Chrono Cross is so amazing! The soundtrack is gorgeous and so is the art! I could play it for hours and hours, definitely the best game I've ever played. :)

This by far is the most emotional game I have every played. It broke my heart in 5 seconds and throughout the game I've been fighting to repair it. It did an EXCELLENT job of it too. This music is the icing on the cake. This game was so great that it deserves it's own movie and series of more games. The love put into this game is not noticed well enough.

Back in 2000, I saw the opening just by accident (usually I skip), because it had such warm, inviting colors. And then the words were written, the most beautiful representation of music played, and the stunning sense for art dazzled my mind. I did not hit 'start', and I already knew that this will be the journey of my life. Truly it was. Thank you Kato, thank you Mitsuda, thank you Squaresoft.

The melody just replayed in my head again and again, and suddenly, scanning pictures on Deviant Art, i run into a Chrono Cross one... and it just HIT me like a truck! So I had to look it up, and well, here it is!
I miss the Golden Era of RPG's, current console RPG's just don't have the same quality and feel to it anymore. HD is cool and all but it don't matter if the game is shit.

It's dealing with time and dimensions, the fact that it mostly made sense (at the time, haven't played in a long while) is a damn miracle when those two subjects are involved...
I wish to play this game once more, my grandfather played the Playstation at the same time I did, and he accidentally saved over my Chrono Cross files and I got so mad, I discarded the game and never got a chance to play it again. I sold it at gamestop for another, yet crappy game that is no where near as epic as this... it wasn't till years later that I regret not finishing it... this is, in fact, the best RPG ever.

chrono cross is really underappreciated and one of the forgotten... chrono cross story is one of the most complicated and heart aching story ever made... and the twists is what i like the most.. at the start of the game.. when you see serge stab kid.. i mean what the hell happened? but you see later on in the game that this is what happened..
ooo chrono trigger, chrono cross and ff8 are my fave games ever. i think besides awesome gameplay, all 3 titles had total kickass endings that made playing them so worth it...

Definitely one of my favorite RPGs of all game. The storyline is really good and complex. You would understand it a little better if you also play Chrono Trigger
game was great at in the beginning...awesome graphics, awesome towns to explore, great art, good battle system but its very convoluted towards the end...never finished it but i don't regret buying it

I love the initial poem *.* What was the start of all this? When did the cogs of fate begin to turn? Perhaps it is impossible to grasp that answer now, from deep within the flow of time. But, for a certainty back then, we loved so many, yet hated so much. We hurt others, and were hurt ourselves. And still we ran like the wind, whilst our laughter echoed under cerulean skies.
Man I loved this opening. I remember when they had it as the commercial for the America release. Knew right then I'd buy the game. (besides the fact that is was a sequel to CT)
Even though I'm not the biggest overall fan of the game... it's still the prettiest, most beautiful rpg I've ever seen. And this opening gives goosebumps reliably.
As a game developer Chrono Cross not only gets my "Best game" award, it gets the "Best writing" "Best style" "Best characters" "Most effort" and "Most character awards. Not even the games I can and will develop can compete with this masterpiece.
I played this game when I was maybe six, seven years old, and, at one point, I got so upset with it's level of difficulty that I threw it in the woods. Five years later, I spent an entire day out in the exact spot I'd thrown it, combing through undergrowth and weeds and stuff, trying to find it. That's how desperate I was to play this game.

I'm learning how to play this on piano! But the left hand is killing me lol. especially after the peaceful melody ends. I LOVE CHRONO CROSS btw. Hope the creators get back together to square enix and make a sequel to it.. been hoping for a damn sequel for like 7 years since i played the game in 2002 =(

Did you guys notices that a lot of things of RADICAL DREAMERS are in Chrono Cross, and it's easy to notice, in the begining of this OP you can see that, the scene of the book is from there, RADICAL DREAMERS is a Super Nintendo game, download it and play it (If you like solo rpg)
Yes, Chrono Cross is worth it. It has some of the best graphics I've seen for the original playstation, and it has a very good storyline with awesome cutscenes to go along with it.
Looking back at this game now so many years later, I can't help but notice a striking simularity to the styles and themes used in Kingdom Hearts.

the only game I ever played that got me hooked within the first 5 seconds of seeing an intro. :P my jaw hit the floor.
