can they please just rerecord the entire album using only their voices, a guitar, and the snapping and clapping and stomping? i'm addicted to these acoustic videos.
Am I the only one that thinks he has one of the best voices? There's not too many people that sound like this, they're for sure one of my favorite bands out there.
I love Bastille's acoustic and acapella versions of their songs, it shows they can adapt to multiple mediums of music and are in sync with each other no matter what and create something beautiful. I tried doing the snap-step-clap rhythm and it is HARD to keep rhythm after a while, kudos to Woody! They're all fabulous!
The litmus test of a great group is essentially reaching over and pulling the plug on a great song. If the song sounds even better then that's a great group.
I love Bastille so much, there music is just so raw (not a bad thing) like, it's just music and guitars and clicking/clapping and I've found that they often sing about legends and myths, not sex and drugs as quite a lot of artists do now a days THANK YOU BASTILLE!
One of the things I really love about Bastille is how genuine they are. Dan is my favourite singer because he is amazing without any fancy auto tune and stuff but he is just talented
.There is defiantly an extra special power when it is just the voices and hand clap and leg slap rhythm. Once those rhythms come in it just sends into a whole new level. For me its the undeniable power of the human to human thing. keep safe guys lovely music.
Another comment but this really shows that there is no trickery behind Dan's voice. Bastille definitely deserve to be were they are now and I'm sure they will have countless number ones on the charts through sheer hard work, persistence, talent and self belief
I laughed too much at the use of the word serendipity in the beginning. This band is truly amazing and talented. They're best work is either acoustic or live. They are just amazing, awesome and wonderful live. If you haven't gotten the chance to you should try. They're great! Hearing this song performed at the museum gave me the chills, due to the fact that I've studied Pompeii and Hercalenium for years and absolutely have become attached to the area.
My AP art history teacher just played this version of the song while we are learning about Roman art in Pompeii. I had heard the original song multiple times throughout my childhood and never truly understood it but now.... i can feel the true weight of the lyrics and tragesty that is Pompeii.
i swear i never listen something unplugged from you but you are awsome! i'm shocked and happy at the same time! thank you so much. a big kiss from abruzzo italy ^_^
Dan's voice was amazing. He really really can sing live. But av got to say the drummer. He proper had me saying wow. With no drums and he still made it sound fantastic. Well done mate. Truly well done
Can't see me but I was there when this was filmed live and my mouth dropped open at the acoustics as they are great singers but the Library that the exhibition was in only made it all the better.
One thing still remains to be done: for Bastille to sing this at Pompeii itself.
Piuttosto che i britannici restituiscano ciò che hanno rubato durante la ww2

Timur A id buy it
I love this song it is cool
I need it in my life seriously
I 100%, especially after Doom Days
i'd pay so much money for that
you know a group is good when they can sound that good anywhere
They could play in a sewer and still sound good
@@BuzzGoober2329 I bet the acoustics of a sewer pipe would be pretty amazing, in all honesty :P
@@Rocko11091your honestly probably right

I smiled like an idiot while watching this. Their voices are so beautiful.
Dan playing with his zip, honestly the cutest thing ever*.*

@@tristanwolff5172 shut up
That would have been beautiful to listen to this there in person, with those acoustics...wow
with the echo too
I prefer this version than original.
I'm listening both and this isn't going to get out of my head.
Such talent.
I bet most recording artists today couldn't do this if they tried.
u mean ''artists''
guziczko oo RIGHT

When people of equal talent come together and make music ...magic happens!

everyone: VIBING
Oh My Gosh, I LOVE this song and I like how it echos.
i love that he actually has a voice unlike 90% of musical artists now a days
Yes i agree
I don’t fully understand what you’re trying to say here
Jack Black is so amazing

The acoustics in that place are perfect for that voice 😍
Incredible what a voice
all of it......... the stamping, clapping chest tapping smiling singing echoing madness of a brilliant song......perfect......
This was a great exhibit! My sister and I visited London in 2013 just to experience it, inspired by this song & video in particular.
THE ACOUSTICS, the energy, and this song sets my soul on fire. :)
0:33 Dan's laugh kills me

He's the best singer I've ever heard live
this is the kind of video you should show to someone who think's that nowadays talent people don't exist anymore
😢😢😢😢😢😢 I came to your music so late!!
You guys are all so skilled..
His voice is wonderful
A song that I've always loved, but this version just brings me to tears every time. Such amazing talent.
I wish I could sound this good without ANY musical changes to my voice IN A MUSEUM.
It’s such a flashback, like really. Amazing.
This is the definition of melody
Soooo Good
His acoustic is perfect 😩😩❤️❤️
2:01 that looked like the "I never thought she was gonna stop talking to me" face
Amazing. I've only first heart of Bastille - a week or so ago, fell in love with this song. This is my favorite version so far!!!!
I always get goosebumps (the good kind) as soon as Dan begins singing.
Absolutely stunning. One video I come back to again and again. 💗

Omg ♥ His voice and the drummer's skills are wow...
It seems like they record everything acapella first them put background music to it. I think they sure that it's good with just their voices.
The only music there is is the guitar and the different forms of clapping/slapping/stomping :)
This is probably my favorite version of the live recordings of this song. TBH, the percussionist is my hero since I played drums at one time. :)
It's amazing when someone whilst performing smiles.
absolute CHILLS while listening. this will always and forever be my favourite version of my favourite bastille song.
Holy fuck the acoustics in that room are unbelievable! Dan's powerful voice only adds to the sheer awesomeness of this performance.
Dan's smile at 1:22 Killed me.
me too, he is so sweet :)
Afundou meu coração
damn even with only a guitar and them being practically live these guys are good.
well awesome really
Jasiri
Jasiri check out the Paris one if you haven't already..... but you probably have just like me like a hundred times or more!
it amazes me just how much of the song they capture. these guys are just ah-may-zing.
I'm in awe, I love this version. The echo really does give a great effect to it.
Oh my goodness. Dan's freaking voice!!!! AWESOME.

Awesome job! The acoustics are magnificent and the natural beauty of their voices are mesmerizing. I absolutely love this.
I really don't know why or how, but the "sadness" in this song makes me happy! Very good song, great voices!!!
Most talented voices at the moment!!! ♥

I absolutely love Kyles voice! It's nicely hearable in this video ;) Amazing 💜
Which one is Kyle?
+nifferwilko he's the one on the left. In this checked red and white shirt. And he is gorgeous :) I think you'll agree ;)
+Zuzanna Stochel Thanks-love the music but honestly would probably walk past them in the supermarket!
+nifferwilko yeah, they're quite ordinary-looking and that makes them even more attractive in my opinion :D
Love this group. Always puts me n a calm mood

I would listen, on repeat, endlessly, a Bastille acoustic/acapella album.
