I visited Curitiba recently with my parents to settle some family affairs, and the food was incredible. It completely ruined my standards for food, because now nothing else back home compares 😂😂😂
the midia usually says rio is just a place full of crime and violence which is true on some places, depending on the hour too, but in general you'll just have a great time here. rio's aesthetics hits different. you feel welcome on every place you go
At 16:42, that man is not saying "it will make you strong". He is asking "gostou do forte?" -- literally, "did you like the strong one then?" This implies that he had offered a mild and a strong (spicy) version of the same dish and that Mike had chosen the strong one.
Finally Mike is in Brazil!!!!! Took u so long to come visit us, man! Hope u had a great time here. In my humble opinion, I think you should plan a whole full vacation here and try to visit other cities aswell. Our beautiful country is huge and every state has its tradition and different cultures and food.
And you know what is awesome about Brazil? I was born and raised here, and I've never seen some of the food you got! Because I live in Recife, never been to Rio, so it's a really different culture since it's a ginormous country. Feijoada, caldinho, coxinha, cupim are really common everywhere, but seafood is SO different at north or northeast sides of the country. And special detail to the north region 'cause by itself it's almost a different world. I loooove that you got "buchada", it's really something I'd say that you would LOVE from our food.
Claiming the best cuisine in the world? Brazil has good food, but the best? Take it down a notch. You haven’t left Brazil to eat food from other countries I’m assuming. There is a lot of good cuisines in the world. Brazil is not the best.
about feira de são cristóvão: go during the weekends. in weekdays, it's quite empty and most restaurants won't be open. also, watch out for some vendors there, they can be quite pushy. aside from that, it's my favorite place to eat over here in Rio.
Every time mikey uploads I look forward to hearing his first "UH-Mazing!" And he replaced it with delicioso!! He got it in there towards the middle so I'm complete again
The Hump Steak(we call it "Cupim") and the rib(costela de chão) are by far the best cuts that you can get in Brazil, there is so many variations of it in all the country. The costela Its my favorite cut in the world
I always wondered if that was edible, now I know. The breed of cattle preferred in South America, is the Brahman, which has a hump, which would be the roast you had Mike. And, that'll be another addition to my foods to try list. =^.^=
Nice Art of League of legends showcased on one of the buildings. Also all these foods look great especially the fried fish definetly doesn't look greasy and suprised to see Guava Ketchup, but I know that Banana ketchup tends to be used as a main ketchup in a few countries. Always interesting to see what different specialties people can make from different fruits and veggies.
16:34 YOu love organs? But you won't eat filipino digunuan blood stew? They put pork, hog maw, tripe and sometimes intestines. It's southern US cooking filipino style.
As a Brazilian that has been watching you for over 3 years I feel so happy to see you in my country. I hope you enjoy the food, culture and people.

It's awesooooome to see him here! eu não consegui processar ele andando pela rua tocando Zé Vaqueiro KKKKKKKK
I really want to visit Brazil now, thank you Mikey I’m obsessed!!
1:40 YES, my friends. there is a gigantic lux and morgana graffiti on that building. really epic btw
I love that no matter where he was, there were people laughing in the background and on the streets! Seems like a lively and nice place!
It is really like that, especially by the beaches. Such a happy beautiful place.
That is the charm of Brazil. Can't wait to get back and I only just returned from there.

OMG.this food's so amazing, really good.
That’s so cool.
Cupim, the hump steak, is one of my favorite cuts of meat, my mom makes it so weeeeeell! I miss it
The fish gravy is "Pirão"
Mike, the fish gravy you mentioned is called “pirão”, is made of fish stock and flour with condiments
FINALLY you went to Brazil!! ❤
What was the name of the cured beef and peppers dish?
Carne seca ( dry beef )
Hey Mike. Thanks for sharing the Brazilian way. Alot of different made foods. The gizzards. 😋 I like.. Enjoy!! ❤️🤗🐞

for those wondering tastes like a tuned up version of oxtail, the cupim (hump)
Never been to Saudi! Some very interesting dishes!
All that looks SO good! Oh, I would eat the heck out of all of that, including their equivalent of haggis. I'll eat most anything once, so why not?
I've always wanted to go to Rio!

I can't believe you had BUCHADA!!!!! that's my favorite food in the entire world
Love your content Mike! Looking good as always 😊😊😊❤❤❤
1:37 oh neat, League mural. CBLOL is massive in Brazil so not suprised a mural would exist there.
When will he go to Trinidad! Mind will be blown 🤯
In Indonesia we also called pastel, but the inside carrot, potato & egg
In Brazil it can have lots of different fillings
The name and dish are, most likely, from Portuguese heritage
I did not know Calvin Harris but that dish looks amazing I would love to taste that
Wish we could have that kind of foods here in the Philippines. 😊
What’s the name of the restaurant with the beef hump? (Didn’t seem like it was listed in the list?) Looks delicious!
o apresentador lembra um pouco Jack Chan
Nothing better fast sandwiches Mikey cheers
nice
that guy from saúde bar, looks like a dwarf from lord of the rings
sausage wrapped around breadcrumbs??? lol
Hot dogs actually you wrap them in batter then Bread crumbs, deep fry and eat hot with hot sauce
You didn't say the name of the bar with the gizzards 😑
If Romeo and Juliet would taste that they'd be so married
What sup with the pinky thing while holding the sandwich?
1st again ❤
U’re not first and u never will be
Nope. You're 3rd
A gente só come feijão preto kkkk
1:37 is that Lux and Morgana ?

Why is everything deep fried in NA these days? :S Not even a thing here in Finland yet lol.

Dude why are you saying delicioso like you're speaking Italian and and doing the mano a borsa?
Because he isn't from Brazil
Im pretty sure delicioso is a word in portuguese and means the exact same thing in italian
Only thing I would ate would been the garlic buns 😂
No potatoes in coxinha.
Am I seeing things por did you get a nice tan in Brazil? 😂

Also, those "dumplings" are pastelillos or empanadillas.
In hispanic countries. not in brazil
