Sorry for the delay guys! Had a lot going on this week. Enjoy the video!
I wish this had the coil pack driver too I would get rid of the waisted spark
Yeah. I will eventually switch to different individual coils whenever I go FFIM. However that’s just thinking far ahead right now haha. Just been enjoying the car as it is so far. Btw thanks for watching the video! Hope you devotional stick around.
This video and the other one about to save me from driving out of state to tune my Mercedes - ur the goat man
Glad I could help. What Mercedes you working on?
@@Knownworldwide it’s a r129 SL500, working on a rear mount turbo setup for it atm and tunings been the hardest part to get sorted out
@@johnwolyz7895 M119 or M113 motor? I have a FIC for sale if you need one.
@@Knownworldwide it’s an m113, do you have the fic 8 or 6?
@@johnwolyz7895 Lol, completely skipped my mind. Mine is 6. I am definitely excited to see how your build turns out. Please lmk if you need any help with tuning. Or anything.
Im ordering an aem soon, im both excited and afraid for the journey this is gonna be. Its a mitsubishi after all.
Sounds good! What type of Mitsubishi you working on?
Thinking about going this route. I turboed an NA Miata with an F/IC back in the day and it was perfection.
You also have an automatic IS300?
@@Knownworldwide Might be picking one up on Saturday (Auto 2001...yeah different diagram). I've had 3 IS's in the past and keep coming back to them. Got a model 3 right now. Either going to sell that and get an IS300 and an R32 and let the R32 be a project car or get the IS and something else and let the IS be the project car. Mid-life crisis is a real thing. 2J and RB sound so good. I miss the noises.
@@ka24det definitely nice sounds out of both! R32 GTRs are crazy expensive these days.
I thought you might still own a 240sx based on your name.
@@Knownworldwide Nah I'm old. That was like 17 years ago. If I do end up picking up an R32, it'll probably end up being a GTS-T. Then again I dunno, do kids REALLY need college?
@@ka24det haha, not sure in today’s world.
Do not use t taps for data connections!
Why not?
Good work, I like how the aem fic turned out
Thanks! Appreciate you watching the video! Now on to trying to tune it and make some boost!
I can't seem to find the AEM FIC
@dericksonpaul2512 They aren’t made anymore. Your best bet would be to find one second hand on FB marketplace or eBay or Craigslist.
🔥🔥🔥almost ready to hit the road
Yes sir! Next video coming out soon 👀
Good day bro where you buy the AEM fic
Hey man! First off, Thanks for watching the video! Hope you decide to stick around. I think you can still buy these new. You would have to check the website. I am listing mine for sale if you’re interested?
If you watch videos further along on my channel, I just upgraded to a stand alone ECU.
Good work! Beats paying 600 for a patch harness.
Definitely! Thanks buddy!
Would you recommend me getting one of these making my life alittle easier I think or run the gte ecu and wire harness I have already
What year ECU do you have? Because I think some of them have two cam sensors as opposed to the GE VVTi engine having only one.
I'm gonna have to look since you said that couldn't I just wire them together making the ecu think there is 2
Cause I have the ecu that came with my wire harness but it has a immobilizer on it so I bought one from JDM of Miami that doesn't have the immobilizer
@@chriswillingham8947 You might be able to wire them together. I think the 98+ TT ECU only have one cam sensor. I honestly haven’t done that conversion before so you would need to look into it on some forums or something like that.
In the long run, it might be easier (maybe not cost effective) to just go straight to a stand alone with a plug and play harness rather than trying to mess with a stock ECU and harness.
Don’t get me wrong, it is definitely doable as I have heard it done many time. Another thing to keep in mind is that if you do get it up and running on the GTE ECU, you will lose all other functionality of the is300, gauges, cluster, hvac, fans… All those things are controlled by the stock IS300 computer.
Hello, I have watched your video several times. Today, after installing this FIC6 on my GS300 and wiring it according to the drawings, the operation was quite rough. I saw on the forum that I wanted to increase the resistance. Do you know how to do this
What resistance are you trying to increase?
@@Knownworldwide I'm glad you can reply to my message now, I mean resistors
@@Knownworldwide May I ask how I can contact you
I assume you mean on the crank signal? Is it breaking up at high rpm’s?
@@Knownworldwide yess,He gradually becomes normal above 4000 rpm, but sometimes he cannot exceed 3000 rpm
One step closer! Yeeeesssss
Definitely a process but getting there! Happy it starts up and runs!
Beautiful product. Do you have it all the way setup?
I do, if you have time, please check out the other videos on my channel for the IS300. Thanks for watching.
Gonna need some bigger injectors, have you got a size in mind?
Yea, gonna see if I can manage at least a few pounds of boost on the stock guys with the rail pressure turned up.
Since I’m trying to keep everything “budget” friendly for anyone trying this. Also, since the car is auto I don’t want to go too crazy yet with boost.
I will want to get 550cc injectors as that will be more than enough fuel to get this stock GE motor to its limit. However I will probably try out the stock 7M green top injectors first. They are a direct swap for the IS and are around 317cc compared to 250cc stock. They are also only about $50 per injector brand new.
@@Knownworldwide that's what I was curious about I think I heard the TT injectors are 400 something(440?) I believe but not sure if they are direct drop in either need to research some more myself.
@@MidwestMechanic the 440cc aren’t a direct fit unfortunately. They will require resistors to run. If I do get aftermarket injectors, most likely will be Deastchwerks or injector dynamics.
Also in case you decide to go with the 7M injectors, you need the 88-92 Supra injectors. Believe the Cressida injectors from the same years will work too. Those are the only high impedance 7M injectors. The others are low impedance and require a resistor box which just adds to the wiring complexity.
@@Knownworldwide hell yea thanks man
