Pro tip here: you're applying the nozzle too perpendicular to the strand of hair. This will blow the cuticle open. Make sure you point the nozzle towards the ends of the hair, to make the cuticle more flat, resulting in more shine and condition.
Yaz! Exactly! My hair dresser blows my hair incorrectly, like that, even sometimes pointing the dryer up towards the roots! It causes frizz! Unfortunately she’s not great at blowouts maybe it’s time to say 👋🏻
I literally have a 25yo Conair hairdryer. It blows hard and hot, slower and hot etc... It was $15… still works, dries my hair. I don't know... All of these seem so gimmicky. I think at that price point it better regrow my hair, cook dinner, and clean the house.
Yeah I've had my Conair Pro for...... around ten years and it's working like day one. Has four different heat settings and two different air flow settings. I never understood pricy blow dryers.
The main problem with the Dyson is that there are no repair/service centers for them. Dyson won’t even repair them when they’re out of warranty. Also, Dyson states that their hairdryer is designed to last approximately 5 years. For the price I think that’s way to short a time for the home consumer. Personally, I prefer either the SRI or the Velecta Paramount OS. I also like the Elchim 3900.
@@garyzimmerman6367 With that price, that's why I think Dyson will better suit professional hairstylists. As a home consumer, I will choose an older model of T3 as my hairdryer
I bought the supersonic last summer and I’ve never been happier. It dries my hair in a super short amount of time and it’s also perfect for getting a perfect blowout. Plus it’s very quiet compared to other hair blowing tools. Totally worth the price!
I had years ago a hairdryer with this sensor within. It was a german brand. The dryer cools down automatically, fantastic. It got broken after long years of using. I never found that item again. Probably from very expensive brands. Mine was about 60-80 €.
I love my Dyson Supersonic and I use it for my own hair and also for my clients hair! I would say that 50% of my clients have all bought one after I started using mine on their hair, this is due to you being able to dry your hair super fast with the airflow on full and the heat on 1 or 2! This way it’s creating so much more protection of the heat on their hair. Both myself and my clients have noticed that they have almost zero split ends compared to how their hair health was before when they were blasting it with high heat and airflow. So in my book Dyson is the winner 😃🙏🎄✨🙏🎄✨🙏🎄✨🙏🎄✨
As a hairstylist, I have a Dyson. I was given the Tineco to try & give my feedback. It was awful. Doing long hair clients werent as bad but clients with short hair that were sopping wet wouldn't detect correctly. And it wouldn't detect right so it would turn down when you're still trying to smooth out the hair. Made me so mad I gave it back to the person. Lol. It also hurt my wrist cause its heavier than the Dyson. Tineco also makes vacuums which who knows if those are any good.
Hey there! Which babies would you say was the lightest, please? I have chronic pain issues and am in a lot of pain after styling my hair with a Babyliss Big Hair brush dryer (50mm). Thanks for all your help xx
Is it worth it? It depends on your situation. If you want long healthy hair, if your hair is extremely damaged, if you're getting older and dealing with hair loss, the Dyson is an amazing tool in your arsenal. You also need good product and professional cuts and colors. If you're young, you have short hair, you color and cut your own hair, there are other more affordable options. I have one. It’s really nice but I got use to no handle chi handshot (newer chi handle less model is too big for my hands). The gama iq is more quiet but at a higher pitch, which sucks because I wear hearing aids. I found and fhi that has exact handleless design like original chi hand shot! Found it on overstock for about $60-70. Compact and pretty efficient.
