Wow thanks Gary for the compliment, really appreciate that 👍❤️ Married life weirdly works better for us in a van (mostly 😂). Of course we do talk sometimes - I have to give Steve satnav directions 😉
Hi Guys Nice to see you both having a good time. We luv Devon too and have never been to that place it looked lovely and worth a visit, really nice. Enjoy the rest of your time off before work again and hope to see you both sometime soon xx 👋👋👋🚍😘
This is what I needed on a Sunday morning, after my plans for car camping yesterday went a bit tits up. Motorway closed, massive diversion, huge traffic jams, and roadworks. Went through plan A, B, C, all the way to Z. Sheffield manic, didn't stop, Bakewell crazy, no place to park. I went home. I guess that's how it goes. You make me laugh, so all is good. ilona
Oh bloody hell, that one wasn't meant to be then, was it 😟 Sometimes it's how it goes as you say. We do prefer to park and explore places outside of the weekend if possible, but it doesn't always work that way. We've been to Bakewell, very pretty, but I don't think we stayed. I couldn't remember if we weren't allowed or it was just too full up! Hopefully you have better luck next time and glad the video could cheer you up somewhat 😊 Thanks Ilona ❤️
@@comealongdear Theoretically I should be able to stealth camp anywhere in a car, with no indication that there is anyone inside. But it is best to park late, and once in the back not to get out until the morning. 5pm is a bit early to be going to bed. 😆😂😛
Definitely a benefit of car camping (we're about as stealthy as a burglar covered in bells) but yes, I imagine you don't usually want to settle down too early in a car
Just discovered your channel a couple of days ago and looooove your videos, content and adventures. Thanks for sharing, guys, you're great (and so entertaining). Fantastic editing also, and the choice of music is really outstanding for this sort of content, well done & keep going!
Oh wow what a wonderful comment to wake up to 😍 Thank you so much! We're really pleased you enjoy the videos and the stuff we show, and thank you for the editing compliment 🙏 Welcome aboard and hope you enjoy our future adventures 😁❤️
Thank you, and good to hear you're enjoying the vids, that means a lot 😊 🙏 We haven't gone into why we chose to do this yet (at least not in depth), we've discussed it recently though so I think it will come up in a video soon! Ireland is 100% on the list, it's just a question of when 😁
Great weekend video good to see you both on form . Have a great break in Devon can't wait to see next week's adventure. Keep up the good work. Regards Geoff and Samuel.
Oh it's absolutely beautiful there, I promise we didn't move just because there was no signal 🤣 We just wanted to press on to Watchet since we were fairly close by then. Only thing is it seemed like you couldn't walk around the reservoir which was a shame, but the park up views were perfect 👌 😁
Van life is amazing although I have to admit we always stayed on sites with shower blocks and electricity for 30 years. Our friends paid 75 grand for a van but would always wild camp.
The great thing is you can do it however suits you or your set up. We prefer to mix it up, but we need sites because our van has a basic set up and we like the comforts a site brings, to shower and charge things up etc . 75 grand, dear god, I expect they do stay off grid for that money, I'd expect a jacuzzi, and kitchen with double oven and dishwasher and one of those fancy "island" things for that price 😂 Bet it's nice though! Do you travel around the UK or go abroad in yours?
Watcher is a fabulous place to visit especially when they have the steam train event there. I have started my van life now and it's great this far. Enjoy your content.
Ah that's brilliant you're out and enjoying it! Have you got any big trips planned? We loved seeing the steam train - the fact it came 4 or 5 times a day, like a regular service, really took you back in time. I think you can get a dayrider ticket to jump on and off too, but not sure how much you'd fit into one day
We spent Alison's birthday hunting on the Asturian coast for fossils, it's her dream to find one, although she might be punching a little high by hoping for a T Rex. Watchet looks lovely and definitely one we need to see. Much love Alison & Darren ❤🤟
Hi guys, well that sounds like the perfect day to me, fossils or no fossils! We didn't find any either (nor when we went looking in Norfolk on another fossil beach, East or West Runton, can't remember, but Alison might be familiar with it). Just ambling around on the shore is idyllic enough. You'd very much enjoy Watchet, a couple of spots for motorhomes too. Take care both ❤️ 🤟
yesterday was my kings birthday and I got soooo plastered ...and walking up to your new vlog with a masive hangover...it is a eye opener....thanks lovely as always...
Watching us with a hangover? You must still be drunk 🥴 😉 I'm sure it was all worth it, Happy Birthday King Willem-Alexander...or do we just call him Willem? Or Alex? Wills?! Or just filthy rich bloke?
I met King Willem a few times when I worked as an airline crew chauffeur here in Edinburgh, we had a contract with KLM and the king would occasionally be a guest pilot in order to keep his licence up to date, he just stayed overnight in the same hotel as the crew, never any airs or graces very down to earth, probably trying to keep as low a profile as possible.
Neither of us are very familiar with him or any other non-UK royals really, but that's quite an interesting story and he sounds alright really 😄 I'd wager that he could walk down most streets in the UK without many people recognising him though!
Thanks guys, glad we could do it some justice! ❤️ We really need to go back to that part of the country more. Where are you now, are you still in Shropshire? Hope you're enjoying it, despite the weather refusing to back down it seems 🤦♂️
We're still in Shropshire, then back to Greengates for Dione's chemo. She's due to be done by September, and then we're heading for Cornwall for the autumn. Yes, the weather has been shit, but we smile through adversity 😁✌️
Well rain or shine, I expect you'll both feel such relief when that's over and you can travel to Cornwall. We loved it there in autumn - less touristy but usually still with nice weather. All the best to both of you, not long now, and hopefully in the meantime we get some sunny days 🤞😍
Howdy Guys!! I would imagine getting drunk with you two would be fun as hell!!! I can just hear the laughs!! Nothing like a good belly laugh to cleanse the soul!! Wild foraging can provide some delicious finds if you know what your doing. Mushrooms, wild garlic & the such are really a treat to the senses!!! Big bear hugs from Kenny in Ohio USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Howdy Kenny! Getting drunk with us might be fun, or it might be more boring than you think 😂 Depends on the day 😉 We have foraged before, not very much, but we do love the idea of it and have had a couple of successes in the past, wild garlic included. Big hugs and thanks for watching as always 🤗
Always moaning Stephen just like my hubby. Wouldn’t have you any other way.❤️ Nothing worst than a soggy bottom 😂 watchet looks lovely. You’re tea looks great. Witches pi*s best form of tea. I love the well how tranquil.
Try to get your fish served separately from the chips, best in a box, still its always depressing when you pay good money for poor quality food, had that so many times🎉
Getting married so you don't have to speak to each other - never a truer word said in jest! You lads are always great fun, however very bold in reminding us all that you add the milk first. What's this about Steph drawing as a hobby? Do we get to see some? A lovely interesting vlog.
Jest? I don't know what you mean 😜 We feel it's always important to remind everyone there are alternative, terrible ways to make tea 😆 Yeah Stephen loves drawing, I'm sure we can share some of it in future! He tends to do it on and off but it's something he can get stuck into when the fancy takes. Thank you for the lovely comment, appreciate it and glad you liked the video ❤️
Note to Watchet visitors, tell the chippy to give them a few more minutes. Steve was a chipper chappie though. Have you ever opened your door half awake in a carpark and had someone gawking at you? 👀 Have a peek first I guess. 👍
Haha no, however, perhaps worse, we have sometimes fallen asleep forgetting to close the sliding door, so have woken up in the middle of the night to darkness and the elements 😬 Less concerned about people on that front and more the critters that might jump in in the meantime!
Beautiful couple - great videos xx
Thank you for the lovely comment ❤️🤗
On a sunny day it would probably look more inviting I guess. Steve giving it both thumbs, wots going on?? 😁😆
He had to have a cold flannel on the forehead after that 😆 Yeah it wasn't the brightest of days, but it was a really charming little place
Wow guys, you sound like you had a great time! I love a good fish and chips by the sea 😋
You can't beat it! Thank you, we really enjoyed ourselves in Watchet
Brilliant guys❤the tea thing tho!great torture😅😅
Thanks Elizabeth, yes we like to keep reminding people of our alternative tea method 🤣
Loved the video. Loved the observations of married life. My favourite guys on RUclips by a mile. Carry on camping. Gary. Xx
Wow thanks Gary for the compliment, really appreciate that 👍❤️ Married life weirdly works better for us in a van (mostly 😂). Of course we do talk sometimes - I have to give Steve satnav directions 😉

That looked like a great beach to explore oh and i also make my tea that way its the best 😂😊
Yay, another one in the witches piss club 😍😂 The beach was great fun, such a surprise down there!
@@comealongdear 🤣😂
great vid guys interesting place simular to charmouth beach in dorset with the rocks and fossils all the best donny
Cheers Donny, would highly recommend Watchet, never been to Charmouth but a quick Google suggests its right up our street 👍 😁
Hi guys .. good to see you both 👍🏻☺️
Thanks Mark, good to hear from you 👍 ❤️
Great video thank you. Very well edited.
Ah we really appreciate that, editing can be fiddling so it's always encouraging to get feedback. Thank you ❤️
Thank you for this episode, you are great 🤩
Ah thank you so much 😍❤️
Love the comment. "We didn't get married to talk" lol. Loving your vlogs xx
Talking's for that bit before marriage when you're all nice to each other, right? 😜😆 Thanks Sharon, glad you're enjoying the vids ❤️
@comealongdear I think you get into a groove whereby you almost don't need to talk much. Love your sense of humour though xx
Absolutely, we are very comfortable in our silences when they happen, because we spend most of our time together, so it's normal!
@@comealongdear It's when we are in the pub that we say....What shall we talk about lol
Another great video thank you guys love linda x
You're welcome Linda, hope you're well and glad you liked another of our daft adventures 😍❤️
I’m really enjoying your videos. Did you ever do a video on why you chose this lifestyle?
You need to visit Ireland sometime soon. 👍

See, we're not insane! 🤣😍
Great weekend video good to see you both on form .
Have a great break in Devon can't wait to see next week's adventure.
Keep up the good work.
Regards Geoff and Samuel.
Thanks Geoff and Samuel, glad you enjoyed it ❤️ We have left there now but we intend to return in future
The reservoir is bliss on a summer evening, one of my go to spots for a couple of days when I'm passing through that way
Oh it's absolutely beautiful there, I promise we didn't move just because there was no signal 🤣 We just wanted to press on to Watchet since we were fairly close by then. Only thing is it seemed like you couldn't walk around the reservoir which was a shame, but the park up views were perfect 👌 😁

Keep going guys, I love your video's ❤. The two of you are adorable, come to South Africa 💪
Thanks so much! 😍 Would love to come to South Africa. Bit far to drive the van mind 😂
Another great video guys. Spent a lot of time in North Devon, and you showed Watchet in a great light. All our best to you both ✌️

We've always eaten porridge raw - I didn't know cooked porridge was a thing!
I definitely think cooked porridge is more of a thing in the UK than raw, but then it's also possible we've been living a very sheltered life 😂

I make my tea exactly the same way. How much was Stevens ice cream 🍦
Oh thank god there are others like us 🙏🤣 I think the ice cream was about £2 - not bad at all compared to what many charge now!
Thank you for my Sunday smile ❤
Ah thank you, you're very welcome, glad it gave you a bit of joy 😊 ❤️
I actually prefer a rocky coastline to a sandy beach. Much more interesting and dramatic. And a lot less peopley!
100%! I mean we love them all, but you can't beat ones like this with a varied landscape. And yes, less people suits us down to the ground 😆👍
I think the missionary waved his magic wand at you pair. 😂❤️🥂xx
I think the spell went a bit wrong if he did! The holy water just gave me a rash instead 🤔
Always moaning Stephen just like my hubby. Wouldn’t have you any other way.❤️ Nothing worst than a soggy bottom 😂 watchet looks lovely.
You’re tea looks great. Witches pi*s best form of tea. I love the well how tranquil.
Witches Piss! Haha perfect, that's what we're calling it now. Milky and magical 😆 Thanks Paul, at least someone else has a Stephen on hand 😂❤️
Try to get your fish served separately from the chips, best in a box, still its always depressing when you pay good money for poor quality food, had that so many times🎉

Steve should be a judge on Britains got talent. Talentless Britain won’t know what’s hit it. 🤦♂️😂❤️🥂
Oh definitely, but the actual talent wouldn't know what had hit it either to be fair 😆 I think he might even prefer the hapless ones
He’d be a winner though. He’s what the show needs. 😂😂❤️
Don't you both mon
Yep! 🤪
Raw porridge, now your just being lazy.
It's true! Space/time/energy is premium in a van 😉
Milk first before the boiling water!!! How could you?? Lads, get a grip. : ) Apart from that ,great watching you, fellas.
