for everyone!
It's called "Cosme Velho". It's easy, whenever you see a "LH" just replace the "h" for an "i" and It's fine, it's close enough.
for example: "cosme velho" pronounces "cosme velio".
Close enough 😅 haha thanks for the tips next I come I need to take some Portuguese lessons first
Do I have to be able to speak Portuguese if I want to visit Rio? 🤗
you can get by with English
Bem caro os passeios e alimento no Rio.
Yes we thought so too that’s why we’re doing most things on our own 😅
