    The kid helping is probably 20 years old, now he’s closing in on his 50’s. Man time flies, 95 feels like yesterday to me

    So awesome watching ole Norm and Tom way back when. I actually remember watching this very episode back in Portland, OR in my family room easy chair with my children playing a board game on the carpeted floor, the fireplace going with a crackling fire, me watching the birds and squirrels at their feeding stations next to the massive greenbelt beyond our backyard, and my loving wife in the kitchen beginning to prepare dinner. Thanks for the lovely memories of my family and of the wonderful and timeless craftsman who we all respect and who really are the salt of the Earth and have inspired so many of us!

    I'll never forget my first pump jack experience. 2nd floor of a house installing a sliding door, no harness, no work shelf about 20 feet from a cliff. Very exciting.

    • @robs1852

      The work shelf was like a luxury that no one seemed to want to waste money on. Said it was like buying two scaffolds for nothing

      My experience with pump Jack's were the ones using two 2×4's. Talk about wobbly! You had to brace them quite a bit to feel secure.

    Yeah we had dbl 2x4 for poles and at 40 feet tall I remember looking down and they were bowing out at least three feet. It was the late 80s and I wasn't afraid of shit then.

      @bradenchurch552 3 года назад +1

      Too funny, same here! I remember setting up the poles and this guy would hold his little 8 inch torpedo level on the crooked 2x4 like he was a real pro. when lowering they'd like to drop 2 or 3 feet just to keep you on your toes.

    • @stevejensen3471
      @stevejensen3471 Год назад +1

      Well it was Bob's job to interpret what the contractors were saying and rephrase and expand the discussion for the viewers. Bob actually developed the formula as to what a host was even supposed to do on the then new genre of home improvement shows. And it was his delivery and style that was emulated by all of the subsequent hosts. Beyond that, he did it all for a paltry $200 per episode for most of the 10 years he hosted the show! He gets alot of flack from folks for some reason but when folks learn that he also ran his own award-winning home remodeling and restoration business, they see him in a different light.

    Why not make sure that you are truly saved by Jesus Christ and practice this way. Remorsefully confess with your heart your sins to Jesus Christ who is God and tell Him that you right now are repenting of your sins and you want to be born again of the Spirit from above. Tell Jesus that you are remorsefully sorry for breaking His commandments and that you are begging for forgiveness from Him. Allow His blood from the cross to wash away your sins. After this is done with your heart successfully the Holy Spirit will come to live within you and He will rebuild you from the inside out.
    Look for signs that you are saved. Things like spreading the good news from Jesus, getting other people saved, a craving for the word of God, reading the Bible, etc… These things are known as a calling and fruit bearing. If you're not bearing fruit then keep doing it. Sometimes it takes time to get saved. Read Matthew chapter 13 from the King James Bible. God bless.
