The rift between the Githyanki and Githzerai began after the emanicpation from the illithids. Zerthimon warned Gith that hunting down and slaughtering the mind flayers to the last would make them no better than their captors. Zerthimon furthered to suggest more focus should be put to developing a culture and civilization. Gith was having none of it and a civil war ensued, leading Zerthimon to his death and grievous casualties on both sides. The lich queen is named Vlaakith.
these long format videos you're doing are great, please keep it up. small advice would be to keep the audio levels consistent, some sections are a lot louder than others. but the info and slideshow is good.
Just wanted to say this video was amazing. I am just rolling a new Githzerai character based on Monsters of the Multiverse, and this really gave me a lot to incorporate into my backstory and how I can play him. Thanks so much!
@@chriscurran109 We’ll see how it goes! I spent all week working on a voice of an otherworldly mystic, and in the end I think I sounded like Mr. Burns. So we’re off to a flying start…
In the 3.5 fiendish folio it actually reveals that Gith, the greatest rebel of all was a prisoner of Dis. A trophy. It is hinted but not explained if it was a trade, deal, gift, or betrayal. Probably related to the deal made with Tiamat.
We are excited to announce our upcoming Kickstarter focused on tools, kits, & supplies in D&D 5e! www.kickstarter.com/projects/dumpstat/toolcraft-making-tools-useful-for-5e
Thank you! We are just starting out, so it'll take some time but I'm sure that one day we will take over the world! (or, at least, take over our own homebrew world)
I love the Gith and Illithid lore.
You're cutting the end off your paragraphs during editing.
I honestly couldn't even finish the video it was distracting

You’ll have to let us know how playing a Githzerai is. I don’t think either of us have ever played one

The Githyanki were lifted whole cloth from a few old G.R.R Martin sorties set in his Thousand Worlds Universe
Githzerai supremacy!!
I didn't know the gith were evil before the mindflayers enslaved them.
yeah its stated right in fiend folio.😉
Willing to bet this will probably get a LOT of hits over the next few months, thanks to a certain game dropping 😁
This is so hard to listen to because of the sound editing. Really hung in there but I gotta quit. Second try. Sorry, bro.
"Vakalith" too 😢
You neglected Gith Pirates and Athasian Gith
The Pirate of Gith are the first ones talked about in 2nd edition, and the Gith from Dark Sun are also talked about in that edition.
@@DumpStat i like them most
