Loved the walk around Clare village, I was there many times over the years, and stayed in Clare Priory with the Augustinion Friors for a number of weekends, it's truly beautiful place, thanks Dan and Steve
Oh how fantastic that must have been to stay there! Did you stay there for religious reasons or purposes if I may ask? We barely featured that priory in this video but it looked like a wonderful place, like Clare itself
Well you don't need to tell us twice 😁🍸Hasn't done us any harm * checks liver * Nope, still there. Side note, it probably seems like we drink a lot in our videos, and perhaps we do, but believe it or not we've drunk a lot less the last two years than we ever have in the last 15+. I think we just tend to showcase it more when doing the van videos
Hello Boys!!! Actually taking a good shot before bed when you're ailing is quite beneficial. It helps you sleep & the ginger is good for your cold!! Big hugs & tugs from Kenny in Ohio USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have just found your channel, and I loved it. Thank you so much. I also feel validated now that its perfectly acceptable to eat jam tarts in the night.x Could you possibly extend this to a 24 hour cure all? I would be for ever grateful x
Hi joanna, welcome aboard 😍 So happy you're enjoying our channel and very grateful you've taken the time to watch us 🙏 I can confirm after consulting with Dr Stephen that jam tarts of all flavours are indeed a suitable 24 cure all remedy. Who'd have thunk it?! 😁
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year. Wish you were here 😆. Good to see you both looking fit again. Was jam tart cockney rhyming slang for a bottom burp? 👍
We are indeed (two lost souls in a fish bowl that is, not so much the looking fit part but we will take the compliment 😂😍). Haha no, it was exactly as it sounds: a box of jam tarts from Tesco 😆
Hi 👋 guys glad to hear you are feeling better hope your energy levels go back to normal soon. Sorry to hear you got lost on your walk it did look a bit confusing with the signs! Keep warm and remember if you fancy our area to explore we have plenty of room on the driveway with electric 🚍👋🥰
Ah thank you kindly guys, we really appreciate the offer 🙏 ❤ Energy getting back to normal but it's taking a while 🙃 The walk was still fun despite getting lost, although I did start ranting and raving by the end (which funnily enough didn't make the final cut 😂)
Nice to hear you’re getting better, but these bloody winter colds and flu and vertices go on forever and ever we missed you at Arrendale but hopefully catch up with you at some stage on the road. Feel well soon. Love PJ
Cheers Paul, yep the remnants are still there annoyingly with lingering coughs and runny noses that just won't go away, but hey, we'll live 🤪 We will be back at Arundel in future undoubtedly so maybe we'll bump into you in the future 😊
Hi Guys...glad you both feeling well enough t venture out! I always find those park 'maps' a bit misleading...coz they're diagrams of the walks n often not in scale...just made t fit design on notice board! Being 'old school' myself....can't beat an ordinance survey map...once you get into them they're easy t read...it might not be practical t buy a new map each time you change area...but I believe they do an app! You get a lot more 'clues' t surrounding area so less likely t get lost...n if you do..can get back on track/find alternative so you dont end up "back tracking"! No you're never boring! Glad you got the hats!
Ah thank you so much Heidi ❤ You know that's a good idea about the ordnance survey app...you can't beat them and as you say, not practical to buy new maps all the time. I imagine they have a lot more detail than AllTrails. I really have no idea how we went wrong on that walk, I feel it must have been right near the start because we couldn't figure it out at all. Oh well, it was still a good hike and there are worse places to get lost than the Suffolk countryside 😁
19:55 Wow, Clare is stunning with all those beautiful buildings & all different too. I can get lost in a barrel so understand how easily you did even with a map... When I had covid as long as I had the energy to walk a bit I found I felt so much better for getting outside, nights were the worst for feeling really ill & it felt like a big victory surviving until morning! Hot water bottles are a great way to get warm, put between your thighs until you feel warmer then on your chest, really helps. Enjoyed the video as usual. X
Thank you, we quite literally picked Clare off a map and I'm very glad we did. Suffolk is packed with these kinds of pretty places. Getting outside definitely helps mentally, which then helps physically you'd think, so we knew we had to do it. The sun being out makes it ten times easier. We love a hot water bottle, you can't beat the old classic remedies like that 😁❤
Oh you're right, that's a fail on our old wives' tales test 🙈 Mind you, I'm pretty sure starving a cold is generally terrible advice 😂 Jam tarts are the answer 😉
Sorry, did you say don't listen to you for health advice? Alison's has just spent 100€ on jam tarts and rum 😂... Clare or Clare, depending on how one pronounces, it looks right up our street although maybe just for a visit as the house prices seem a little??? No, a huge amount out of our financial capability. Also we learned the cooking heats the van trick while visiting the UK recently. Looking forward to next week's video 😉🤟🏼♥️
Ah now we said for health purposes, for all other purposes, including indulgent satisfaction and fun, tarts and rum have our full backing 😆🤪 But, as Stephen felt better afterwards, we can only assume jam tarts are also the greatest undiscovered medication 🤷♂️ You would have loved Clare. A very pretty abbey house too which we ran out of time to show properly. Expensive to live no doubt, but welcome to the UK 🙃 Although yes Clare was definitely on the "you better be rich if you think you're coming here" scale 😂 Thanks guys, looking forward to it too 😀 🤟
I love you guys I realy do but you are horrendus cooks......maybe it is becausse I am a perfectionist and also an exsecutive chef but when I see your cooking my hair stands on end and I get gusebumps and not in a good way....if you ever go back to Europa let me know and I ll buy you a beer and give you some pointers and you can teach me how to vanlife in 2025 I retire and my dream is to hit the road and see all the places I always wanted to see but never had time... Have fun guys
Ah thank you Robert, well I guess some reaction to our food is better than no reaction 🤣 In fairness it is rather difficult to cook well in our van - one pot jobs tend to be the order of the day due to space. Of course we'd always be willing to learn a few tips over a beer so perhaps one day. Take care 🍺

They say that ginger is good for colds etc. So, technically, your cocktail is really a healthy drink! 🤘🤣

Ah now don't encourage us to drink more Kenny 🤣 Agree about the ginger for sure. Big hugs back and thanks for watching 🤗

🧱 Another pile of bricks for Stephen to stare at.......Fabulous.👀
Well we know how much he loves them. At least we're consistent I guess 🤷♂️🤪

Thanks guys ❤ Absolutely love it around here, so much countryside and pretty places to visit. And Stephen loves it because it's flat 😂
