hyped to see where this build goes. I couldn't decide if I wanted to use ar5 out of a Colorado or a BMW zf but I think I know what route I want to go. since I couldn't decide i went straight to boosting the stock ge with the auto trans shimmed on stock ecu. been daily driving on 7psi for a year and a half and now I think its time to manual and go emu black . also im new to this kind of stuff i just took my car apart and and learned from trial and error and i kind want to to do the same when i get an ecu so ill be following the build.
Can you control the throttle body from the standalone with that harness. I heard that the harness need to keep the throttle body connected to the stock ecu for automatic but if your not using the stock automatic do you have to manually connect to the standalone?
Quick question - from my understanding these cars have the stock intake air temp sensor built in to the mass airflow sensor already. Can i plug up the included IAT sensor to the ecu master without having to disconnect the stock mass airflow sensor from the car and run both, or do i have to disconnect/ modify the mass airflow sensor? Thanks.
Ahh, will the ECU master still be happy with the readings from the MAF for air temp? Or do you think it’ll provide any tunability issues vs using the provided sensor? And if you know which wires they are that would be amazing. Thanks man I appreciate it
Hey man I’m kinda doing the same thing as you putting an ls in my is300 I still have the 2jz as well been a follow for a but following the is300 build. Just asking a quick question for you if u kept stock gauges how’d you adapt both sending units to talk to the Lexus computer
@@BoBuilds ok cool. I'm in the UK. They didn't make a Is300 over here only a Is200 (2L) so thinking of getting an is200 and a Gs300 and making an Is300 and turboing it
Hey quick question where can I get a 3.0 2jz ge vvti computer with master key am doing a swap in my e46 bmw bought a engine that came from the states and the computer as on immobilizer so am stuck with crank and no start car...
Damn that’s a nice standalone! Can’t wait til it makes boost 💨
Such a nice standalone ecu. Can you read the rest oft ECUs (e.g. ABS, Transmission, etc.) via obd diagnostic port furthermore?
I'm wondering that as well.
Hey. Do you know if that will work with an automatic transmission?

you can use the iat sensor thats built into the maf housing. just have to find he 2 wires. let me know if you need help finding those wires

Is the IS and GS 300s the same when it comes to ecu and wiring engine side
same year range should be the same 98-2001 and 2002-2005

Can you get in contact with me. My wife has a 03 lexus gs300 that she wants working again.
have your ecu rebuilt by Tanin if youre not looking to turbo your vehicle
What steering wheel is that?
